Just as Jamie began mentally preparing an argument to convince him, he surprised her by agreeing. "Don't dig too deep. Find out what you can, and if you can't, just bring him back."

The authoritative tone left Jamie momentarily speechless. She glanced at him, noting how quickly he had stepped into his new role since leaving his legal career behind.

Jamie and the assistant headed out to investigate. Surprisingly, things progressed smoothly. At the cash pick-up point, they caught Daniel red-handed.

Noah swaggered in, his expression laced with a faint, mocking smile. "Sorry I'm late. I assume there's still a seat for me?"

He glanced at an empty chair.

The staff exchanged nervous glances but said nothing.

Ben's gaze turned icy, watching as Noah strolled in and casually took the seat as though it were his rightful place.

"Continue," Ben commanded, rapping his knuckles on the table. His deep, authoritative voice silenced the room instantly.
