Desert Heat Chapter 24

{Allie’s P.O.V.}

“We want you to turn us into werewolves,” we said in unison. The silence in the dining room was loud if that even made sense. Neither one of them said anything.

“Uh, Sin…”

“Girl, I think we broke them,” she said while waving her hand at Mikey

“Baby?” I said grabbing Dorian’s face. Still no response. “Oh, for f***s sake,” I pulled Dorian into a k**s. It took a second, but he finally registered it and kissed me back. I broke the k**s and looked at him. I turn back to Sin and see she also kissed Mikey.

“Allie, did I hear you correctly?” I smiled and nodded.

“Honey?” Sin said to Mikey. He looked over at Dorian and then back at Sin and smiled.

“I am assuming that you girls want to do this together?” Dorian asked. Sin and I nod.

“Oh! This is wonderful!!!” Eleanor jumps from her seat. “I have to go tell your father! And Mikey’s parents,” she runs out of the dining room.

“When did you girls want to do this?” Mikey asked

“After the announcement tonight if that is okay with everyone?” I said. Everyone nods, except for Brandon. “Brandon?”

“Hm? What?”

“Are you okay with Sin and me turning tonight after the announcement?” I asked

“Does my opinion matter?”

“What? Of course, it does! Brandon, you mean the world to Sin and me, just as much as these knuckleheads do,”

“Really?” Poor Brandon, he was actually questioning this. I got off of Dorian’s lap and went and sat in Brandon’s. His eyes jumped out of his head and Dorian growled. “Shush!” I pointed at Dorian. “Brandon, you are very important to me. Just like Dorian and Mikey, you have been by our side since day one. Hell, you were there before either one of them to be quite honest. You came up to us to check on me at the club,”

“It was my job, as your boss at the time and knowing you were Dorian’s mate,”

“Be that as it may, I didn’t know that at the time. So, coming from a tiny human as you always say, I was more than impressed and very grateful. Sin too,” Sin nods her and smiles at Brandon. “I love Dorian, Sin loves Mikey, and we all love you. So, yes, your f*****g opinion matters,” I said to him kissing him on the cheek. I get off his lap and go to Dorian’s.

“You didn’t have to sit on his lap you know,” Dorian grumbles while sniffing my hair

“He needed to be comforted. How would you feel seeing both of your best friends happily in love, and being the only ranked member without a mate?”

“Hmph,”

“What?”

“You’re already starting to act like a Luna,” he said and pecked me on the lips.

The rest of the day went by fairly quickly, Eleanor refused to let me or Sin help getting things together because the day was supposed to be about us. Mikey’s mom eventually showed up and bossed around the kitchen staff making sure all of the food was in order. It was only going to be the pack members and their families, but that still meant over 400 people were going to show up.

Dorian told me that most of the hunters from the night Devin was killed were pack members, so I would be seeing them again, but fully clothed this time. Some were just contract workers that had a b***d oat with his firm. I honestly could not wait to go there, Sin told me that it was right up my alley when it came to tech, surveillance, and security. Dorian promised that once I turned, he would take me. Although he had humans working there, they were far and few in between, but were humans that knew about supernaturals. He also told me that there were some vampires that worked the night shift, which kind of freaked me out.

Nighttime finally came around. Eleanor and Helena made us get a little dressed up, but nothing too fancy. It had been a while since I was actually able to wear something other than tanks, and shorts. But, since I was still covered in hickeys no thanks to Dorian and that mouth of his, I had to wear something mid sleeved with no cleavage and some nice flared jeans. I was excited to finally put on the baby blue Christian Louboutin wedges Dorian had bought of me way back when. I let my hair down and curled the ends. Sin wore something a little sexier, but still classy. She also let her down but straightened it out.

Dorian, Mikey, and Brandon were downstairs waiting to escort us out to the backyard where the main stage was set up.

“Ladies, you two looks amazing,” Dorian said while taking me and hand pulling me into a hug. “Allie, I think I prefer without heels, you’re too tall for me now,”

“What? You are still a foot taller than me,” he kissed my cheek and took my hand. He led me out back and I was amazed at wonderful the decorations were. There were so many people. Some were in their wolf form and others in human form. I saw Casey in the crowd with baby Allison in her arms. She was standing next to a tri-colored wolf with a white patch over their left eye and her son sitting on top of the wolf. I assumed it was her husband. I smiled and waved at her. She waved back using Allison’s tiny hands. See that made my uterus hurt. It made me want a baby at that moment.

All of us got up on the stage and stood in the same order we did when I came back to the packhouse yesterday. Everyone stood their silent. All of the parents were in the front row, perpendicular to their respective sons. I could see Brandon’s parents, and saw that his pretty looks came from his mom. He was the spitting image of her, just taller and more masculine. His dad was handsome too. I realized then that the parents were standing in a mirror image of us.

