Captivation: Want Nothing But You -
Chapter 1571
He paused, glanced at Rachel, and forced a smile.
“You saved my life.”
“I didn’t do such a thing, so stop following me,” Rachel instructed in a cold tone.
“You did.
You scared them away,” Bryan stated seriously.
He stuffed the key into his pocket and grinned.
He hoped he did not look silly while doing so.
“You don’t live here, right? “I haven’t seen you around here before.
Are you looking for someone? Is that luxury car yours? It must be yours.
I can tell from your clothes that you’re not an ordinary person.
Who are you looking for? I’m familiar with this place.
I can show you..” Bryan stopped babbling and hissed in pain.
There were wounds at the corners of his mouth, and it hurt when he talked continuously.
The Maple District was not by any means small.
It was intended to be developed into a tourist destination, after all.
Even though the address written on the email was very detailed, Rachel was starting to get dizzy from how confusing the roads were.
After hearing Bryan’s suggestion, she thought for a while.
“I’m going to No.
5 Resettlement Community,” she said at last.
Bryan’s eyes lit up, and he exclaimed, “Wow! We’re destined to meet.
I know that place! I live there! Let me take you there!”
Rachel did not respond.
She simply stepped aside and signaled for
Bryan to take the lead.
Bryan walked forward before turning his head to look at Rachel.
“That place is located in another alley, so we have to leave this alley first.
It’ll take at least fifteen minutes to get there.
But I know a shortcut.
I know how to get there in just ten minutes.
Just follow me!”
Bryan led Rachel on a narrower path, where they had to walk sideways in order to advance forward.
“It’s a little narrow here, so we need to move slowly and carefully.”
Rachel remained silent.
She did not know someone could be this talkative.
He did not even shut up, even though it was obvious that she had no intention of talking to him.
Worse, the more he talked, the more enthusiastic he got.
After they passed the narrow path, the area became slightly more spacious.
Bryan pointed somewhere and said, “Follow that alley.
You just need to walk one hundred more meters, and then you’ll find No.
5 Resettlement Community.
Not a lot of people are at home at this time, though.”
Bryan then asked, “Why did you come here? Who are you looking for?”
“An acquaintance.”
Rachel felt like it would be rude to ignore Bryan’s question, so she gave him a curt response.
“An acquaintance? Why would you have an acquaintance here? Ah, I got it.
You want to find the one who worked for you and you want that person back, right? In that case, why don’t you tell me what kind of person you’re looking for? Are you looking for a man or a woman?
