Chapter 52

Third Person’s POV

“So, you have planned to go to the city to shop?”, Zayden asked, to which Allison nodded her head, showing her brother her puppy eyes. “Fine then, you guys can leave tomorrow morning and return back by 7 PM.”

“Yayyy…I”,

“I am not finished yet.”, Zayden said, interrupting Allison in between. “There will be four guards with you. And I don’t want you to do anything which will invite any trouble to you or Grace.”, He said in a serious tone which clearly meant that she had to listen to him or her plan would be canceled.

“I promise I will take care of myself, bro. But please don’t send the guards with us.”, She pleaded, knowing how terrible it was to shop with guards standing right behind you. No matter wanted to kick the guards off her, she couldn’t. Zayden was very much strict about her security; especially from her other elder brother, Wyatt.

“You can’t take care of yours and Grace at the same time, Allison.”, He said, giving her the idea of Grace being human and weak. He didn’t want to mention it clearly so that Grace wouldn’t feel bad about it.

“Even I can take care of mine.”, Grace said politely, not to look rude between both brother and sister in their conversation. Zayden looked at her and smiled.

“I know, sweetheart. But that won’t stop me from worrying about you.”

“But still bro, don’t send the guards with us. Will you like the guards to see what their Luna shop? It can be those things as well!”, Allison used Grace as the coin to change her brother’s mind.

Zayden started feeling possessive when he heard it. But Grace immediately stepped in.

“No, it’s fine. I am not going to shop. I have everything for now.”

Allison gave her a ‘are you crazy’ look. But Grace didn’t understand her signal.

“Seriously, Grace? When lifes gives you lemon, you should make lemonade.”, Allison indirectly tried to signal Grace.

“Lemonade?”, Grace asked, not getting her point of view.

Allison sighed. “Nothing. Just leave it.”, She muttered.

“Oh okay”, Grace said and turned her face toward Zayden. “I don’t want to buy anything Zayden. We will shop for Ally. Moreover, I don’t have my debit card with me. It’s with dad.”, She explained.

Zayden narrowed his eyes at her, for not asking for money from him. She was still not comfortable with him and his things, he thought. Well, if that is so that he was going to change that. He took out his wallet and gave her his credit card.

“Here. Shop with this.”, He ordered.

“But it’s yo…”

“What’s mine is yours.”, He interrupted her in between, not letting her complete her sentence.

Allison quickly took Zayden’s credit card from his hand. “And mine too.”, She chirped like a baby.

“Zayden, it’s fine. I really don’t need anything.”, Grace tried to convince him.

“I am not requesting, sweetheart.”, There came his strict order, leaving no room for arguments.

‘Oh My! He is really back!’,

She nodded her head and smiled, not trying to make him angrier.

“And I want you to spend at least $10000 tomorrow.”, He added.

“WHAT?”, Grace immediately gasped.

“Bro, it’s too little. What comes under ten?”, Allison whined.

“Everything.”, Grace answered her question instead. “I don’t want to spend the money unnecessarily, Zayden. I will shop according to the requirements, I promise.”, She said.

“$10K is final, sweetheart or else I won’t let you sleep at night. That’s my promise.”, He joked, but she took it seriously. Well, why wouldn’t? He was a man of his words.

Next Day

“Like brother, like sister.”, Grace said under her breath.

They were currently in the mall, shopping almost the whole wardrobe. Well, Allison bought and Grace helped her. Allison forced her to buy something but she delayed it giving the excuse that the clothes were too expensive to buy. She almost had a heart attack to see the cost of one nightdress worth $500.

This was her first time in the city but still, she didn’t find anything that amazing for which she would like to leave her small little town, which was close to the forest.

“Grace, It’s my birthday party today and you have to join me there.”, Allison said.

“But why?”

“Because you won’t then I won’t be going there as well. And I really want to attend his birthday. So, please, please, please!!”, Grace opened her mouth to say NO but Allison held both her hands in hers. “Please, please, please!”

“Okay! Fine. Where is the party? And does Zayden know?”

“Yes, I have informed him and the party is in the club.”, Allison lied.

“Club?”, Grace asked, raising her eyebrow. She had never been to the club but had heard about it and knowing the person Zayden was, it was hard for her to believe Allison that Zayden actually agreed.

“Why are you asking so many questions, Grace? Don’t you trust me?”

“I…I do.”

As Allison had said, indeed there was a birthday party of one of her friends. By observing them, Grace could say that he was really close to her. Allison had smartly fooled the four guards in such a way that she could spend her time with Grace and her friends alone without them being around like a censor.

Grace smiled looking at Allison who was pulling her friend’s cheeks. She looked so happy and alive.

‘I wish to see Zayden to be in this happy someday.’, She thought and started thinking about her life. Coming from a conservative family, she was allowed to hang out with male friends, and doing so meant ‘the girl has gone out of parent’s control or she is characterless.’ She was glad that Allison got an amazing brother who would never judge her on these things.

“I want shots tonight.”, Allison said, making her face as cute as possible.

Her friend named, Michael snapped at me and shook his head at her statement. “No, you can’t handle drinks. You will get a soft drink, just like Luna will. Moreover, I don’t want Alpha to kill me.”

Grace smiled, realizing her friends were really good.

“Please…please, please, please Mikey.”, Allison requested in her own way.

“No, Ally.”, Grace sternly denied on which she pouted. Grace was about to say more that’s when she felt the vibration of her phone. She took out her phone from her purse and read the name displayed on her phone.

‘My sweetheart’

She knew that she had to take his call, right then but she also knew that she wouldn’t be able to hear him if she received this call in the middle of this loud noise.

“I will be back in a minute.”, She said, before leaving from there.

The call got disconnected after a full ring. Grace was about to back him back, that’s when her mobile started ringing again. She finally swiped the screen of the mobile and placed her phone near her ears.

“Hello”

“Where are you, Grace?”

Grace was not a stupid who couldn’t understand the mood of Zayden, especially when he mentioned her name instead of calling her sweetheart. For god knows what reason, but she didn’t like it.
