Zayden’s POV

“I need to take my Grace out of the grave, Eric.”, I tried to explain to him calmly and his eyes widened for a second.

“Why?”

“I have no time, Eric. Her soul is trapped in her body and I have to bring her back as soon as possible.”, I said in a hurry hoping that he would let me go near Grace’s grave. “Please, I will explain later but now, there’s no time for us to talk, PLEASE!!”, I requested him, going out of my nature.

‘I am afraid for the first time, what if we are late.’

SHIT!

“ERIC, LET ME SEE HER!”, I snapped and demanded firmly before taking another step closer to the grave where all other werewolves against me started growling at me. I knew they saw me as a threat but right now, my mind demanded to see my sweetheart, so I would embrace the consequence of my stupid action.

“We should leave, Eric.”, I heard Jane speaking. She looked scared and shocked.

‘What did she see?’

“Jane, are you out of your mind?”, Peter and Eric both rescinded quickly but she gave them a serious look.

“Fine. I am leaving but don’t blame me later for not warning you.”, She said and started to leave. “Also, Peter, don’t forget that your mate is human.”, She added.

‘Something was not right.’, Dominic said and I pushed Eric and walked toward Grace’s grave. I threw one of the wolves by hitting him with my hand, who jumped on me. I knew the fight between both sides of the wolves had already begun but I gave a damned about it.

I started digging the grave with my own hand furiously. The time was running out of my hand and Jane’s last expression was not that good. I would have asked her personally about it but then as I had said I didn’t have time.

I finally found my mate laying lifeless, covered with the soil. I quickly pulled it out and grabbed her cold body.

‘I am not able to hear her heart. She’s dead…’

No…No…No…No!!!

“Grace?”, I whispered and kissed her forehead before cupping her face. “I…Zayden Staunton, the Alpha of Blue Moon Pack with all my power as a son of Moon Goddess and the witch b***d in my veins, claims Grace Felton as my chosen mate and my Luna. With this, I mark her as mine, so we will become one forever as the Alpha and Luna to rule the pack.”

Saying this I marked her at her neck.

This was my last chance.

Please, Grace, please accept me.

A few minutes passed but there’s no response.

‘She’s gone, we’re too late…’

“No”, I shook my head and held her body. “Grace, I am here, please.”

Was I too late?

This was it?

‘But how? Her soul should have been trapped in her body.’, I muttered and with the help of the witch’s power, I started figuring out what went wrong in the whole process. And his eyes widened when he saw that the dagger had trapped the soul of the baby instead of Grace’s soul.

‘How the hell is that possible? Unless….’, Dominic couldn’t control his anger when he came to know that it was the soul of their pup who was trapped. And there was no way he could bring him to life because he/she had no body, yet.

He didn’t have Grace’s soul but he had her body.

He had his pup’s soul but not his/her body.

“HOOOOWWWWLLLLLLLLLLLL……..MOTHER”, I didn’t realize when Dominic took control of my body. Out of nowhere, a bright light appeared in front of us, bright enough to make anyone shut his eyes for a while but it didn’t affect us.

“There is no need to get angry, Dom. You already knew about the curse.”, Moon Goddess explained, knowing why his son had called her.

“The curse was that my mate will be killed. And Grace was not my mate, not at the time when I stabbed her with the dagger.”

“But I meant for Grace’s death in all her life while giving you the curse.”, I could feel the hesitation in Moon Goddess’s voice. It means she knew she made a mistake this time.

“You played faul, Mother. You knew that it would have been our pup who would have died, not Grace.”

“I learnt that from you, my son. You changed Grace’s destiny just before the time when she was going to die.”

Dominic started laughing out of his anger. The anger which only one person had the power to calm down. “I wish I would have killed you along with your mate in the previous life, Mother.”, He said and grinned evilly. “But it is still not late, yet.”, He said and tried to attack the Moon Goddess but she disappeared before he could even touch her.

“HOOOOWWWWLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL”, He roared in pain and frustration. “I, Prince Dominic, Son of the Moon Goddess, offering my soul to the King of Hell, Lucifer in the exchange of enormous power, power to kill even the God, Goddess, Angels and all other creatures.”, Saying this he cut my wrist. “Accept my b***d as my loyalty toward you.”

‘Dominic, what did you do? That demon will make you, no, not just you but us, a cruel monster.’

‘What did our Grace get by becoming a good person?’, He asked in return. “If I have to live without her in all my life then I won’t let anyone live peacefully.’

Though I did not totally agree with him but that’s true, what did Grace receive by being such a good person? And Why would I sit silently and cry on fate rather than taking revenge from all the people who were the reason because of which Grace was not with me!
