In the empty room, one could vaguely hear the woman's unsteady breathing. Her long hair was scattered on the pillow in a messy manner, and her long black hair was in a strong contrast to the white pillow.

Yu Fei sometimes trembled and her eyelashes made her look pitiful. She looked like she was immersed in a sad atmosphere.

"No!" Yu Fei screamed and woke up from her nightmare. Her pajamas were completely wet with sweat and her long hair was stuck to her face. She looked like she had just been pulled out of water.

Yu Fei stared at the ceiling for a few seconds before she slowly sat down and hugged herself tightly.

A heavy sense of fatigue emerged from the bottom of her heart. Yu Fei leaned against the head of the bed and emptied her thoughts. She didn't want to think about anything else, but her mind was so disobedient that she kept repeating scenes in her mind. Everything that had happened during this period of time was like a long and cruel movie. However, whenever she thought about any of the scenes, she had the urge to cry.

Ever since Ke Chen proposed to divorce her, the child in her womb became her only hope and support. Yu Fei didn't remember how many times she persevered on the scene after the child was born. However, now that the child was gone, Yu Fei could not accept it.

Yu Fei sat on the bed with no strength at all. Every muscle in her body seemed to have relaxed and was torn into independent parts, not under the control of her brain.

I looked like I had nothing. What was the point of living? Yu Fei's right hand gripped onto the bedsheet under her and thought dejectedly, feeling desolate.

Even though it was dark in front of her, Ke Chen and Tan Lin's figures kept flashing in front of her. The two of them were both staring at her with to bare fangs and brandish claws.

She didn't want to think about these things again. Yu Fei lay down again and violently flipped over her body. She pulled the covers over her head, and the light was immediately blocked out of the blanket. This dark environment made Yu Fei feel much more at ease. She curled up her body into a small group and nestled in the quilt, but she still couldn't feel any warmth or sleepiness.

A heavy hatred engulfed Yu Fei. She had no other thoughts except revenge.

As she was disturbed by the chaotic emotions, a person suddenly popped up in Yu Fei's mind, someone who might be able to help her, Gu Yi.

Now, Gu Yi was the only person who could help me. Yu Fei thought this and finally fell asleep.

There was no dream all night.

Early the next morning, after Ke Chen went to the company, Yu Fei took the initiative to contact Gu Yi.

When he received the woman's call, Gu Yi was a little surprised. After he took Yu Fei to his house in City B, he had not been able to see Yu Fei since he was busy with the company.

"Not because of this." Gu Yi's face darkened when he heard Yu Fei's words, but his tone of voice to Yu Fei still softened. "Aren't you in City B?" How did he return to Ke Family?

Yu Fei didn't explain to him in detail, but insisted that he come to Ke Family. Seeing that she insisted, Gu Yi agreed.

Gu Yi arrived very quickly. Yu Fei greeted Uncle Zhang in advance and soon let him in.

This was the first time Gu Yi had come to Ke's Manor. Looking at the size of the manor, even someone like him who had a big reputation in the world had to admit Ke Chen's financial resources. Gu Yi stopped in front of the bed. He tilted his head and seemed to be thinking about something. The next second, he sat by the bed and drew closer to Yu Fei.

Although it was Gu Yi who Yu Fei called over, she didn't expect the other person to be like this. She was frightened and pretended to be silent.

"Don't you ask why I came looking for you?" Yu Fei spoke lightly without any obvious expression.

Gu Yi frowned slightly. He felt that the woman in front of him seemed to be different from the last time he saw her, but he couldn't say exactly where she was.

The man stroked the fringe of his forehead back to his ear with his right hand. His dark brown eyes stared straight at Yu Fei. He was still as gentle as usual, but his eyes always revealed a little bit of sharpness.

Being stared at by this kind of gaze, Yu Fei turned her head uncomfortably, trying to avoid Gu Yi's gaze. She felt that the man's eyes were like sticky tentacles, ready to pounce on her.

The hand under the blanket quietly clenched her fists. The piercing pain from her fingernails made her calm down a lot. Her eyes returned to Gu Yi's gaze, and her lips wriggled twice before she spoke with difficulty, "My child is gone. I need you to help me."

Gu Yi didn't expect that this was the reason why Yu Fei was looking for him. Suddenly, he understood why she returned to Ke Family again. He looked at Yu Fei deeply and was in no hurry to ask her the details.
