Chapter 948 First Fight Against A Demi-spiritual Emperor

"The leader of the Shark Palace has a son named Hyatt. Apparently, Hyatt is a major hall leader of the Shark Palace,” Hugh reported. "Although I haven't met him in person before, I think that he must be the hall leader who is currently in front of us.

I asked some people on their thoughts about him. According to them, he is nothing but shameless and vicious!

"Maybe some would follow your rules blindly. However, don't expect us to do the same for we don't have the slightest interest in abiding by your ridiculous rules,” Ricky replied with firmness in his voice. "Get out of the way, or you'll become roasted in an instant!"

"Ha-ha, since when have humans from the continent become so arrogant? I never thought I would live to see the day they become so full of themselves!" Hyatt could not help but burst into laughter upon hearing Ricky's comment. But soon, his laughs were coupled with fury and strong killing intent.

In Hyatt's opinion, humans from the continent should never dare act smugly in the sea area even if there was a spiritual emperor just behind them

Just as his voice trailed off, he stretched out his right hand. Right away, one of his men handed him a spiritual weapon in the form of a bow and gently placed it on his right hand.

Aiming at Ricky, he condensed the unique but incomplete ruling power of a demi-spiritual emperor to the arrow and shot it towards Ricky's direction. However, since Hyatt was merely an ordinary demi-spiritual emperor, his incomplete ruling power was still at the preliminary stage.

Being a sea creature, he was used to cultivating water enlightenment and water ruling power.

With the incomplete ruling power, the energy of the water encircled the arrow which then evolved into the shadow of a black shark.

On the other hand, this arrow was just a casual attack from Hyatt. But Ricky knew better than to underestimate it. After all, he still didn't know if he could defeat an ordinary demi-spiritual emperor. Even though demi-spiritual emperors were still inside the spiritual king realm, they were apparently much stronger than spiritual kings in a general sense. Nevertheless, there were qualitative differences between enlightenment and incomplete ruling power.

However, it was clear to Ricky that his strength had exceeded that of a completed spiritual king even though he was not an ordinary demi-spiritual emperor yet. He needed only the incomplete ruling power in order to become an ordinary demi-spiritual emperor.

'l wonder if my five types of runes will be able to withstand this incomplete ruling power, * Ricky thought to himself.

Just like water could suppress fire, flame could suppress water too. Ricky burst out his chaotic fire runes in an attempt to dodge the arrow, intending for a collision with the flame fist.

Bang! The sound of colliding metals filled the atmosphere as Ricky was hit by the arrow. There was a shallow and slight blood stain on his fist, which was hardly anything like a wound.

Meanwhile, the arrow's track had suddenly changed.

Despite the fact that Ricky was at a disadvantage in terms of realm, he had already proven to himself that he was capable of competing against a demi-spiritual emperor.

This would not be possible if it weren't for his five zones. Ricky looked at these five zones as his greatest trump card that he could use to challenge someone superior to him.

'Wish me luck. This is my first fight against a demi-spiritual emperor, * Ricky thought to himself excitedly. Now that he had the strength of a demi-spiritual emperor, he was finally qualified to access the real spiritual emperor realm.

Thinking of these things gave him his much needed fighting spirit in order to achieve his goal.

To his surprise, Hyatt saw how Ricky unexpectedly resisted his arrow. Being spared, Ricky gained more confidence now that his life would not be in the hands of Hyatt. But this was bad news for Hyatt. More and more blood boiled out of sheer anger inside his body. Due to his fury and killing intent, the sea water in this area began to surge violently.

"You seem to have no idea that even if you continue to do this, death will be waiting for you at the finish line," Hyatt growled angrily.

"Hugh, please step back with others. Let me use this Black King Shark to test the power that I have obtained by breaking through during the past few days," Ricky scowled.

"Ricky, be careful! It is obvious that Hyatt has broken through and been a demi-spiritual emperor for a long time,” Hugh warned.

"Don’t worry. I might not be able to defeat him right now, but as long as he is not an lower-grade demi-spiritual emperor yet, he won't be able to kill me, either,” Ricky responded with overflowing confidence.

"How arrogant of you!" Hearing Ricky's words, Hyatt grew even more furious than he already was. "Go to hell! Shark Waterfall!"

Hyatt commanded. Upon activating his power, the surging sea waves around him immediately formed columns, on which the shadows of Black King Sharks appeared and roared ferociously. Afterwards, they formed into great Shark Waterfalls that streamed from all directions, but all united to strike towards Ricky.

This grand move was nothing but Hyatt's way of demonstrating his superb power.

Seeing this, Ricky took a step forward and let out a yell signaling that he was ready for the battle. "Flame Torrent, change the torrent into columns!” Ricky roared as his eyes burned with scorching flames. Meanwhile, the chaotic fire runes evolved into nine passages in total. In these passages, the flames rolled and surged uncontrollably.

As a result, nine flames exploded from Ricky, all aiming to crash fiercely with the Shark Waterfall that came from every direction.

It was known that water and fire were incompatible. In fact, such collision of the two elements naturally led to destruction. When water and fire were mixed, the most violent power would be produced.

After crashing into one another, Ricky and Hyatt both flew back from the impact.

However, Hyatt retreated slowly. Meanwhile, Ricky, being the disadvantaged warrior, retreated as heavily as he could.

But that explosion was enough to make Hyatt's face extremely clouded.

“Things are getting pretty hot. Although I have the strength of a demi-spiritual emperor, my power seems to be the weakest among all demi-spiritual emperors, * Ricky thought and assessed the situation

It was only after experiencing this collision that he realized the limits of his strength.

His wrath did not stop there for he was only getting started. This time, he was going to take it seriously.