“Desert Moon pack! Tonight is a night of celebration and joy. Tonight, we officially announce the Luna and female Gamma of our pack! Of our family! Although they are human, they are both strong, vigilant, and have many great qualities to assist me, and the other ranked members to make our pack strong. Both of these two amazing women have suffered tragedies, turmoil, and tribulations; however, they are here before you now because they persevered and grew strong,” Dorian looked back at me and took both of my hands in his. For some dumb reason, this almost felt like a wedding rather than a simple announcement.

“I, Dorian Anthony Shaw, Alpha of the Desert Moon Pack, hereby officially announce you, Allison Park, as my mate, my partner, my love, and my Luna. Do you swear to rule by my side, respect me, the pack, and the laws that we uphold?”

“I do,” this seriously feels like a wedding. I just said I do like these some kind of wedding vows.

“Do you swear to be just, kind, caring, and fair to all those that turn to you?”

“I do,” just then, Dorian pulled out a golden blade and my eyes bulged out of their sockets.

“What the hell is that for!?” I shouted. The crowd started to laugh.

“Don’t worry, this is just a small cut on your palm,” then, Benjamin came up on stage with Eleanor. “Hold your right-hand baby,” I did was he said. Benjamin cut Dorian’s palm and handed the blade to Eleanor, who put a small cut on my mine. I winced at the pain. Dorian then placed his right palm on mine and b***d mixed together. I felt a tiny spark. He removed his hand from mine and gave me a small towel to hold against my cut.

He then signaled for Mikey and Sin to join him center stage and went over the same dialogue he did with me, but differently since he was addressing Sin and Mikey. Just as Dorian’s parents did for us, Mikey’s parents did for them. Only Sin had to mix her b***d with Mikey’s and Dorian’s.

“Desert Moon Pack! I announce your Luna, Allison Park, and your new Gamma, Cynthia Perez!” the crowd erupted in cheers, howls, and growls. Dorian dipped me and kissed me deeply. After a second of shock, I realized what he did, and I wrapped my arms around his neck and deepened the k**s. The crowd got even louder. Dorian brought me back up and we just smiled at each other. This really did feel like a wedding, except for for the bloody palms. I look over and Mikey and Sin are also tongued deep in each other.

“Everyone eat and drink!” Benjamin announced and the crowd dispersed to the many tables outside and into the dining room.

“Why did that feel more like a wedding than an announcement?” I asked Dorian.

“Do you want a wedding?” I shrugged my shoulders and just watched all the people and wolves mingle. “Was that a marriage proposal?”

“No!” I said slapping his chest.

“So, you don’t want to marry me?” he said while pouting.

“I didn’t say I didn’t want to, but I also never said I was going to,”

“Okay. Well, I will always be ready in case you change your mind,” he said and kissed me cheek. We got off the stage and we around meeting people. Everyone was friendly, and I loved seeing all the children and teenagers roaming around playing. I was a little jealous to see how carefree they were being. It reminded me of the childhood I never got to have. But it also reassured me about what I said earlier that day. If anything happened to me or Dorian, our kids would be loved and protected. Dorian left me alone for a little bit, so I continued to mingle.

“Well, it’s official, you are my boss,” I heard a family country accent

“Hi, Casey,” I smiled as she passed me baby Allison. “Why hello there my little twin,” I said while kissing her chubby cheek. I look up and see the tri-colored wolf. He bowed his head and Casey’s son mimicked. I just couldn’t help but smile.

“Allie, this is my husband. His wolf’s name is Hondo, but his name is Hank,”

“It is a pleasure to meet you both,”

“He says that he would have introduced himself the other night, but he was naked and didn’t want to show that side himself to you,”

“Were you one of the hunters that came to get me?” Hondo nodded his head

“Hondo is one of the team leaders that work for the Alpha, he a skilled tracker,” Casey said with love in her eyes. I wondered if that is what I look like when I talk about Dorian. It was quite cute. Baby Allison reached over for Hondo. I leaned over, and she rubbed her drool covered face into his muzzle. Hondo gently licked her. She giggled.

“Oh my god, that has to be the cutest and sweetest thing I have ever witnessed,” I say excitedly. “It is like she knows that is her daddy,” I added

“Oh yeah! A pup is instantly drawn to their parent’s wolf. Because pups don’t turn until they are 18, we get them used seeing us in wolf form early on,”

“That is amazing, I had no idea,”

“Hank prefers to be in wolf form too. The kids enjoy his coloring, and I do too. His color actually helps him camouflage when hunting and tracking. The only time he is in human form is to shower, have s*x, or change a dirty diaper here and there,” I laughed, and Hondo just huffed. We stood around talking a little more with Casey translating for me. Then, I saw a couple walking up to me. They both looked like supermodels. The woman was easily 5’9 or 5’10, and the man she was with as tall as Dorian.

