AMERY

"I'm sorry sweetheart, Sean came unannounced and I let him come up here to see you. Hope it's alright to you?" My mom explained when she walked in on two of us standing far apart from each other as though someone had created a rift between us. I couldn't believe that I was seeing him here again after what had happened between us the last time. Sean was the last person that I ever wanted to see, especially now that I was in this state so I wonder why he came through.

Ever since I got back from the hospital, he hadn't even tried to check up on me. I was well aware that he knew I had been discharged but still didn't try to make any effort to. Even the person whom I thought was my best friend avoided me like a plague and to think that I actually considered them the best things that had ever happened to my life at some point. But how wrong was I? The damn betraying bastard!

"It's alright aunt." He apologized so diligently that If I didn't know any better, I would've mistaken him for someone else but no, I wasn't mistaken. He was still the same self absorbed and selfish Sean that I had fallen in love with. The cheating Bastard. The one who ruined my life to the point that I had to pick up the pieces that he had thrown away.

"I heard that Amery was back so I decided to stop by and say hi." He flashed a smile at me and shoved both hands deep into his pockets.

"That's so sweet of you Sean." Mom applauded his efforts. "Amery has been through a lot these past few days and it's nice that you could come and visit. I'll leave you two now." She said and walked out the room, shutting the door behind her.

"So-" He pursed his lips and took a step forward. His eyes wandering around each corner of my bedroom. There was something different and awkward about him that I just couldn't place my finger on. Was the new look? The new clothes or the stupid hairstyle? It doesn't really matter to me though. I just wasn't comfortable having him around me anymore. Each time I looked at him, I'm reminded of the time that he cheated on me with my best friend. The pain from a cheating partner doesn't really go away or does it? Just staring at him had my blood boiling and if I wasn't in control of my wolf, I would've torn him to pieces by now.

"What are you doing here Sean?" I forced myself to ask. Just looking at him made my skin crawl in more ways than one.

"I came to check up on you Amery. Believe it or not, I was hurt when I found out that you went missing. I thought that you running away somehow had something to do with what had happened between us and I'm here to make amends." He explained while I scoffed in disbelief. His words too strange to believe. He must think that I'm the same naive Amery that bended at his will to please him and do whatever he wanted.

"In case you're forgetting Sean, this isn't Natasha's house. You're In my house." I reminded him and he did a little cringe with his shoulders before approaching me.

"I know where I am." He tried to touch me but I yanked his hands away as if it burned me.

"Listen," He began, his eyes fixed on mine. "What happened between Natasha and I was a mistake Amery. It was a moment of weakness and I'm here to apologize and let you know that I'm deeply sorry for everything that has happened between us."

"And where's your w***e? The last time I checked, you both didn't seem sorry about anything." I primped, my voice came back in a certain calmness that surprised me.

"Natasha and I aren't together." He stood in front of me, closing the bridge between us. "Amery, I love you so much and I want us to go back to how things were before all of this happened. I want us to be together again. Give me another chance to prove to you that I'm a better boyfriend now."

He caressed my arm and held onto my hands. "Please Amery, let me show you that I've changed and that I love only you now."

"Get out of my room Sean!" I ordered in a low but firm voice.

He smirked. About a month ago, I would've melted at that smirk and would be willing to do everything for that look on his face but now, it only irritated and pissed me off to the max.

"You don't mean that do you?" He licked his lips seductively. "You don't have to act all angry and all that Amery. Just let it go and let me show you how much I've missed you."

Before I could process what he meant by that statement, he grabbed me by my waist and crashed his lips on mine. I tried to pull away but be held onto my head and angled his face to suckle on my lower lip.

I bit down on his lips hard and snatched my mouth away from his.

"The hell!" He yelled at me and that's when I noticed the blood oozing out from the place that I had bitten. I felt a certain sense of satisfaction as I watched him hiss and cuss out in pain.

"What the f**k is wrong with you Amery!" He made to come after him but I stopped him by connecting my hands on his cheeks. He yelped and took a step backward. My eyes darkened In rage and I felt my wolf close to the surface.

"How can you be so stupid and insensitive?" I queried him. "Do you have any idea what I've been through these past few days? And you have the audacity to kiss me? Are you just a bag of walking d**k or are you suddenly going crazy?" "Don't you dare use that tone or-"

"Or what?" I challenged fiercely. "Would you cheat on me like you did with Natasha? Sorry to burst your bubble Sean but you've already played that card before."

He blinked viciously and I could see the smoke coming out from his eyes while he fumed in anger. "I only came to apologize."

"And by apologize, you mean forcing yourself on me. You're so shameless Sean and I was the one foolish enough to go out with you. You deserve nothing from me and as far as I'm concerned, we're through. This excuse of a relationship is over!" I spat angrily. His jaw dropped in disbelief. "Amery you're not-"

"I'm damn serious Sean." I deadpanned. "I'm done letting myself be a fool for you or anyone else. I'm done having you play with my intelligence and I'm definitely done with you always trying to take advantage of me. Now get out before I kick you out myself!" "A-Amery?" He tried to reach out to me but I grabbed him by the color and led him towards the door, my wolf strength finally resurfacing. He struggled and kicked but couldn't break free from my hold till I led him downstairs.

"Amery?" I heard mom's voice from behind and quickly released my hands from his collar. He held onto his neck while his eyes were fixated on me as though he had just seen a ghost. He couldn't believe that I had dragged him down here singlehandedly. The look on his eyes says it all. "What's going on here?"

"Sean was just leaving, aren't you?" I corked a brow at him and he nodded vehemently as he swallowed hard.

"Y-Yeah...Yes I am... I mean, goodbye Aunt. Have a nice day Amery." And with that, he dashed out of the house as though he was being chased by an invisible force.

Mom looked from the door back to me, obviously confused as to what had happened. I wouldn't tell her anything though. It was time to finally let go of my trashy past and focus on the future ahead of me. I had been through a lot in the hands of the triplets princes and as if it wasn't enough, the stupid ex of mine had wanted to use my weakness to his advantage. I didn't know how to explain the sort of bad luck I had when it came down to the men in my life. It was almost like they were planted to ruin me.

"Are you okay?" She proceeded to ask when I didn't say anything after Sean's departure.

I nodded yes. "I'm fine mom."

"Okay." She turned to leave but I stopped her.

"Mom?" I beckoned to her and she turned to face me.

"What is it dear?" She pressed.

"I want to go back to school. I'm tired of being cooped up in this house." I dropped the bombshell and she looked at me as though I had grown an extra pair of head.
