Chapter 6

Third Person’s POV

Grace’s eyes widened in fear when she saw that her father was talking about the man who was in hand and had held both the twins mercilessly like an object. Not to mention, he was talking about that man who was staring at her intently. She knew that the whole police force was behind him but couldn’t trace a single proof that could land him in jail and realizing the fact that she just talked with him was making her paranoid.

Grace looked around and found that the whole society was witnessing everything but none of them was coming out to help John’s family. Though she was afraid of Zayden Staunton, that didn’t mean she wouldn’t step out of her home to help John and his family.

“Have you gone mad? Or have decided to die today?”, Her mother snapped at her when she realized what her daughter was going to do.

“Mom, they are in trouble. Can’t you see that?”

“Really Grace? They are bloody criminals. If you will involve yourself in their business and soon we will find ourselves in trouble. And I won’t allow you to go there.”

“But mom, we can’t let that happen!”, Grace cried. “I don’t think that man is dangerous?”, She said or more like asked because she was not very sure of it. She was never interested in reading or listening to the news of the Mafia world, but some stories about him did pass through her ears. And those stories weren’t something that you would like to tell a child while sleeping.

“A man who killed his own father and wanted to take revenge from his brother is definitely very dangerous.”, Her father replied instead of her mother. “I won’t let you do stupid things just because you want to help John’s family. Zayden is a heartless monster and will not even spare you thinking of you as a woman. So, stay away from him as much as possible.”, He said more like ordered.

Grace knew how dangerous he was and she would be stupid if she had an encounter with him again. That’s why she nodded her head like an obedient child on her father’s orders but that didn’t mean she wouldn’t help John and his family. She left from there saying that she had to change her clothes and when she saw that no one was around. She took out her mobile and started shooting the video.

“…do you think that I would forgive you just because you have a family now?”, Zayden asked and slapped John. “I am sorry to say but your family has to bear the consequence of your deeds.”

“Please, sir…please leave him.”, John’s wife pleaded but Zayden handed the twins in her hand carelessly and took out his gun from his back pocket, and placed it on John’s heart. John realized that the gun had a silver bullet in it while a lot of people gasped in shock and surprise, not to mention fear as well.

“Zayden..please forgive…”, John stopped speaking when Zayden emptied all the bullets in John’s heart right away without wasting a single second. Grace gasped witnessing a murder in front of her eyes while John’s wife collapsed on the ground when she saw her love of life and her world just crushed under the feet of the heartless monster named, Zayden Staunton.

“I don’t forgive anyone.”, Zayden said, looking at the dead body of John. “Not even to those who address me with my name.”, He hit the dead body of John and continued. “And you were not of that level by my name.”, Saying this he started living from there and Eric was just behind him.

Eric didn’t Zayden to kill John but then this was nothing new that Zayden did. He had been like this for a long time. He was aware of the fact once Zayden had decided something and he could go beyond any extent to get what he wanted that included even killing someone. Nothing could stop him from achieving what he wanted. His thought wandered toward that kind woman with whom they had just met. They believed that she didn’t live in the same society otherwise Zayden wouldn’t have killed John, at least not at his place. He would have killed John far away from here.

Thinking about that woman named Grace, Eric could not help but feel happy for Zayden. He believed that Grace would surely change Zayden with her kindness and her love. He had an idea that never a woman like Grace would agree to be with a man like Zayden, so he was determined to do anything to bring both of them together. He thought all the things because of which Grace would fall in love with Zayden just like Zayden did.

At first, he had to find out all the details of Grace as it was the task that Zayden had given to him. He chuckled at the thought of what if Grace knew who Zayden was? She would surely run away from Zayden faster than the light.

But then, he would not let that happen. He won’t let Zayden live alone without family, again. Zayden was not like this from the beginning. Everyone made him like this either by hurting him or betraying him and John was among them. John and Zayden used to be great friends, until the moment Zayden became more successful and powerful than John. John used his sister to hurt him and flew away with Zayden’s money, leaving his sister pregnant.

He had passed through a lot of things in his life, and not being able to get the only girl who caught his attention would definitely break him. Eric’s heart crunched about thinking Zayden’s getting hurt.

‘No, I will not let that happen. I will do anything to make him happy. And now that Zayden’s happiness resided in his chosen woman.’, He thought.

Grace was crying a lot after witnessing everything. She had never witnessed something like that in her life and she was sure that she wouldn’t be able to sleep for nights because of this incident. She was cursing herself for taking them to John’s house. She was too fragile to witness a murder. She closed her eyes but quickly opened her eyes when she recalled how the b***d was flowing through John’s heart like a tap being opened. Here she was crying in pain while John’s wife was sitting near her husband dead both like a statue.

Grace wished if she could have really done something rather than shooting the video but she was just a weak woman. When no other men came out for help then what could she have done?

Little did Grace know that she had the power of stopping this, just by her mere presence. But she did nothing except make a short film on everything which just happened.

She didn’t waste another second and uploaded the video on the internet with the hope that Zayden would soon get arrested because this video would surely help the police as proof against him.
