Desert Encounter
Chapter 21

Naomi didn’t know what was happening to her, she felt so confused.

Red with shame, she no longer knew how to behave in the face of this formidable man she had gotten to know.

He spoke to her, smiled, even laughed; he gave him confidence. She had understood that she was the only one with whom he allowed himself a certain deviation and that without wanting to, warmed up the bubble that had formed during the evenings he shared.

She closed her eyes, took a deep breath in and out before opening them again and planting them in the fiery and stormy eyes of the master of the house.

Something had changed, it was clear, obvious and it was precisely what scared him.

– Naomi, are you okay? Asked the sheikh, intrigued by his behavior

– yes I…………… please allow me to step aside. She said, looking up

. She wanted to run away, she refused to let herself be drawn into all this flow of emotion, she had the impression that the distance between them was getting closer day by day.

He was the sheikh, he was the sovereign of an entire kingdom and who was she? person.

Why was she thinking about that now? She shouldn’t even allow herself to just….. just shiver when she heard the hoarse sound of his voice when he said her name out of his mouth so………so… ……

Yes something was wrong and she had to hurry to run away from him because she knew that her age would never be a problem on the contrary.

And like an alarm bell going off in her brain, she headed towards the exit of the room at a run despite the height of her heels.

– Naomi. he called her again.

No, she shouldn’t turn around or stop.

She felt herself being followed, the sound of footsteps behind her telling her that he had followed her.

Emir couldn’t let her escape like that, she was his and it was time for her to know it.

He had given her time, plenty of time for her to get over his death and for her to move on.

He had gradually advanced his pawns like a fine strategist. He had intruded himself into her life, sharing unique moments and now by his escape she had only activated his dominant side.

He wanted her to know, to stop hiding, to stop running, it was so obvious.

Everyone in the palace only talked about them and he had the impression that she saw nothing or that she refused to see.

However, he understood that she was confused, lost.

When he came out just after her, he saw Ibrahim getting ready to follow her to take her home and with a nod of the head, the latter understood that he had to stay.

That the sheikh took care of it in person. He himself had noticed the change in the sheikh during these last months, he was still the same implacable Emir but more enthusiastic about dialogue, more attentive to the slightest gesture especially when Naomi was around, sometimes he even surprised the sheikh to be discreet in his thoughts.

Her king was in love but he didn’t seem to realize it.

Emir managed to catch her before she entered her room and turned her around

– where were you going like that?

– just in my room….. your majesty

– Don’t call me that! Tona he

– how? Your Majesty ? And why this sudden familiarity?

Naomi’s heart was beating wildly, she felt like it was going to come out of her ribcage.

Emir was too close to her, they had never been so close.

His two powerful arms framed him on either side of his head, preventing him from making the slightest movement. He towered over her with all his stature and he liked it.

She could feel his calm, slow breathing, like a wolf ready to pounce on its prey.

But for Emir it looked like a Lion, a lion ready to bite.

– Naomi, I know what you’re trying to do but it’s too late

– I don’t know what you’re talking about

– use informal terms!

– no

Emir moved even closer to her magnificent face and to stop him she placed her two small hands on his firm chest to prevent him from advancing even further.

She felt his powerful muscles contract between her fingers and quickly turned her face away for fear of confronting him.

She juggled her gaze all over her body to avoid looking into his eyes and detect what she feared most about desire, her heart racing wildly.

Naomi was pretty sure he could hear it because it was beating so hard.

– why did you run away?

– I didn’t run away. She defended herself

– are you afraid of me, Naomi?

Stop saying his name

– No! Of course not, why this question?

– look at me

– no

He took her chin between his thumb and index finger and lifted her face towards him and caught her hazel gaze

– you are so beautiful

She didn’t have time to do anything as he captured her lips hungrily.

For the time that he had only been waiting for this, almost 4 months that he had refrained from any relationship, from any rapprochement with any woman.

Initially surprised, Naomi ends up responding to this feverish, dominant and intense k**s.

It was good, so good that she forgot that they were in the middle of the corridor and that any servant or guard could surprise them.

When Emir crossed the barrier of her lips and asked for permission to intensify the kissing, she granted it. With the use of an expert tongue, the k****s became more sensual, languorous, so Emir placed his palm on his cheek to support his face and allow him to carry out this k**s which portended full of unspeakable promises.

When the lowering finally ended after long minutes, Naomi couldn’t help but m**n.

– good night Naomi.

And he left without looking back, leaving the young woman pensive, drunk with what had just happened.

She entered her room and leaned against her door, biting her lower l*p.

He was gifted, good god he was gifted, we had never kissed him like this, with force but delicacy, with a sensuality and authority that….that…..and his tongue good god .

Even Romeo had never made her feel this much pleasure with just one k**s.

At this thought, a tear fell, then a second, and tons more followed. She walked to her bed and lay down in a ball to cry some more.

How could she have done that? How could she have enjoyed kissing so much and compared him to her late companion?

She suddenly felt dirty, ashamed.

Her fiancé had died almost 4 months ago and here she was kissing another man. She didn’t even push him away, on the contrary she loved it.

She hadn’t even been able to attend his funeral, say goodbye to him one last time, all the sheikh had allowed her was to talk with his family to reassure them and Romeo’s family to wish them his condolences and explain the situation in which she found herself without saying that she was hosted by the sheikh himself.

Her heart ached, she cried, she cried so much that she didn’t know when sleep took possession of her.
