Chapter 851 Three Palaces

There were all kinds of devils on the other continent called the Devil Continent.

Dating back to the ancient times, there had only been one formal agreement between the Justice Continent and the Devil Continent—they would not stop fighting against each other until the last creature from either continent died.

Over countless years, both continents had each gained victories and suffered losses for almost equal times. When all their previous and recent fights were combined and tallied together, it could clearly be seen that the fight had been in a draw.

However, things had changed since over twenty years ago. It was during the time when the Devil King—the most powerful warrior ranked number one in the entire Devil Continent—made a breakthrough and became a first-class completed spiritual king at peak state, incredibly surpassing the human emperor.

Following the Devil King's breakthrough as a first-class completed spiritual king was the devils’ invasion of the Justice Continent. For the past over twenty years, the devils had barged into Justice Continent territory until such time that they now occupied about two-thirds of their enemy's land. One could only imagine the sheer number of powerful warriors from the Human Royal Palace who were slain and killed. All those years, the human warriors had to endure losing more and more of their brothers-in-arms. It didn't take long before they became powerless against the Tiger Royal Palace and the EIf Royal Palace. Fortunately, neither of the two palaces had bullied the Human Royal Palace. This was because the three forces shared a common enemy in the form of the devils.

Sadly, the last remaining prince of the Human Royal Palace perished during the latest battle against the devils. To make things worse, the human emperor was also nearing his deterioration. Therefore, the other two palaces would have to fight over who would enjoy authority in the Justice Continent. Obviously, the human emperor also knew that this was bound to happen. As such, after a quick discussion among the three forces, he decided to hold a martial arts contest in search for the most suitable and deserving son-in-law.

Meanwhile, the Human Royal Palace also had a princess. She was called Princess Lori.

All the male creatures who were less than three hundred years old in the Justice Continent were qualified to participate in the contest. The final winner would be granted permission to marry Princess Lori. He would also be granted the title of Justice King and gain authority over the entire Justice Continent.

The so-called Justice King could directly order all the creatures from the three palaces. Naturally, he could also call upon all the creatures residing within the Justice Continent.

The contest was set to be held in ten days.

That was because they knew that the devils would attack them again very soon.

They didn't have the luxury of time to sit around and wait for things to happen. If they wanted to win against those devils once and for all, then they needed a powerful and capable leader to lead them.

"A martial arts contest to find a husband for the princess? It sounds great! I hope that Princess Lori is not just some unattractive girl whose only appearance is enhanced by her royal bloodline.” Soar pursed his lips before he smirked mockingly. Despite his light jest at the contest, it seemed that he was quite interested in joining himself.

"Did I hear that right? You want to be the so-called Justice King?" Ricky grinned.

"Ricky, we are newcomers here. We can't obtain the Justice Saber Soul unless we help the creatures on the Justice Continent on their quest to defeat devils. In order for us to do that, the Justice King must be either one of us. You or me, buddy." Soar pointed his forefinger at Ricky, a wide smile forming across his lips.

"Unfortunately for you, you already have two women in the Massacring Zone. It will obviously be inconvenient for you to participate in the contest. Therefore, you have to entrust the title of Justice King to me."

"How dare you!" Ricky shook his head helplessly.

"But Soar, you haven't forgotten Madeline, have you?" Ricky asked as the woman's name came to his mind.

"Of course I haven't, Ricky. But I'm a guy and I'm a Great Dragon bound to fly high and far..I'm going to explore the vast, vast world in the near future. And so, I must..." Soar stared at the sky, his eyes glimmering and filled with expectations.

However, before he could even finish his words, Ricky interrupted. He took a quick glance at his delusional friend and shook his head before saying, "You're daydreaming!"

"You got one thing right, though. If we acquire the title of the Justice King, it will be convenient for us to accomplish what we must.”

Ricky rested his chin on the space between his forefinger and thumb. "And if my assumptions are correct, one of the main reasons why the human emperor launched this contest is because deep down, he hopes that someone strong and skilled enough would emerge and defeat the geniuses from the other two palaces.”

"All the more reason that you must hand me the spotlight. Please let me be the Justice King, Ricky," Soar appealed.

