Chapter 100: Cake for Her

Yu Fei stops by the lake where a few children are holding the ball and running around. With a gentle smile, Yu Fei's eyes follow their movements. Ko Chen is afraid of being discovered by her, so he hides behind a big tree and carefully protrudes half of his head, watching Yu Fei's every move, preoccupied. Ko Chen turns his head with a poker-face for his leg is suddenly hit by a ball. A boy holding the ball cowardly looks at him, and sees Ko Chen turning, hurriedly apologize, "I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to..." His expression shows that he is scared. For he does not hear Ko Chen's response, the boy's mouth corner is downcast and his eyes turns red, and it seems that he is about to cry. His expression makes Ko Chen

nervous.

Ko Chen quickly squats down and looks at the boy at the same level, wiping away the tears on his face with his sleeve, explaining: "I'm not angry with you. Really. It's OK. Don't cry." Listening to his comfort, the boy gradually stops crying, but he does not stop sobbing completely, which makes him look like a little poor. This child is very cute, so after Ko Chen stares him for a while, his thoughts unconsciously drift to him and Fei's child. He doesn't know the unborn baby's appearance, but Yu Fei and he are his parents, so he must be good-looking.

The boy notices that Ko Chen is in a trance, and he waves his hand in front of Ko's face several times to make him come to his senses. Without fear, the boy raises his face with a bright big smile, inviting Ko Chen to play together with passion, "Please, play ball with me." Although the boy is still a kid, his voice is very loud. Ko Chen notices Yu Fei turns a little toward his direction, and hurriedly hides behind tree. The boy misunderstands that Ko Chen is playing games with him, and excitedly bounces up and down. Ko Chen nervously swallows, and if he has been found to follow in secret, with those things that happened before, Fei is likely to be aware of his plan. Thinking of these, Ko Chen beckons to the child. The boy excitedly runs to him with an innocent lovely look, "What game do you play? I have never played that before." The boy sees so, his big black eyes roll, and speaks with breath sound carefully like talking secret, "Trust me, nobody can find us." Ko Chen's nerve is relieved by the boy's cute action. He slightly smiles, pats the boy's head, and praises: "Well done. If no one finds us, we will win." Listening this, the boy is happier with his bright eyes twinkling, holding the ball and squatting down to shrink into a small ball. It's so lovely.

"Three, two, one, time's up!" Ko Chen shows with a finger that countdown ends, and gives the boy a thump-up sign. The boy excitedly jumps up. His eyes curl into a charming crescent due to his smile. Ko Chen comes closer to the boy, and pretends to be mysterious, whispering in his ear, "We are friends cause we play the game together. I'll give you a task, can you get it down?" The boy holds the ball in his left hand and salutes with the right hand with standard excitedly, as if he were really an officer about to go on duty. "I'll get the job done!" Ko Chen is amused by this little guy completely and his nervousness eases. He takes the ball in the child's hand and gives him the cake he brought, pulling the boy slightly from the tree where he can barely see Yu Fei.

Fei is staring at the children playing ahead, and doesn't notice them. Ko Chen points at Yu Fei, telling the little boy: "Do you see that Mrs wearing yellow casual clothes? Just give her this cake." The boy nods to show that he understands and then he is about to go in a hurry. But Ko Chen stops him and reminds him: "If she asks who sends the cake, you can't tell her it's me, do you understand? Because my identity is a secret. No one else should know it. Only we two." After the boy has been told several times, Ko Chen lets the boy go. But he doesn't trust the little boy completely so he quietly watches him behind the tree. Ko sees him stop behind Yu Fei, and probably he calls, then Yu Fei turns and looks at the kid in puzzle. Because of the distance, Ko Chen cannot hear their dialogue, and just sees Yu Fei bend down to pat the boy's head. Her mouth opens, maybe she is asking who gives her this cake. The boy suddenly turns round and is about to point to the direction where Ko is. Ko Chen hurriedly hides well and laughs at himself for he actually believed such a little kid to be able to keep the secret. Ko Chen looks around hurriedly to find a way to escape. Although he dare not head out to see again now, he can imagine Yu Fei probably comes his way with the kid.

"Mrs, it's here" Yu Fei holds the kid's hand to come towards the tree, and along the direction of his fingers pointing to the tree, she finds there is nothing except a ball on the ground. Picking up the ball, Fei gives it to the boy, gently asking, "Is this yours?" The boy nods and happily holds it. Seeing nothing behind the tree, he gets more excited and jumps, "He must be playing games with me again! Do you want to play with us?" Yu Fei lowers her head and looks at the cake in her hand, then asks confusedly, "can you tell me how the man who gave you the cake looks like?"

"He was very handsome, tall and liked to play games with me," the boy holds ball and recalls with an innocent expression. Hearing his answer, Yu Fei immediately smiles. It's unlikely to hear a detailed description of the appearance from such a little kid, and she actually has thought too much. But in order to satisfy her curiosity, Yu Fei could not help but ask one last question, "What color is he wearing?" "Black." Only by such a little description, Yu Fei can not guess who this mysterious man is, but a voice in her heart hints to her. Maybe it was Ko Chen.
