Captivated by the Ruler of the Underworld
Chapter 357 A Strange Feeling

The driver came into view, and Alvin's eyes widened.

He hadn't expected the one who was chasing behind was Lela, his student.

A strange and wonderful feeling suddenly surged in his heart.

His heart was pounding uncontrollably in his chest.

Alvin withdrew his gaze, raised his hand to press his chest, and clenched his teeth.

A subordinate beside him noticed something was wrong and quickly asked, "Arnold, what's wrong?"

Alvin shrugged and looked at the distant darkness. "We're about to be out of the city, right? I remember it's quite rough ahead."

Once on the national highway, the terrain became rugged.

It was easy to get into an accident there.

The subordinate didn't know why Arnold was asking this but still replied, "Yes, Arnold. We're already in the outskirts; we'll be out of the city soon. The road ahead will be even more challenging." And ahead, there were no streetlights.

"Stop the car."

The subordinate thought he had misheard and asked incredulously, "Arnold, what's wrong?"

The subordinate sitting behind looked at Alvin and then asked, "What about this guy, Arnold? How about killing him?"

Upon hearing this, Antolin turned pale, hastily interjecting, "This is illegal. In Pliar country, if you kill me, none of you will survive."

The subordinate beside him kicked him. "Shut up! Do you think you have a say here?"

Alvin's men were all tough guys, many of whom had come out of top prisons.

Antolin kept quiet and felt the urge to pee again.

But he didn't have the nerve.

Alvin thought for a moment, shook his hand, and said, "Keep him alive for now. Stop the car."

The road ahead was rough, and while the military jeep could easily pass, Lela's car might not. He didn't want Lela to get into trouble.

The subordinate didn't know why but still followed orders, stepped on the gas, and then kept a distance from the car behind to avoid a rear-end collision before stopping.

Alvin opened the car door, standing at the edge of the cliff beside the highway, gazing up at the round moon hanging in the night sky.

The others stood in an orderly manner behind Arnold. The rest formed a protective circle.

Behind them, Lela gripped the steering wheel, looking ahead in surprise.

The people in front had stopped.

Lela was about to open the car door but was stopped by Goy. "Lela, you stay here. I'll go."

Lela said, "No need, just follow behind me."

Three minutes later, Lela walked up.

She stopped three feet behind Alvin.

She smelled a faint scent of cigarettes, which smelt like a lotus.

Lela clenched her hands.

Looking at the tall and majestic figure three feet away, Lela tilted her head, thought for a moment, and then asked, "Why did you stop?"

She thought, 'If he were one of Antolin's men, he wouldn't have stopped. But if he's not, then what is his purpose?'

Hearing this voice, Alvin took a deep breath.

"Tell me, what's your relationship with this Antolin? And why are you after him?"

Lela squinted her eyes and asked, "You stopped for this?"

Seeing Alvin's silence, Lela finally spoke. However, he didn't answer Alvin's question, saying, "Antolin committed a crime. He can't get away with the law." Although this didn't directly tell Alvin about her relationship with Antolin, it was clear that they were enemies.

This was both an explanation and a warning.

She was reminding Alvin that Antolin wasn't worth killing with his own hands.

For some reason, Lela felt that the person in front of her gave her a very strange feeling.
