The guards were more vigilant in the following days. I also noticed Damon's frequent departures from the palace to join the search for Jules' scent trail left in the Agama Forest.

Every time I see him tired, I can't help but feel sad and worry about him. He's been working too much. We hardly slept together anymore because he always entered our room late. I'm so worried about him. Even though he always told me that he was fine. But I know he's not. He will never be. Moreover, he knew that someone might be betraying him and until now Jules can move freely. I want to help him, but I don't know how. I do not know how.

I bit my lower lip as I stared at the book I'm reading. As usual, I'm here in the library to read and study even though Britney has stopped visiting the palace. I'm the only one here in the library today because I told Anna to get snacks from the kitchen. I feel safe being alone here because I know there are two guards outside the library.

If only I could do something to help Damon. If only I had the ability to recognize who betrayed Damon. I put down the book I was reading on the table and looked at the high shelves in the library and suddenly the book I saw before came to my mind.

That book was written by Alpha Devon and there is a faint suspicion that there is a torn page in that book. I know it's not unusual for a book to be torn because it's natural for a book, to tear and get old...but that book was strange. The book is old, but you will know that every paper used is durable. It can't just be torn because of its old age.

Unless it was purposely torn off by someone!

I quickly stood up and walked towards the shelves where I saw engraved letters and numbers.

"DTS8910," I read. I stared at it carefully. If only I knew what it meant. If only I knew, who did it. Why are there so many questions that are difficult to answer?

I turned to the library door when I saw someone coming in. I quickly returned to my table and saw Anna carrying the tray of snacks I ordered.

"Come eat with me, Anna," I invited her.

"I'm fine, Luna. I just ate earlier," Anna said. I nodded and let her go. I turned my eyes back to what I was reading but noticed Anna's agitation for some unknown reason. "Anna?" I called her. She quickly looked at me. Her smile returned but I knew she was just forcing it.

"Yes, Luna?" she asked politely.

"What's the problem? You seem off," I commented to her. She took a deep breath and looked away. She knew she couldn't lie because I had noticed her earlier.

"I-It's about Stone..." she lowered her gaze. I can see the worry on her face. I was suddenly nervous. Stone and Damon are always together. Did something bad happen? "What happened to him?" I quickly asked.

"He has not spoken to me for two days. What he always says is that he is busy with Alpha..." he said. I was relieved. I thought it was something.

"Don't worry...he's fine. Damon was often gone to look for Jules. But I know they'll surely find him," I assured her. But the concern on her face did not diminish.

"I know but...I asked Delta Robin... he's been with Alpha Damon the whole time and he told me that Stone was absent two days already. Although, he assured me that maybe Alpha Damon ordered Stone to do something secretly..." Anna said worriedly.

I patted her shoulder. Delta Robin is right. Maybe Damon just ordered something from Stone. Damon often ordered Stone because she was his right-hand man. Anna needn't worry anymore.

"Don't worry, okay? I will ask Damon later about Stone," I assured her. Anna nodded and smiled at me.

When night came, I went straight to the dining room to eat. I saw Damon, but I noticed that Stone was not with him.

I sat on Damon's right side as we prepared our meals for tonight. I turned to Damon who was now staring at me. He's like waiting for something. I raised an eyebrow at him.

"What?" I asked, confused by his stares.

"You forgot to greet your husband," he said with furrowed brows and thin lines on his lips. I couldn't stop smiling at what he said. Even though we are in this situation, he still doesn't really forget to flirt. That's why I stood up to kiss him on the cheek just to get what he wanted.

"Hello, my Alpha king," I greeted him with a very wide smile. I immediately returned to my seat after finishing preparing our meals. I looked back at Damon. I saw that he was eating seriously. I just shook my head.

Damon and I ate in silence. When it was over, I told Anna to rest. Wearing a white bathrobe and hair damp I saw Damon sitting comfortably on our couch, he also just finished taking a shower earlier. He's still not dressed in his night clothes.

"It's a miracle that you're here early," I commented to him because we were going to sleep together again. I approached the vanity table to take my body lotion from there.
