The girl felt her sight suddenly rise, but she was so hungry that she didn't care. She held his neck with both hands and didn't move her mouth away from his shoulder. Trenton was tall, six feet eight inches tall, with a military-like posture.

He held her with one hand, raised his eyes, and looked around the cave walls.

Hearing his words, the girl shook her head. "Not enough. I'm very hungry."

Trenton frowned at the sound. The feeling of something wrong arose in his heart again. "Do you live in these mountains all year round?"

The girl's round eyes turned away without answering him.

"Are you drinking blood for food?"

The girl still didn't answer.

She had plenty of food.

Trenton immediately understood that she was still guarded against him.

This kind of guard was developed over the long habits and couldn't be erased by a single good deed.

Trenton gave out a light sigh. It was not the time to talk about this. The thick fog had dissipated, and they had to hurry up. There was nothing in the cave now, so they had to go up to find food and replenish their strength.
