Desert Encounter -
Chapter 50
She was gone, Emir had confirmation that her flight had left Rub’al Khali’s lands.
She was now far from him and he couldn’t stand that.
How could she leave after everything they had been through? Was he wrong about these feelings?
To think that he would perhaps never see her magnificent face again, to touch her long, neat hair with its scent of orange blossom, to no longer be able to k**s her sweet, sweet-tasting lips and to tell himself that he couldn’t lose himself in her anymore.
No
He hit the wooden table in his office very hard.
How could she have imagined that by leaving everything would go back to the way it was before, that he would continue his life as a sovereign peacefully.
Didn’t she see that she had changed him? Awakened in addition to the feelings that he thought were fleeing, nonexistent?
Dark days were ahead for Emir al Khali.
《They will be here in a few hours your majesty. Said an advisor.
– Ibrahim, what do you know about their visit?
– the king of ad Dahna would have found his daughter who had been missing for many years
– do you know why?
– no, your majesty, it seems that she presented herself at the door of her father’s palace a few months ago, no one knows where she came from. Of age to marry, and finally to solidify your two kingdoms. King Ahmed would like to introduce his daughter to you, and if you agree the marriage will take place when you wish.
She was gone, Emir had confirmation that her flight had left Rub’al Khali’s lands.
– it’s really not the time. Thank you Ibrahim. Otherwise how is Soraya?
– She is recovering well, your majesty.
– insha’allah. If you need anything…
– I know your majesty.
The advisors and Ibrahim left his office.
Ibrahim had become his new right-hand man since Salif’s death.
It was barely seven in the morning. Emir decided not to go to his room to rest a little.
It had been a few days since Naomi had left, and he had lost sleep. He had to rest to be in good shape when his guests arrived.
– your majesty, your guests are here. Said a guard outside his bedroom door.
Emir g*****d but got up and went to freshen up in his shower.
Once ready and wide awake, he looked at the time on the watch hanging in his room which showed eleven o’clock.
He hadn’t slept this much in ages.
He then wore one of his traditional outfits and headed towards the room where he received his guests.
– please forgive me for this little delay. he began once there.
The young woman wore a veil on her head, her face lowered
– it’s nothing, my dear friend. Said the king, giving him a very manly handshake.
– Queen Fatima.
– oh call me Fatima, I took you queen it’s for the others these amenities not between us see.
– GOOD.
– my darling remove your veil and salute the sheikh. Said Queen Fatima
– well mother.
The young woman removed her veil and raised her face in a shy smile
– your majesty, this is Maïra d’ad Dahna, delighted to meet you.
Emir kept a neutral expression but his heart was crossed by several emotions.
So that was what she had been hiding all this time.
Why want to come forward now
– Emir al Khali. He said simply.
– I’ve heard a lot about you. She said, a little smile on her lips.
