Katherine paused and zoomed in the photo.

It was Marshall drinking the wine. It looked like they didn't go outside and were drinking in the Grants mansion.

Peter clearly had taken this shot secretly since it had only Marshall's side face.

But Katherine can see that Marshall was a bit downcast.

Katherine didn't know why Peter would send her this photo since he must be upset for what was unfolding on the Internet and had nothing to do with her.

Was Peter really stupid enough as to assume that Marshall was depressed because their divorce?

What a foolish idea? They'd divorced long ago and he sure wasn't distraught or anything.

Katherine didn't want to talk with Peter anymore to upset her.

She went out and tossed the phone on the sofa. Out of sight, out of mind.

Then she joined the dining table again.

Kyle laughed, "What's wrong? Is Marshall in a dark place? Is it because of you."

Katherine suddenly broke into laughter, "Forget it. I've divorced with him a million years ago. If we really want to get to the bottom of this, isn't Clara the root cause? Don't try to get me involved. I won't take it."

Kyle thought for a while and nodded approvingly, "You got it right, actually. Clara must be joyful now that she had forced Marshall to announce your divorce. It's worthwhile even that she is trolled by the netizens."

Katherine got a mouthful of dishes and waved her hand, "Let's leave it. How annoying. Let's continue this hearty meal."

Hector also added, "This accident would sure blow over soon. Now that the gossip is updating constantly. No one would remember this forever. It's okay."

Katherine nodded, "Right."

They then all drank the bottom up and started talking about something else.

He mentioned that there was a talent show about singing recently and Rosalie was thinking about investing in it. She presumed that this show would be the next trendy thing. Kathrine giggled and looked at Hector.

On the spur of the moment, she said, "Hector could give it a try. He's really a good singer."

Kyle also had drunk a lot and instantly got excited, "Right, Hector should definitely try that. I'll ask my sister to pull strings for you."

Hector smiled, "I think I have to pass on this one. I am really getting hectic about the company stuff."

Katherine actually thought it was a good idea and said, "You should really give it a try. You don't like your current job anyway. If you can really achieve something in singing, you can just quit this job. You don't want the Bennetts asset anyway. You have your own choice."

Kyle suddenly stood up, "I will tell my sister the first thing tomorrow and just sign you up once this program is certain."

Hector chuckled and looked at Kyle, "Just sit down and enjoy the meal for now. Don't be so excited."

Katherine stared at Hector, "I actually think this could the best for you. Don't worry about other things. you don't do anything wrong. You got nothing to do with the Bennetts stuff. If someone really trashes you because of your true identity, we would just drag all the Bennetts down then. I'm sure they would help you."

That Kevin sure would help him to deal with the bastard troll.

Katherine then added, "Don't be afraid. Or we can just ask Kyle to hire some robots. They can solve anything."

Kyle chortled, "True, true."

Katherine really had a great meal and the news online really hadn't affected her that much.

But Marshall was completely different.

He called Peter to the mansion and opened two bottles of wine.

Peter really didn't feel like drinking, but seeing Marshall this downcast, he really didn't have a choice.

Marshall had never been so upset before.

Peter drank a few and just couldn't continue anymore.

Sipping the wine, he looked at Marshall who was silent all the way and drinking all the time.

Peter let out of a sigh and wondered if Marshall just wanted someone to accompany him.

He then looked at his phone and found that Katherine had stopped texting back.

How disturbed yet cruel was she.

Was she really enjoying the hotpot right now?

Well, a normal person would sure feel sad or anything.

How come that she was totally fine.

When it was all dark outside, Old Mrs. Grant came downstairs.

She was actually pretty sad to see Marshall this way.

Held by a maid, she sat on her spot and looked at Marshall, "Marshall, don't feel too upset about the news on the Internet. It would all be sorted out."

Marshall actually gulped down the booze quite hastily and he was a bit overwhelmed right now.

His eyes were all red.

Old Mrs. Grant breathed a sigh, "We hid the news before because we don't want to make it too bad, but still, it's terrible at this point. We should've released it before." There surly were other ways to deal with the WF Group accident.

But it was just that no one had foreseen this coming.

Thinking about this, Old Mrs. Grant instantly got angry and was mad that Frances was that stupid.

If it weren't for her, things wouldn't be out of control now.

She knew that Frances had went back to her parents' home and was actually glad. She just didn't want to see her right now.

How can she be so stupid at her age now? Did she really think herself as a princess?

Over the years, she hadn't helped Khalid's work a bit and was constantly putting on airs. She surly was in no place to despise anyone.

Marshall drank the last cup of wine and put away the bottle.

Leaning against the chair, he let out a breath of alcohol.

Old Mrs. Grant sighed, "Marshall, you are sad of letting Katherine go, right?"

Marshall was staring at the ceiling with eyes open, but after hearing Old Mrs. Grant's words, he slowly closed his eyes, "No. of course not."

Old Mrs. Grant would believe his words. Marshall had dealt with way bigger troubles before, but wasn't like this.

In a while, Marshall asked, “Grandma, why would you give Katherine the jade pendant that grandpa sent you."

Old Mrs. Grant paused a bit and smiled, "Your grandpa loves that kid and would sure be willing to give that jade to her. Well, it's just a jade."

Old Mrs. Grant said lightly and seemed like she really didn't care about it.

Marshall then slowly turned to Old Mrs. Grant, "It seems like you are sweeter to her."

"Well, she is quite hard really. You don't know this, but your mom was lousy to her when she was at home."

Marshall instantly got weary when Old Mrs. Grant mentioned Mrs. Grant.

Peter also let out of a sigh, "I actually feel like Katherine is really an energetic person. She was really depressed here."

Old Mrs. Grant nodded, "Right, you see, she is quite bubbly now."

She had changed into a completely different person now.

Old Mrs. Grant actually didn't like obedient girls like Clara. This mansion was already too quiet.

She was old now and looking back to her life, she really deemed that she had led a pretty mundane life.

She actually was fond of brisk people now.

Old Mrs. Grant then landed her eyes on Marshall again, "I think that you are really getting along with Katherine well these days. The way you are looking at her is really different now." Marshall froze, "Really?"
