The signal in the elevator was usually unstable.

Carrie kept shaking her phone to find some reception and reply to the chat window the whole time the elevator was coming down.

But it was not until she walked out that the signal returned.

“Why is the signal in the elevator so poor?” she mumbled and tapped on her phone.

When she checked the messages in the chat window, she saw the conversation of her colleagues.

When Rachel showed up and told her earlier that she came to see Odin, the smile on Carrie’s face stiffened.

No one in the department knew what kind of person Odin was.

After taking over the company days ago, he had almost fired all the staff in the department.

Unlike Victor, who was cold and indifferent, Odin always wore a smile on his face.

He was gentle and kind, which was why it came as a shock when he suddenly fired so many people.

The remaining employees were now walking on eggshells around him, afraid they might offend him and get into trouble that would cost them their jobs.

When she heard Rachel’s words, Carrie got curious and asked, “I’m sorry, but may I know why you want to see Mr.

Sullivan? He might be a little busy now, so if it isn’t urgent—”

“I know he’s in a meeting,” Rachel interrupted her.

Carrie blinked twice and said, “Well, if you know he’s in a meeting, then-“

“You only need to relay my message to him,” Rachel interrupted her again.

Carrie stiffened.
