Can’t Win Me Back by Ginger Sue -
Chapter 1210
After being insulted by David, Tatiana didn't dare to tell Winston and Jonah about it. She could only swallow her tears and hurry away from the banquet hall alone.
As she made her way through the crowd, a waitress bumped into her.
Shortly after, she felt a prick on her arm, as if she was stung by a bee, but the pain soon vanished. "I'm sorry, miss.” The waitress apologized immediately.
"No ... No worries." Tatiana didn't think too much about it. She turned and walked away briskly. The waitress watched from behind as Tatiana walked away. A sly smile came across her face. Tatiana's soft, black hair blew in the night breeze as she stood on the balcony alone. She stared at the cold, moonlit sky while she wiped her tears dry silently.
If only Sean were around, he would never allow her to be treated unjustly or be bullied.
However, she had already decided to part with the one she loved. From now on, Sean was no longer a part of her life.
If so, shouldn't she have one last phone call with him? Shouldn't they talk it out and end things properly?
Tatiana contemplated over and over. Finally, she switched her phone on with unsteady hands. She did so while trying to withstand the grueling pain in her heart.
Her phone's signal was live again. In a brief second, endless notifications of missed calls and text messages flooded in.
Sean hadn't given up contacting her. Every second of every minute was filled with his words and affection.
Tatiana lifted her fist and placed it on her tight chest. It felt like her heart had shattered into pieces. She bit down on her pink lips so hard that they bled. Her tears couldn't stop running.
"Sean ... I don't want to part with you ..."
Suddenly, the vision from her tear-filled eyes turned pitch black. Her delicate body shook, and she felt like she was free-falling.
"Are you alright, Ms. Tatiana?"
The voice sounded anxious. Tatiana's mind was a blur, and there was a ringing in her ear.
In the next moment, she realized that someone was holding her tightly in their arms
She could even feel a misbehaving hand caressing her shoulder inappropriately.
"Who are you? Don't touch me!"
Tatiana's body was shivering. She wanted to put up a fight, but she couldn't muster up the energy to do so. She became so anxious that tears filled her eyes.
"Don't be so nervous. Just relax,” the man sneered.
He began kissing her on her face—the face that he had been thirsty for. "I will treat you with love,” he said.
Jonah was mingling among the rich and powerful as the president of KS Group.
While he was still talking with some guests, a bodyguard, who was meant to be following Tatiana, came over and called Jonah aside.
"Il ... 1 have bad news, Mr. Jonah. Ms. Tatiana is nowhere to be seen!"
Jonah felt his chest tighten. His charming face turned glum in an instant.
"How can that be? The security here is so tight, and you have all been following her all the way. How could she disappear?”
"She was still in our field of vision at first. Ms. Tatiana was sitting there and chatting with Mr. David Schmidt..."
David?
For some odd reason, Jonah had an uncomfortable feeling in his gut. His eyebrow started twitching. In his fright, the bodyguard was speaking incoherently. He wiped his sweat and said, "But ... But when a group of people walked past the dance floor, Ms. Tatiana just suddenly disappeared! Mr. David was gone too!"
"You useless bunch!" Jonah reprimanded. His eyes widened, and he looked furious.
The bodyguard was terrified. He went weak at the knees. "Mr. Jonah! We will search for her now! If we can't find her..."
The vein on Jonah's forehead was popping. In a raspy voice, he said, "Search for her in secret. Keep this from Winston for now. I don't want him to worry.
"If you can't find Tatiana before the party ends, you'd all better prepare for your end!"
The Taylor family's bodyguards dispersed and began their blanket search within the entire place. Jonah had no mood for any other social meetings. He, too, was on the ground searching for her. Although Tatiana wasn't his blood sister, as the eldest brother, he was like a father figure. He loved and protected his younger siblings. He would never just sit back and watch.
He didn't dare to inform Alyssa either. Based on her temper, she would turn the Jesseltons' place upside down and cause quite a scene.
Tatiana, she must be safe!
