Claimed By The Rogue Alpha Chapter 67
Andrea stepped onto the porch with a magazine in one hand and her phone in the other. She sat down flipped through the pages for a while and shut it close. She sighed.
Her mind went back to the events that happened ealier. Two nights ago. An insane ruckus had broken out, rendering the entirety of Brookehurt barren. Even worse was the fact that Vintage hadn't been left out in the destruction. Her roommate, Yvonne had come home with all the gist and with photo evidence from her phone to support her claim. Andrea had been to the sorceress's, giving her a piece of her mind. Now, learning about the sad fate of Vintage only made her want to embrace The Master and whisper words of consolation to him. She'd seen the video footage, how fierce his wolf was. It was an instant turn on. She felt guilty for getting the arousal, but how could she stop it? There was no getting that. The same way there wasn't getting around the fact that The Master was a wolf! She'd been clueless all this time. Clueless that he not only swam in affluence, but also dripped of masculinity. The Master was everything she needed in a man. However, she wondered why he kept this aspect of his life secret. After all, this was Brookehurt. Majority of people here were werewolves.
Andrea took her attention back to the magazine. It was one of those Yvonne would get and leave stashed somewhere in the storeroom it. Pictures of various woman flashed before her eyes. They were scantily dressed and well endowed. Previously, Andrea would roll her eyes being totally disgusted with what she was saw. But now was a different story. Although blessed with a curvaceous hip, Andrea felt insecure. She didn't have the kind the media advertised. The kind Yvonne possessed. Andrea's were the size of tangerines. But come to think of it, why the f**k were guys so interested in boobs? Hips were just as sexy, so, why the f**k? It was something Andrea never fully understood and something that left her indignant.
Footsteps shuffled close and Andrea looked up to find a certain dark-haired guy walking up to her. He had on a friendly smile, which only made Andrea uncomfortable. She hoped he wasn't back to make his usual advances. "Andrea. Wow, you're back!"
She threw him a fake smile, but of course the dummy wouldn't tell that it was fake. "I am."
He came to a stop beside the railing. His face still housing that sickening smile. "When did you get back?"
"Last week." She glanced back at the magazine and sure enough, an awkward settled in. She was prepared to speak, but he beat her to it.
"Seems like you're apartment is still intact."
Andrea was about to nod, when for a gruesome reason, she stopped. "Wait. You were affected too?"
"Oh, no." He scoffed, and Andrea sighed. She only realised the implication when Jimmy's eyes lit up. She mentally cursed. The f**k, she had given him a wrong signal! And before she could salvage the situation, Jimmy went on, prattling about how terrified he'd been about the raid and how one of his buddies was almost lynched. Andrea listened painfully while thinking up the perfect way of sending him away. Jimmy could be aggressive. Nah, he was borderline crazy. It only made her wonder what Yvonne had seen in him. Jimmy was soon done with his rambling, and this was a time ti send him off. But rather than do that, Andrea sought to satisfy her curiosity.
"So, uhm...I know I shouldn't prod-"
"No, of course. I don't mind."
"Are you and Yvonne back together? I mean, I should've asked her, but she hardly ever speaks to me these days."
Jimmy looked away from her, a little smile playing on his lips. Andrea wondered why he was smiling. He looked back at her.
"I'm sorry to say, but your friend...She's a bitch. Ain't no way we gonna get back together. Not after what she's done."
Andrea didn't speak further. Although she hadn't heard it from Jimmy or Yvonne, she knew what the reason behind their breakup was. In this part of Brookehurt, news flew like wildfire. It wasn't long before she learnt that Yvonne had cheated on her boyfriend of five years. Jimmy still had his gaze away from her, jaw clenched. She could see the anger in him and she kinda felt sorry. Yes, Jimmy could be an a*****e and a creep, but he still was human. She knew how hurtful the things of the heart could be. She wanted to console him, but couldn't bring herself to do so. Not when he was hot-tempered and could misinterpret her show of concern.
"Anyways, away from that conniving whore. I'd really appreciate it if you don't bring her up again," he said. "So, how's work?"
"Good." Andrea was glad that they got to change the topic smoothly. "Really good."
"What again? Home management?"
Andrea raised her brow as she replied him. "Yup. You say it as though it's made up."
Jimmy chuckled. "No, no. Well, it's just that...I don't know. With you being away for a long while. I mean, the last time you visited was after New Year's day."
