Chapter 871 Pollard's Surrender

The beast emperor was now badly wounded and in a state of madness. All of his preparations and plans were in vain.

An inherent fury boiled deep within his body and evolved into his power in no time. He was about to kill Pollard with his own hands, when suddenly, his power weakened and completely faded. He instead ended up vomiting another mouthful of blood, worsening the serious injuries on his body. In return, Pollard smiled faintly. The expression on his face remained unchanged, harmless and innocuous.

"Father, you have been seriously injured. Don't move. Otherwise, if you die, don't blame me!" He grinned at his father as he walked slowly.

"I never expected you to be such a disrespectful son! Tell me! What are you planning to do?" The beast emperor berated Pollard furiously, his face turning pale.

"Father, if I hadn't arrived, I wouldn't have seen this,” Pollard calmly said while still maintaining the weak smile on his face. "As for being called a disrespectful son, I'm sorry but I won't accept that. After all, I have never thought about killing you, not even once.

I just want to get your power. That's what I need. I have no need for your head or your life.

Father, you are old now. I will take over your ambition of unifying the Justice Continent and the Devil Continent.

You just need to give your power to me and you can move on and enjoy your life. You can have all kinds of beauties and privileges that you desire. The only thing you need to do is leave your power to me and you will finally have peace.”

During the said battle, Soar killed Trevor and Ricky defeated the two lords of the Blood Devil Palace. All the creatures of the Justice Continent were excited and jumped for joy.

After returning to the Human Royal Palace and reporting things to the human emperor and the elf emperor, Ricky and Soar began their preparations. They were about to set off and head toward the Tiger Royal Palace. Even if they couldn't take back the one fourth of the Justice Saber Soul, they still had to eliminate the threat of the Tiger Royal Palace.

However, they were stopped mid-way as Pollard arrived with a group of powerful warriors from the Tiger Royal Palace.

There was a thick silence that enveloped the area surrounding them.

"Pollard, to tell you the truth, Ricky and I were about to pay you a visit at your palace,” Soar said sarcastically. "Now, instead of your father, it is you who appear before us. Could it be because your father was hurt so seriously by Ricky that he couldn't come?"

"Are you kidding me? The reason why I came here is because I want to apologize and promise that from now on, the Tiger Royal Palace will only fight the devils,” Pollard said seriously.

Ricky and the others were shocked by Pollard's revelation. They looked at each other and found it hard to believe.

"You don't believe me, huh?" Pollard whispered, observing the expressions of Ricky and his companions.

"My father has already realized his mistake, and so he quit and stepped down from his position. I am now the beast emperor.”

"What? Your father has already stepped down from his position!?" Both the human emperor and the elf emperor dropped their jaws and exclaimed altogether.

Even Ricky and his companions were also taken by surprise.

"Ricky, I have sensed something unusual!" Soar told Ricky using his internal power.

"Indeed, something seems unusual. The injuries I caused to the beast emperor were not serious at all. Even if he really wanted to apologize to us, there is no need for him to quit his position," Ricky replied.

Thus, it would be impossible for him to willingly step down from his position as the beast emperor willingly,” the human emperor said, with a worried expression evident on his face.

"Whether it's true or not, since the Tiger Royal Palace wants to fight the devils with us, we have to agree. Well, at least we have to call a truce in the meantime and show to the public that we are in this together,” Ricky suggested.

"If the creatures from the Tiger Royal Palace want to play tricks on us, then let's play along with them. As for the beast emperor, I agree with you. I don't think he will give up the position, either.

I hope you can send more people to monitor the Tiger Royal Palace for the following days." Ricky placed a hand over the human emperor's shoulder.
