CEO's Tears Over Pregnancy Test Discovery -
Chapter 1575
Jamie was clearly displeased with Ben's attitude.
"You're doubting my sister?" she snapped.
"That's not what I meant," Ben said, rubbing his temples as he realized how poorly he had expressed himself.
But Jamie wasn't in the mood to listen.
"Ben. No, I should call you by your real name, Jack Green. Do you even understand how much she sacrificed for you? How could you doubt her?"
"Jamie, I told you that's not what I meant-"
Jamie cut him off. The joy she had felt just moments ago now felt like someone had dumped cold water over her.
She had come to him, ready to share her excitement, hoping he would help her bring Winnie back.
But Ben's reaction left her utterly disappointed.
The slight thaw in Jamie's attitude over the past few days visibly froze over again. "It's my fault for thinking you'd understand how I feel. I should've known better. Men really can't be relied on."
Ben finally snapped. He grabbed her shoulders, forcing her to face him. "You think I don't understand you? Jamie, what more do you want from me? I love you, not Winnie! And you can't ignore how suspicious her actions are. "Have you even thought about how she managed to fake her death?"
"I don't want to hear any of that!" Jamie yelled, her anger flaring to the point where her breathing grew rapid, her breaths loud and uneven.
Ben's expression shifted instantly.
"I'm sorry," he said softly, his voice gentler now. "I shouldn't have said that. Calm down. Did you forget to take your medication? I'll have someone bring it in."
As he turned to call for help, Jamie steadied herself with a few deep breaths and said coldly, "That won't be necessary. Since you don't want her to come back, I'll find her myself. Thank you for your hospitality during this time." With that, Jamie turned and went upstairs, immediately starting to pack her belongings.
She had been considering leaving for a while now, but Ben had subtly kept her there, and she had been held back by other factors.
Now, she was finally resolute.
She should have left long ago.
Ben watched as she packed, his chest tightening with frustration. He wanted to stop her but couldn't bring himself to say the words. And so, he stood there silently, watching as she walked out.

When Nina came by to visit, she was surprised not to find Jamie there.
"Where's Jamie? Didn't you say was staying with you for a while?"
Nina asked, holding Ge

as she glanced around the house in confusion.
Ben's response was stiff. "She left. Just now."
Nina studied his expression, noting how sour his mood was. "Did you two have another fight?"
"Is there something you need? If not, you can leave. There's nothing to see here," Ben said curtly.
"Don't be like that. I came all this way to help you. Let me give you some advice," Nina said, trying to lighten the mood.
But Ben's irritation was evident. Nina quickly realized she had hit a nerve and tried to backtrack. Unfortunately, when Ben was upset, there was little anyone could do to fix it, except for Jamie.
After exchanging just a few words, Ben's frosty demeanor drove Nina out.
Though "drove out" wasn't quite accurate. Ben wasn't the type to
outright ask someone tonto
Instead, his cold aura was enough to make most people retreat.
Nina sighed and took Gemma's hand as they left.
Pinching Gemma's soft, chubby cheeks, she muttered, "Bad timing. We didn't get to see Aunt Jamie, just that ice block of a man."
Nash, who had also borne the brunt of Ben's mood, nodded. "Let's come back another time. I'm heading back to office. What about you?"

"I'll head home too," Nina said.
""Need a ride?"
Nina politely declined. She rarely had time to go out with Gemma and wanted to take the opportunity to stroll around.
But during their walk, she unexpectedly ran into someone familiar.
