EZRA'S

P.O.V

I heard a scream and my eyes immediately shot over to where Tegan was standing. Her head was cocked to the side as she examined the big man child pointing his finger at her accusingly. I made my way over to where my mate was, the Parks a few steps ahead.

"She did it dad, she did it." He said as his finger waved dramatically in the air.

I knew Tegan could handle herself but it wasn't in my blood to sit back and just watch. A smile crept up on her face when they both were standing directly in front of her.

"I did what, Aiden?" She asked.

"IT'S ALPHA." He raged causing a bigger scene.

"Correct me if I'm wrong Alpha Parks but Aiden is your second born. Correct?" Tegan asked, her eyes now on the older version of Aiden. "Yes he is."

"Right, which means he is not a true Alpha. Maybe by blood, but he is not entitled to the name Alpha unless he was granted the title. Correct?"

"That is correct." The older man said softly.

"So, Mr.Parks as I said before, with your fathers confirmation. You are not an Alpha." She said plainly.

"I will be of Silverline."

"I'm sorry and who made that decision, you?" She asked with an amused smile.

"I didn't get the appropriate interview."

"You were given an interview just as all the other potential Alpha's were. You chose to disrespect me and I chose to go with my judgment and deem you unworthy of ruling a pack. An Alpha with no care for others is no Alpha at all, he is a Tyrant. I refuse to allow such an abomination to rule within my Kingdom."

"See father the bitch disrespects our name!" He screamed out making my wolf surface.

I swiftly step around, making myself known as my hand wraps around his throat lifting him in the air. My eyes switch between King and myself. His body wiggled around as he gasped for air.

"You do not come to my Kingdom, disrespect my mate, your Queen, with your vile and disrespectful words."

"He did not mean it, Alpha King." The head of his household begged with his head bowed.

"He meant it, and he disrespected my Queen on more than one occasion this week. I let the first one slide but this one will not. Disrespecting his Queen also means he is disrespecting his King. Tell me, what is it we do to those who disrespect the throne Mr.Parks?" I asked, not addressing him as Alpha, showing who held the real power here.

"Please, Alpha King, I will take him home now. I will punish him and he will apologize to his Queen." The old man begged.

I slowly released my hold on Aiden's neck, allowing him to take a big gasp in.

"Aiden, apologize." His father demanded.

"No woman shall make a man's decision." Aiden chose to say instead.

"AIDEN! YOU CANNOT DISRESPECT THE THRONE THAT WAY, I RAISED YOU BETTER!" His father screamed again.

"I will be the Alpha of Silverline. Any Alpha picked over me, I will kill with no mercy. Do you hear me? NO MERCY. Which means you have to pick me, the rightful Alpha or they ALL DIE!" Aiden screamed, as if he had any authority.

I cut my eyes over to his father, his eyes bulged for a moment before a sadness filled them.

"You disappoint me, Aiden. You were not raised to be like this."

"NO! I WAS RAISED TO BE IN THE SHADOWS OF YOUR PRECIOUS FIRSTBORN, A WEAK ALPHA. I DESERVE THE TITLE! I promise you this father, after I kill my so-called competition and take over Silverline, I'll kill him next. More slowly than the others, so I can watch his life slowly fade from this reality. Then I will have both packs."

His fathers face looked horrified from his son's words. He looked to me then back to him. My hand was still around Aiden's neck, but loosened enough so he could breathe and talk. His father released a breath before nodding his head at me, turning and walking

away.

"I'LL KILL HIM, I SWEAR IT! MARK MY WORDS!" Aiden screamed at his retreating father.

The ball had become eerily quiet as all members watched the scene. Some of them looked mortified while others amused.

"Carry on." I said to the ball attendees as I escorted Aiden out.

I wouldn't kill him here. Although a public death wasn't uncalled for. I just didn't want such a disaster to occur at Tegan's first ball. It would be a night to remember by all, but not in the best of light.

Once we were out of the ballroom and away from prying eyes I turned him around to face me.

"AIDEN PARKS OF PARKVIEW PACK, I HEREBY SENTENCE YOU TO DIE FOR THE ACTIONS YOU ADMITTED TO IN FRONT OF MANY WITNESSES TONIGHT." I said with my Alpha King voice.

His hands morphed into paws as he tried swiping them at me to get loose, only he was too slow. I quickly grabbed one of his arms, twisting it around making his bones snap before doing the same to the other.

"Do you have any last words, Mr.Parks?" I asked next.

"You'll pay for this, all of you! He is coming, and you will all pay!" He screamed, making me stop in my tracks.

"What did you say?" I asked.

"You will pay for this. He will make you pay. He promised me if I retrieved the stupid daughter of Kirk any wish would be mine!" He screamed again.

My head went back to my dream of Lydia.

"Who?" I asked.

"Doesn't matter, his promise was invalid, which means we are all going to die." He said, more defeated this time.

"Aiden, who did you give Lydia to?"

"The Dark Lord was what he called himself, I think. He is a powerful man, no doubt. He would have found her himself. But he knew that I wanted power badly. He had to have known this would happen. Why not kill two birds with one stone." He said as his shoulders slumped.

"When is the Demon Lord coming, Aiden?"

"Demon Lord! That was it. Damn, how'd you know?"

"AIDEN, WHEN IS HE COMING!"

"After the last leaf falls." He said with a shrug.

It is winter now, which means he is referring to the season Autumn. Autumn has come and gone. So, if he was right then we have until around either September or November of next year before he comes.

"Do you know anything else?"

"No, he told me to tell the throne that he will come to take the boy when the last leaf falls and if I get him what he wants then I can go ahead and take over the position I want, earning what I deserve. He twisted his words, making me think he will give me power to rule, not earn death by my actions. So, does this exchange of information spare my life?"

"No. But thanks." I replied as I snapped his neck.