The two warriors then headed for the capital city of the Human Royal Palace.

Presently, the capital city of the Human Royal Palace no longer held its former glory. All over the continent, the countless traces of war, bloodshed, gunpowder and smoke were very visible. It was as if the last war had only taken place yesterday.

Although already close to being desolated, the continent was still being frequented by many creatures. The sudden boost in the visitors was the result of the upcoming martial arts contest. It seemed that many warriors from far and wide had taken interest in taking the princess’ hand for marriage.

Ricky and Soar were already there too. They observed the geniuses in secret and discovered that there was nobody there who could pose a possible threat to them. The strongest one they encountered by far had just reached the realm of completed spiritual king.

A lot of them were around the age of three hundred and below.

"Ricky, it seems that I'm going to get what I want with ease.” Soar placed his hands on his hips and slouched slightly, allowing himself to let his guard down a little.

"Our real opponents are not these people, but rather, the geniuses from the Tiger Royal Palace and the EIf Royal Palace,” Ricky reminded him.

Soon, the time for the contest came. Before the contest formally commenced, the Human Royal Palace's human emperor arrived. Beside him was a second-class completed spiritual king, and a group of people followed him from behind.

The human emperor was an old man with white hair. Wearing a golden armor, he looked very kind. With the help of the life and death zone, Ricky could clearly feel that the human emperor was about to enter the deterioration stage. But, if he could make a breakthrough, the situation could be postponed.

The human emperor sat on the cloud bed in the arena.

A moment later, Princess Lori showed up. She had a perfect figure. She looked graceful and pure. She was quite a beauty.

Unfortunately for the eager onlookers, Princess Lori was wearing a veil.

As they eavesdropped on the conversations of the other creatures, Ricky and Soar learned that she had never shown her face in public. Thus, nobody outside the royal family knew or had any idea of how she looked like.

"Ricky, please have a look at her with your Golden Spirit Eyes for my sake. What does she look like?" Soar requested telepathically.

Hearing Soar's plea, Ricky had no choice but to activate his Golden Spirit Eyes.

Times like this had proven that even for things as trivial as looking beyond a concealed countenance, some of Ricky's abilities could be quite useful

After the people from the Human Royal Palace arrived, the warriors from the Tiger Royal Palace and the EIf Royal Palace also came, one after another.

The leader of the Tiger Royal Palace was an old man dressed in black. Despite his apparent elderly appearance, his spirit seemed to be quite the opposite, exuding such strength and vitality that was at the peak level. He was obviously full of blood and vigor. There was still a long way for him to go before he entered the deterioration stage.

Ricky's and Soar's eyes were fixed on the two young men behind the old man.

One man had thick black hair and was tall as a tower. The other guy opposite him donned red hair and had a slimmer physique. They both had a calm expression on their faces.

"Ricky, is that young man with black hair the young master of the Tiger Royal Palace—Pollard?" Soar asked telepathically. "He seems to be a little difficult to deal with."

"Soar, we haven't heard about the young man with red hair. Yet somehow, I feel that he is more dangerous than the brute beside him." Ricky tilted his head to the side. Could his intuition be right? "Really?" Soar raised an eyebrow. "What makes you say that, Ricky?!" He stared confusedly at Ricky, before he turned his back at the direction of Pollard and the redhead opposite him.

He wanted to take a better look and see if he could affirm Ricky's assessment.

The leader of the EIf Royal Palace was a middle-aged woman.

The elves were all short in stature, and their bodies looked like porcelain dolls.

The females were naturally all incomparably beautiful and lovable, but the males looked a little frailer and meeker than their female counterparts.

There were two geniuses among the elves. One was Princess Sheila, who was not in attendance at that time. After all, as a female, she was not qualified to compete in the martial arts contest. The other genius was Egan, and he graced the event with his presence.

What was striking about Egan was the lack of masculinity in his features. It made him appear as more like a delicate woman

Of course, there were also other geniuses from the three palaces. But compared to the aforementioned geniuses, they were not as prominent and recognizable.

After the leaders of the three palaces greeted one another, the human emperor stood up, glanced around and announced the beginning of the martial arts contest
