"The name I use is Olivia James"

Logan and Cade said with a tone like I was being ridiculous but I knew better.

"It's ok to say you're a fan, boys, romance books aren't just for the ladies you know"

Carmella teases the boys.

"We're not fans, Carm"

Cade growls at his girlfriend and she chuckles.

"It's probably a good thing you're not a fan, I was gonna do one final book to that series and I was planning on killing off the male lead"

"Cade's right babe, you'll ruin the story if you do"

"What? you mean the story you've never read?"

I ask with a smirk leaving both Logan and Cade in shock.

I say with a smile as I wrap my arm around Logan's neck and kiss his cheek.

Wow, thats insane.

I mean, I knew I was successful and famous obviously because of not only the revenue I get from my books but also because of the multiple awards I've won, as well as being on the New York Times Bestsellers list multiple times but still, its crazy to hear people's opinions of me like this, especially the opinions of people I know.

"Yeah, my mom was drawn to your work after she'd read your first book and now she happily recommends it to anyone who'll listen, its crazy to think its been you all of this time... why did you change your name?"

"Oh, there were multiple reasons for that"

I say as our food is served along with wine and beer for the adults and orange juice for the kids.

"Like what?"

"Well, I wrote my first book while I was pregnant and I had to be as stress-free as possible during my pregnancy, so I created an alter ego using my middle name and my dad's first name so that I could remain anonymous, not to mention, I was scared of my family possibly finding me and forcing me to come back home before I was ready to, So"

I said drifting off in the end because I was feeling uncomfortable talking about my past.

Even though things worked out well for me in the end, I still don't like to remember my early days in London when I was practically alone and frightened for the well-being of my babies.

I looked up at Logan when I felt his hand gently rub circles on my back and I smiled back at him when I saw his handsome smile.

"Well, congratulations Lace, I heard not too long back that your agent Abby is planning a party for you here in New York"

Cade said and I groaned.

"Yeah, she wants to celebrate me making the list again for the fifth year in a row"

"And you don't?"

"No, I'm not a party kind of girl, especially when I'm the main focus of it"

"Because the last party I attended which was centered around me was the night I found out about Dylan and Luca...I think it scarred me for life"

"I hope not, we've gotta plan your grand wedding"

"I'm already married, Carm"

"Yes, I know love but that was just a registry office weddin the wife of New York's number one billionaire needs to have the wedding of the century" Oh god..

"If mummy and daddy are getting married again, does that mean that I get to wear a nice dress and hold some pretty flowers?"

Carmella tells my daughter who smiles all giddily while my sons groan in annoyance.

"Does that mean we have to dress up as penguins as well?

"It's not fair if we do, I mean Teddy gets to look all pretty and we have to look like penguins"

Dayton says and we chuckle.

"Wait, can we go back to what you said earlier? Abby's you agent?"

"I saw him the day you came to my office, he came to visit me with your dad and Justin"

"Your family wasn't happy that GiGi was running a smear campaign against you and they wanted to know what I was gonna do about it, Abby called me while they were there and I agreed to let her take the reins which Liam wasn't happy about because he didn't like the fact that I was allowing a stranger to handle it"

"Carmella's right, babe, before Abby started doing what she does now, she was a lawyer and was a damn good one, in fact, she earned herself the nickname The Don when she was practising"

"Because she was like the Don of a mafia, she was highly respected and very powerful in the field, people also feare her, so much so that when defending lawyers found out they were going up against her, they either told their client: to get a new lawyer or advised them to back down and tak a guilty plea"

Logan asks sounding surprised.

"Yep...so is she still not worthy to handle GiGi, babe?

"There's nothing to forgive, babe, we all have a reason to worry about our spouse's friends even if we know them really well"

"Hey, what's that supposed to mean?"

An offended Cade asks in a high-pitched voice causing all of us to laugh.

For the rest of our dinner, we talked about many things including the holidays, our plans for after the holidays and we also discussed Cade and Carmella's relationship and I was shocked to learn that they've been together for around a year and a half. I was shocked that my bestie never told me she was in a long-term serious relationship but I was even more shocked that she was able to keep it a secret.

Carmella and secrets are like oil and water, they don't last long together, so that's why I was so shocked.

We also talked about Logan's surprise from earlier on which I learned he was planning on giving us on Christmas day but he was too excited to wait, so he gave us it early.

Tonight has been wonderful and it felt lovely to spend time with some people who I love and adore and it was nice to forget about all of the drama for a few hours.

I wish life could always be like this but as you know, life isn't perfect and there's always something or someone lurking in the shadows, if you know what I mean.
