Nash's eyes fixed on Nina.

Feeling uneasy under his intense gaze, Nina asked, "Are you done swimming? If so, can I leave now?"

Nash's eyes darkened further. "Are you lying to me?"

Nina's heart tightened, as if bound by an invisible string. She met his gaze and said, "No."

Nash's brows furrowed slightly, and he slowly released her. "You've lied to me once. I won't allow you to lie to me again."

Nina remained silent. Given their current situation, whether she lied or not seemed irrelevant. Sometimes, lying was a way to protect herself.

Nash did not press her further but instead let her go to the changing room to put on a fresh set of clothes. He had prepared everything in advance. Inside the changing room, a female secretary handed her a comfortable, loose-fitting tracksuit. "Miss Walker, Mr. York asked me to bring this for you." Nina's clothes were soaked through, and her hair was half-wet. She planned to towel it dry. "Alright, you can leave now."

The secretary suggested, "Would you like to take a shower? It might be more comfortable."

Nina replied, "No, thanks. I'll just use the hairdryer."

"Okay, I'll get it for you," the secretary said before exiting.

Nina sat on the bench, drying her hair. Just as she was about to change into the tracksuit, the door opened. Assuming it was the secretary with the hairdryer, she said, "Just leave it there. I'll change first." She stood up to change out of her wet clothes, but then she heard the sound of the hairdryer.

Her hair was gently lifted, and warm air spread through her strands. The slightly rough touch of the fingertips made Nina feel something was off. She turned around and saw Nash standing beside her, holding a hair dryer and intently drying her hair.

She froze for a moment.

Nash's fingers brushed through her hair. "Is this temperature okay?"

Nina snapped out of it. Under the changing room's spotlight, Nash's flawless skin and sharp features were more pronounced. His hair was still damp, and he wore matching tracksuit. He lacked his usual stern demeanor and instead exuded a surprising tenderness.

As she looked into his eyes, she thought she saw deep affection.

What was she thinking? Men were the best actors!

She averted her gaze. "I'll do it myself."

She reached for the hairdryer, but Nash lifted his hand out of her reach. "Go change your clothes first."

Nina glanced at the matching tracksuit, feeling hesitant. Nash's voice turned cold, "If you don't change now, you'll catch a cold. Don't make me force you."

His authoritative manner left no room for argument, implying he would undress her if she did not comply. Reluctantly, Nina took the tracksuit and went to change.

While Nina was in the changing room, Nash received a phone call. He stepped out, putting the phone to his ear. "Start investigating that man named Zac. Check the military records."

"Again? This time you're checking the military?"

Nash's voice was firm. "Start there. Nina might be lying, but we can't overlook any possibility. We must find this man."

"Nash, what are you worried about?"

Nash was silent for a moment, his grip tightening, brows furrowed. "What do you think? I'm worried she's being deceived." "She's an adult. How could she be deceived? Maybe it's mutual affection."
