Captivated by the Ruler of the Underworld -
Chapter 11 Unbuttoning Him
Dr. Watson felt that his luck this year was truly terrible. He had already been dragged out of bed twice tonight.
He felt like crying.
When had he ever been in such a sorry state before?
"Michael, I'm not talking about you, but you should be more refined. Otherwise, you won't be able to find a wife," Dr. Watson said with his mouth, but his heart was aching with hatred. Waving a small circle with his hand, the doctor cursed the younger man.
[*Can't find a wife*** *Can't find a wife***
*Can't find a wife.**]*
Michael couldn't be bothered and pulled him to the door of the boss' bedroom. After knocking and receiving permission from inside, she pushed the doctor in.
Dr. Watson staggered and almost fell. In his heart, he cursed Michael 's ancestors for generations.
He straightened himself up and saw the striking girl lying on the bed. His heart trembled, and he blurted out, "Lady Phoenix...."
Dr. Watson immediately realized something was wrong and covered his mouth, quickly shutting up.
That was close, so close!
He almost blurted out her identity! But why would Lady Phoenix come to Sylvester Gomez? Thinking of the letter he had received from Lady Phoenix earlier, Dr. Watson suddenly felt relieved. Regardless of what Lady Phoenix wanted to do, he would follow her instructions.
Suddenly, he felt a murderous intent reaching towards him, and his instinct for survival made him glance in that direction.
Their eyes met, and Dr. Watson shivered.
"...Mr. Gomez."
"Lady?" Sylvester clearly caught the word coming from Dr. Watson's mouth.
Dr. Watson's forehead beaded with sweat, and he lifted his gaze to meet the girl's eyes, immediately calming himself down. "I mean let's hurry up."
Gomez stared at Dr. Watson and noticed that his expression remained calm, causing his guard to relax.
Dr. Watson discreetly patted his chest, thinking to himself, [ Oh my! This Mr. Gomez is truly terrifying.]
"Give her a complete physical examination," Sylvester ordered. Balthazar's Auction House had provided a health certificate, but he didn't fully trust it.
Dr. Watson nodded and immediately got to work.
Using the equipment from the adjacent room, they drew blood from the girl and conducted various scans.
Dr. Watson stood before Sylvester, holding the examination results. "Master Sylvester, this girl is perfectly healthy. You can see for yourself."
He handed over the results in a proper manner.
Indeed, all her data and indicators were within the normal range, free from contagious diseases and genetic disorders. She was a healthy young girl. Not bad.
"Age?" Dr. Watson looked at the data in his hand. "This girl has just reached adulthood. According to the bone maturity test, she's approximately eighteen years old."
As Dr. Watson spoke, Sylvester's gaze landed on the Mutant Handbook in his grip.
The age mentioned by Dr. Watson was similar to what was written in the Mutant Handbook. She had turned eighteen, just reached adulthood.
In addition to covering the latest health condition and basic information of Mutants, the Mutant Handbook also listed some of their habits.
As Sylvester read the contents, he curled his lips and let out a soft laugh.
Michael and Dr. Watson exchanged perplexed looks. They had no idea how such an important person could find a handbook so amusing.
The girl turned her head, gazing at Sylvester with her beautiful eyes.
When she looked at him, he reached out and pulled her into his arms. Holding her firmly, he gently pinched her soft face, looking down at the two pretty buns on top of her head. His voice sounded as enchanting as a cello, "You like sweet and spicy food, don't you?"
The girl nuzzled into Sylvester's embrace, behaving like an obedient little cat, waiting for her owner's affection.
She remained silent.
Sylvester then remembered, Mutants don't speak. He furrowed his brow.
"Can you speak?" he asked.
The girl leaned against his chest, mischievously toying with his buttons, undoing the first button, then the second, and the third...
Dr. Watson stood by the side, feeling embarrassed. This Lady Phoenix of his...
Michael thought to himself, "...so audacious, so bold, so... adorable."
To be honest, he also wanted to see what his friend's figure looked like. Every time the boss practiced martial arts with him, he could feel the tightness of his muscles, as if he could see the graceful lines... Sylvester timely held her hand, preventing her from undoing all his buttons then flipped to the next page,
"Mutant Handbook Clause 33: The level of maturity determines the effectiveness of a Mutant's abilities.
Maturity is divided into three levels:
Level 1: Mutants can read and speak.
Level 2: Mutants have emotions.
Level 3: Mutants can marry and have children.
Note: This will lead to their maximum effectiveness.
In summary, Mutants should have life experiences similar to ordinary women, with their minds developed like humans."
Sylvester raised an eyebrow. Can Mutant s still be valuable when they get old? Are they like ginseng, where the older it was, the better it became?
He glanced at the girl and smirked. This Mutant Handbook is quite interesting. Was it really written by The Immortal Man?
Doctor Watson looked at the book in Sylvester's hand.
He was somewhat puzzled. How could Master Sylvester be reading such a mysterious book? Shouldn't he be reading financial reports and magazines instead? Mutants?
Are there really Mutants in the world? It's hard to believe. He was curious to see who the author was.
Sylvester tossed the Mutant Handbook aside, casually propping his slender feet forward. He looked at Michael and Doctor Watson, asking, "How does one train a person who has reached maturity to speak? How can we fill her mind with the knowledge she might need?"
Michael stood up straight, confidently replying, "Isn't it simple? If she doesn't have a mind, we provide her an opportunity to fill one. Children's minds are mostly developed through schooling. There are teachers, classmates, and so many people in school. How can their minds not develop?"
"No," Sylvester responded without hesitation.
What a joke! She was his newfound treasure. What if she got bullied at school? He couldn't bear that.
Michael was at a loss for words this time.
In his mind, Doctor Watson rolled his eyes. He didn't want to answer this question. How could any of the Gomez know what was normal?
Suddenly, something unexpected happened. With a fleeting glance, those beautiful and clear eyes were giving him an indescribable warning.
The corner of Doctor Watson's mouth twitched unconsciously as he answered Sylvester, "Master Sylvester, from a medical perspective, Michael 's idea is the best. Schools not only provide knowledge, but also facilitate the formation of interpersonal relationships due to the larger number of people. Moreover, schools are relatively pure compared to society, making them the best for early mental development."
Sylvester pursed his lips and his left hand wrapped around the girl's jaw. His knuckles were prominent as he lifted her chin, forcing her to look at him. "Do you want to go to school?"
The girl tilted her head, smiling at him but not giving a definite answer.
School, well, it should be good to go.
Sylvester felt as if the treasured person in his own hands was about to be sent away. His heart clenched, and he fiercely pinched her cheek, pretending to punish her. "You heartless little thing! You really want to leave me." She really wanted to leave him.
"Fine, if you want to go, then go."
Always acting like a little fool, it's not great.
Sylvester leaned close to the girl, staring at her bright eyes. He couldn't help but sigh in his heart, she was truly eye-catching.
But this little thing seemed to have no name yet, and it wasn't recorded in the Mutant manual.
"What do you want to be called?"
The girl tilted her head slightly, and her soft hand pulled at his collar.
Sylvester was defeated. How could this little thing know what she wanted to be called?
"I'll give you a name. We can combine my surname with something for you, how about that?" Combining... with Gomez?
Michael trembled. This was such a great honor.
You see, to be able to have the surname Gomez was to be put on par with the men who had experienced life and death with him. His heart felt a little sour.
But looking at the astonished expression on this Mutant's face and her unique ability to save people, his sourness suddenly disappeared. The girl raised her eyes and gently nodded.
