CEO's Tears Over Pregnancy Test Discovery -
Chapter 612
"Am I being sarcastic? I'm just stating the facts," Nina replied to Miranda. "A scratch is nothing to him."
Miranda insisted, "Even if it's just a scratch, I still worry."
She reached for the first aid kit, intending to treat his wound.
Nash pulled his hand back. "No need," he said coldly, clenching his fist. "It's a small wound, it'll be fine in a couple of days."
"No," Miranda said firmly. "It needs to be treated. Listen to me, I'm afraid it might get infected."
Nina continued, "Let her take a look. She worries because she cares. Otherwise, she might not sleep well tonight."
Nash's expression darkened even more. He was visibly uncomfortable.
Seeing no reason to stay, Nina decided it was best to leave them be.
Angel loved gossip and complaining. She found Miranda's behavior so annoying that it gave her goosebumps. Because of this, Angel had complained to Nina many times about how pretentious Miranda was.
Nina had interacted with Miranda many times before and knew that Miranda's act of being delicate and weak often won her sympathy and attention. And now, Miranda was back with Nash again.
Nina went to the restroom, splashed her face with water, and then came out.
She tried to open the door to leave but found it blocked from the outside. Before she could react, someone slipped in and closed the door again.
Seeing Nash standing there, she was shocked. "What are you doing? This is the ladies' room!"
Nash locked the door. Despite feeling anxious, Nina calmed down when she saw the intense look in his eyes.
After a long silence, Nash finally spoke, "Did you go to my place?"
Nina lowered her gaze, "So what if I did?"
Nash frowned. "Did I say anything to you that night?"
There was a lot said that night, but nothing worth dwelling on.
After thinking for a moment, Nina replied, "You were drunk. Nothing a drunk person says is reliable.
"If there's nothing else, I'll go." She tried to move past him.
But Nash grabbed her hand.
Without turning around, Nina said coldly, "You're engaged now. If someone sees this, it won't be good for you or your fiancée. I hope you won't behave like this anymore. When you meet someone you truly like, treat them well." She pulled her hand away forcefully.
Nash turned his head to look at her, gripping her hand tightly. All the things he wanted to say remained unsaid.
He could only look at her, again and again, trying to remember her as she was now. She was living her life well, and he had to endure and suppress his feelings.
Nina struggled to free her hand from his grip. Eventually, she managed to pull away, opened the door, and walked out.
Though they were only separated by a door, the moment they lost sight of each other, their expressions became deeply grim.
Nina did not rush off. She paused, feeling a deep emptiness as if she had lost something at that moment. Her heart ached, and she felt tormented.
Taking a deep breath, Nina looked up, trying to find strength.
Back on set, Scott was about to leave.
Nina went to see him off.
Scott stopped and looked back at her. "I'm going abroad."
It was so sudden that Nina could not react. "On a business trip?"
"No," Scott said, gazing at her intently. "It might be dangerous. I don't know what will happen, but I have to go."
"Why take such risks? Isn't there a safer way to make money?" Nina did not understand.