"My job requires a lot of time and attention. So..." She shrugged.
Jinny nodded, staring at her affectionately. "Anyway, I came for...could I borrow your vacuum?"
"Vacuum?"
"Yes, mine got broken. If you wouldn't mind."
Andrea bit back the scoff in her. Jimmy literally lived stretches of blocks away from her. And there literally was an electrical/maintenance shop in his neighbourhood. So, why in heavens name did he decide to come here knowing fully well that Yvonne stayed here. Of course it was to see Andrea.
Andrea didn't relay her thoughts. Instead, she still plastered that tight smile and rose. "Alright. Give me a second." She got inside and picked up the item and started making it back outside. By the time she returned, she met a whole new Jimmy. The visibly annoyed Jimmy whose face was squeezed so tight it could be your worst nightmare. He held her phone and was staring at it.
"Hey, what are you doing?" She placed the vacuum beside the wall and walked up to Jimmy, snatching the phone from him
Staring at it, she realised it was The Master's photo he'd had his eyes on.
She turned to look at him, but the frown on disappeared on seeing his utterly shocked state.
"Hey." She snapped her fingers at his face, but he didn't move. Slowly, he lifted his gaze to meet hers.
In a low, strained voice, he said, "The f*****g bastard. You know that guy?"
Andrea gasped. Then frowned. She sent a slap across Jimmy's face which left him speechless. "Watch your tongue. That's my boss you're insulting."
Andrea gasped, immediately realising that she had given out that one piece of information she was not supposed to give. And what was more, Jimmy mirrored her surprised expression.
"Your boss? That fucker is your boss?"
"Jimmy!"
"What?" He shot back, eyes wide open, arms flailing. "What's getting you so f*****g worked up, huh? Is he gonna sack you should you fail to protect his stupid name, or what? Make me understand." "That's my boss for chrissake. And I won't have you insult him."
"His your boss, huh? So why the f**k do you have his photo as your screensaver? Or are you..." He paused, eyes lit up as if he had an epiphany. "You've f****d him."
Andrea stepped back, stupefied and unable to make sense out of the whole thing. Annoyed, she stepped closer to Jimmy and slapped him. Hard, with all her might. Jimmy's head flew the other direction. He didn't move. He just leaned, looking at nothing in particular. "How dare you? What made you think you can stroll your lazy a*s up to my porch and vomit garbage. What, Jimmy? Do I look like Yvonne to you? Do I look like someone who can put up with your excesses?"
Jimmy made no attempt to move. Andrea, on her part, was done playing the cool card. "If by the time I get inside and come out, you aare stilk here, hell, you will be sorry."
And so she turned, with the aim of retrieving her blank gun to scare him off. Just as her fingers curled around the door knob, Jimmy's low, croaky voice rose. "You slapped me. You slapped me not once, but twice."
Andrea turned sharply. "And I'll do that again if you don't get your sorry a*s off my property this minute."
He squinted at her. "That means I was right," he said before producing that cackle that made her skin crawl. "I was right. You f****d him. You f*****g did, you hoe."
Andrea couldn't take it anymore. She charged at him, pushing him off the porch. Jimmy staggered backwards. A mocking glint on his face. "You f****d him the same way Yvonne did. Awesome!"
Andrea paused. What?
"Of course, you're shocked. Why wouldn't you be?" There came his laughter again. Streams of tears began to leave his eyes. Andrea couldn't tell if they were as a result of hurt or glee. The glee of having her gape in disbelief. "Even I couldn't understand the logic because I know Yvonne lived for s*x, and I gave her all the f*****g s*x she needed! I did everything in my power to keep her happy. But what did she do?"
"Get lost, Jimmy."
"Not until I blow open your foolishness because I can see he's made you believe you are special. Ha! Fool."
"Ji-"
"I only wonder if he had the dignity to f**k you somewhere private and not in a rowdy clubhouse. And go ask Yvonne. The cuntsucker couldn't even defend her for the life of him. Idiote."
Andrea lost her breath. She couldn't speak anymore-couldn't move even as Jimmy sent spit flying her.
...and go ask Yvonne. The cuntsucker couldn't even defend her for the life of him
Yvonne had f****d The Master? All the heat in Andrea's body left her. She stood, like a statue, staring at the stray cat across. It was most definitely amused at her gullibility.
