Captivated by the Ruler of the Underworld
Chapter 396 Not Even Dragon Gang

Lela paused, towel in hand, and frowned. "Dragon Gang?"

The captain nodded. "Yeah, that shipment from Radiant Country is raw material for weapons. Dragon Gang is a big deal, even our Illusionist Guild has to respect them. It's no surprise they want this batch." Lela smirked, her legs crossing gracefully. Even in her pink pajamas, he slight blush at the corners of her eyes and the dangerous aura she exuded made her look like a queen. Lela rarely showed this side unless she felt threatened.

"Respect them?" Lela smirked, her eyes icy. "What the Illusionist Guild wants, no one can take.

"Not even Dragon Gang.

"Get other teams ready and head to Flame Sands Valley to support Karen."

"Yes."

"Before you go, check out the ownership of that helicopter."

"On it."

Lela waved her hand, and the captain disappeared into the night.

Lela finished drying her hair and lay down.

At the mountain road, Captain Mark of the criminal police hadn't identified the sniper when things went south.

The entire area was cordoned off, uniformed officers everywhere.

James looked at the chaos, pale-faced. He hadn't expected the preliminary race to end in fatalities.

Three bodies were removed, while Mark documented the scene with his phone. Hubert and his apprentice investigated the charred remains. Something was off.

Why were there helicopter fragments in the wreckage?

A police officer approached Mark. "This helicopter isn't from Pliar country."

Mark thought, 'A foreign helicopter? What was air traffic control doing?

'Or maybe air traffic control has been compromised.

'If so, what was the plan? A terrorist attack?'

Mark's face darkened, his mind racing.

He put away his phone and turned to James. "You said one car belonged to racer Joseph, and the other to a girl?" James nodded quickly. "Yes."

"But there are no female bodies here. Who's this girl?" Mark pressed.

"No bodies?" James looked shocked, then shook his head, looking grim. "I don't know. She was with Terry, probably a friend." "Where's Terry now?" Mark asked.

James's face fell. "We don't have specific info on Terry."

His info was hidden.

Every time Charley raced, he erased Terry's info from the records to keep him under the radar and away from Sylvester's notice.

Mark was in a bind.

He sighed.

There were two incidents today, but no clues. Writing the report would be a nightmare.

If this was a foreign provocation against Pliar, it was a big problem.

Mark took a deep breath. "James, we need you at the station for a statement." He told his team, "Everyone, overtime today. Wait for the wreckage to cool and bring it back to the station." "Yes."

Members of the Winds of Fury Team hid in the shadows, watching.

"Captain, with Pliar's police here, we can't move."

"Then we wait."

Late at night, on a dormitory balcony, a towering figure stood by the bed, looking down at the person lying there with steady breathing. As he watched, the worry in his heart gradually began to ease.
