"I can't believe that after today, we would finally be done with the competition." Quincy Chimed excitedly as Amery helped him organise his stuff for the last step of the art competition. He had finally finished his canvas during the past week and was supposed to submit it today to hear the final results of the contest. Today makes it exactly one week since Madeline left and since she, Quincy and Levi had that moment together in Asher's bedroom. She had been too embarrassed to face either one of them after what had happened but Quincy had stopped her from blaming herself because of it. He even told her that it wasn't her fault and that her wolf was only trying to bond with them since they were her mate and she took him for his word.

No matter how much she thought about it, the fact still remains that she had slept with both brothers. A freaking threesome. Maybe it was time to put a label to her wildness because for some reason, they were flying off the charts. Who knows? She might even get a medal for it as well.

In as much as she wanted to wallow in her grave sin, somehow she also felt bad that they had almost fought because of her and to make it worse, she felt bad that she was hiding her fake relationship from Quincy. That night in Asher's bedroom, he had confronted Levi about it but somehow, he had managed to manoeuvre the situation by telling him a lie and slowly, that lie was beginning to eat at her. Maybe Levi was right. She was the misfortune in their lives. She was the reason why Asher disappeared and now, she had successfully managed to cause a rift between both brothers.

She and Levi were still were still very much invested in their fake relationship but they were both careful enough to hide it from everyone else especially Quincy who was getting ready for his competition. She would have to come clean about their situation and she only hoped that Quincy wouldn't think much of it and understand her reason for doing so.

"You put in a lot of work to do this yourself Quincy and I'm very proud of you too." Amery smiled at him with warmth. She looked at him like a proud parent gushing over her child who had just accomplished a great feat.

"Well, this wouldn't have been possible without you so anyway, I still have a lot of things to thank you for. Thank you for coming up with this idea and thank you for pushing me to do it because knowing me, I would not have taken a single step if you hadn't forced your way through to get to me and even if I initially agreed to do it from the very beginning, I would have given up if it weren't for you." He whispered gratefully. His eyes danced in delight at his new found happiness. Amery felt her chest tighten at his words. To think that she has been hiding things from him even when he had been so open to her. She just wished that any of this doesn't ruin their friendship.

"I'm glad that I could help." She chirped. "Why don't you get dressed while I finish up with these stuff? You can join me out here when you're done so we can leave." She suggested and he nodded in agreement. Folding his sleeves up his arms, he stood up to full length.

"You sure that you can handle everything here by yourself?"

She chuckled. "Of course. I've been handling everything about your competition for the longest of time so this should be easy. Go on and get dressed. I'm waiting for you."

"Okay." He dashed into the house while she focused her attention on putting his things together. Levi walked in at the exact moment. She felt his presence and quickly turned to look at him.

"Where are you going to?" He questioned as though he didn't already have a clue.

"I told you already that today is the last day of Quincy's competition and we are headed there any moment from now. I'm helping him pack his things for the journey ahead." She answered with a huge grin on her face.

"But it's Quincy's event. Why do you have to go when it has nothing to do with you?"

Amery suspended what she was doing and stood up to face him. "I have been the one helping Quincy ever since the competition started. I was also the one who helped him apply so if there's anyone who needs to be there for him then it's me and besides it's only for a few hours we would come back as soon as it's over."

He crouched down next to her. "Do you really have to go? I mean you can just come up with an excuse or something so that you stay. Can't you do that?"

"No I can't. It won't be fair to Quincy and besides, I don't want to lie. It's already bad enough that I have to keep this whole fake relationship thing a secret from him. I don't want all our relationship to be built up on a stupid lie." She deadpanned. "So I'm expected to be alone in this house for more than two hours until you both get back from the competition?"

"You're used to being alone Levi so a few hours alone wouldn't hurt for a person like you" She taunted, giving him a pitiful look.

"Fine." He breathed out. "I'll stay but you'll have to give me something in return so that I can manage with your absence even when you're gone."

"And what would that be?" Amery zipped up the bag and placed it gently on one of the couches.

"Are you done here? And how much time is left before you both leave for the competition?" He inquired. Amery picked up her phone and glanced at the screen.

"We have two hours left before we leave." She confirmed and stuffed her phone right back into her pockets.

"Well that gives us enough time."

"Enough time to do what?" She asked with furrowed brows. To answer her question, he grabbed her by the wrist and dragged her towards his bedroom. Inside, he shut the door behind them. "What is happening Levi and why am I in your bedroom?"

"You're going to do something for me before you leave and if you don't then I'll just go ahead and let Quincy know that we are both in a kind of twisted relationship with each other."

"Are you threatening me?" She chuckled. "Don't forget that you agreed to keep your mouth shut as long as I don't remove your photo from my lock screen and I haven't gone back on my word." "Well then, I think I need something else." Levi pressed on in an attempt to make her listen to him.

She shook her head. "Not today Levi and don't you dare mention anything to Quincy." She snapped and made for the door. She twisted the doorknob open and is surprised to find Quincy there, staring at her with nothing but a blank expression on his face. Amery swallowed when she thought of the possibility of him eavesdropping on their conversation.

"Y-You're..." He trailed off and drew in a sharp breath. "Did I just hear correctly? You are in a relationship with Levi?"

Amery froze. Her whole body suddenly went numb. The last thing she ever wanted was for Quincy to find out In this manner.

"Quin-"

"For how long?" He asked, interrupting whatever she wanted to say. Amery saw the look of disappointment and despair registered in his eyes. "For how long have you been in a relationship with my brother?"

Quincy didn't want to believe what he had heard earlier. He wanted so badly to believe that it was nothing but a prank and that they were messing with him. He had always thought that he shared some kind of connection with Amery and that this project had somehow brought them closer together again but judging from the look of things, once again he felt like he had been betrayed. His trust, trampled upon. He felt like something irrelevant that should never have existed. The pain that he had always tried to hide inside him slowly started to break his walls and seep through.

"Listen Quincy, I—"

He looked over her shoulders to see his brother staring at them. Quincy felt his blood boil to a hundred degrees. The pain he felt at that moment was immeasurable. They had both lied to him and they had both used him.

"All these while, I thought that you and I had finally found a common ground to walk on. I thought that we had gone past all the lies and betrayal. I trusted you Amery but then you went behind my back with my brother and also lied to my face about it? I asked both of you over and over again but you only kept on lying to me!" He yelled at her furiously.

"Quincy please..." She trailed off. "You have to listen to me. I never meant for things to get on off hand and I promised that I was going to tell you." She pleaded.

"Of course. And once again, I must've been the fool for trusting you both blindly. You're off my case Amery." He blurted out. "Don't you ever try to get close to me otherwise, you would regret it." He threatened and stormed away leaving them standing there, speechless.
