Captivation: Want Nothing But You -
Chapter 1426
Those things were his lifeline.
Without them, he would perish on earth.
But no matter how anxious he was, Wallace wouldn’t admit it.
“It’s important that I get them back because I don’t have enough time to make new ones.
So we have to find a way no matter what.”
“Alright,” Rachel said.
Wallace didn’t expect her quick response.
Rachel got up from her seat and looked at the time on the phone.
“When do you need them back?”
“You know of other ways to retrieve them?” Wallace was still surprised.
“I can try.”
She could try?
Wallace pressed his lips into a thin line and looked at her sternly.
“I don’t want you to try.
I want you to get them back for me.”
“Then hire someone else.” Rachel smiled.
“After all, I don’t need to do this.
I don’t want to put so much pressure on myself.”
Then she turned around to leave.
Wallace hurriedly picked up the laptop and stopped her.
“Wait, wait!
Four hours.
I can give you four hours.”
“Eighteen hours,” Rachel negotiated.
Wallace’s eyes widened.
Eighteen hours meant she would be finished at eight o’clock the following day.
It was the deadline Odin gave him.
And there was no guarantee that Rachel would succeed at retrieving them by then.
“No.”
Rachel smirked.
“Okay, then.
I hope we can have a chance to work with each other next time.”
Holding the laptop in his arms, Wallace hesitated.
But when Rachel turned around again, he gritted his teeth and said, “Okay, eighteen hours.
I expect you to be finished by eight in the morning tomorrow, and you have to promise me that you will retrieve all of them.” His eyes suddenly turned cold, and his voice hostile.
