Captivation: Want Nothing But You -
Chapter 1492
At this time, Quintin walked up to the cradle and stood beside it.
Seeing Joey in it, he bent down and poked his finger at the baby’s sleeping face.
After a month and a half of being born, the baby had grown a lot.
His Little face was pinkish, and he was sleeping soundly with his eyes closed.
As if he was dreaming, he would wave his little hands from time to time.
He looked so adorable that even Quintin’s heart was melted.
“Alas…” Taking a glance at Rachel, who was silently sitting on the chair, Quintin sighed.
“Oh, poor baby.”
He was talking to Joey, but he was speaking loud enough so that
Rachel could hear.
He was also looking at her out of the corner of his eye to see if her expression would change.
“You have to take powdered milk even though you’re just over a month old.
On the way here, I saw the little baby in the next room being fed by his own mommy.” Then, Quintin signed again on purpose.
“Poor baby! The baby in the next ward was born three days later, but he’s even fatter than you.”
Quintin was quite worried.
“Look at your arms and legs.
Aren’t you too skinny?”
It seemed that Rachel thought that Quintin was being too noisy.
She finally reacted, let out a frown, and said, “Quintin.”
“Yes, boss!” Quintin smiled innocently.
“What can I do for you?”
Rachel looked at him and then turned her eyes to Joey’s face.
She seemed to be thinking, and after a few moments, she slowly opened her mouth.
“Get out.”
Hearing these two words, Quintin was rendered speechless.
“But, I’ve just arrived.” He knew that Rachel wanted him out because he was being too noisy.
However, he just wanted to cheer Rachel up, even for a little bit.
This time, Rachel looked away and didn’t say anything.
But she also didn’t drive Quintin out.
Seeing this, Quintin stopped nagging and sat by the cradle.
Then, he started playing with Joey’s soft Little hands.
Once more, the balcony was filled with complete silence.
The spring wind blew along the branches, and the green leaves rustled gently.
Staring carefully at Joey, Quintin noticed a red string tied around his ankle, with a small wooden pendant hung on it.
At a glance, he recognized this wooden pendant.