She was lean and fit and had a sexy body. She had long fire engine red hair, was wearing black skinny jeans, strappy gold heels and a short leave white t-shirt, simple but sexy on her. The man was wearing a dark blue button-down with blue jeans and dressy shoes. He had blonde hair and blue eyes. Damn, both female and male werewolves were drop-dead sexy. I almost felt inferior.

“Luna,” they both said while bowing their heads. I bowed in return.

“Luna, let me introduce myself, my name is Lucas, and this is my mate and my wife, Sam,”

“It is a pleasure to meet you,” I said to them shaking both of their hands

“Luna, we were both present at your rescue the other night, we apologize for not introducing ourselves before,” Sam says

“Please, do not apologize, the circumstances at the time did not allow it. Also, thank you both for risking your lives to assist mine. I am sure my actions caused you both great pain,”

“Oh no, Luna…”

“Please, call me Allie,”

“Allie it is,” Sam said

“Allie, we won’t lie and say we weren’t disappointed, but once the Alpha explained it all, we understood why you all did what you did. We both believe that you are very brave and admire that strength,” Lucas said, and Sam nodded and smiled

“Thank you, I appreciate that coming from two hunters such as yourselves,” they both smiled and bowed. “Are you both team leads as well?” I asked

“Yes, we are,” Sam said. “I run a team of fighters that are trained in hand to hand combat, I hold a blackbelt in Jeet Kune Do, Karate and Tae Kwon Do. All of the men and women on my team hold black belts in some form of martial arts or are trained MMA fighters,” I looked at her in amazement. It is no wonder she that rocking body.

“My team are skilled sharpshooters, we do best in long-distance kills, but we are still trained in hand to hand combat and fighting as wolves,”

“Sharpshooters? As in Snipers?” I asked him. He nodded. I guess it was to be expected with Dorian running a massive security company. I looked at Sam, and I couldn’t help but admire her. She had an impressive resume and was gorgeous.

“Are you two being respectful to your new Luna?” Dorian said while snaking his arms around my waist. I just had to smile. I loved his touch.

“Of course, Alpha,” Lucas said bowing and Sam followed suit.

“Where did you go?”

“I went to get the hospital room ready,” I made an O shape with my mouth and nodded.

“Hospital?” Sam asked

“Yes, I have asked Dorian to turn me,” Sam and Lucas looked at me shocked.

“Luna that is wonderful news! We are already honored to have you in the pack, but if you become one of us, you will be able to communicate with us!” Sam said with a lot of excitement.

“Communicate, as in the mind linking?” I asked

“Yes, as the Luna of our pack, you will able to communicate with everyone,” Lucas said

“Allie, we look forward to seeing your transformation. Will the Gamma be turning as well?”

“Yes, Sin and I will be doing it together, it only felt appropriate,” I replied

“Then we look forward to both of your transformations,” Lucas bowed. With that, they walked away.

“Are you ready for this?” Dorian asked me. I nodded. He took my hand and led me to the pack hospital where Dr. Quinn and a team were getting machines together. Sin and Mikey were already there waiting for us. Dr. Quinn handed me a hospital gown and I changed into it in the bathroom.

When I came out, Dorian help me get on the bed next to Sin’s. The beds were far enough apart to allow all the machines, but still close to where Sin and I could hold each other’s hands.

“Luna, Gamma, are you ready?” Dr. Quinn asked. We nodded and looked at each other to reassure one another. There was no backing out. This was going to happen. Just then Brandon burst into the room.

“Sorry I am late, I had to get my parents off my back about finding a mate of my own,”

“Brandon!” Sin and I shouted. He smiled and sat in one of the guest chairs in the room.

“If everyone is present, let us continue. Luna, I will let you know that your transformation will only take about 12 to 18 hours, while the Gamma’s will take 24 to 36 hours; however, your symptoms will also be twice as bad as your body attempts to fight the venom,”

“I am guessing it’s because Dorian is an Alpha,” I ask. She nods.

“Great, so I have to take longer to bake,” Sin scoffs

“Yeah, but my symptoms will be twice as bad,”

“I have to suffer longer!” Sin snapped back

“Girls!” Dorian boomed. We both giggled and held each other’s hand again.

“Alpha, Gamma, take your places,” Dr. Quinn said double checking all of the monitors.

“I love you, Allie,” Dorian whispers in my ear.

“Sin, you better survive this,” Mikey says to her. She nods. Both our guys k**s us.

“Alpha, Gamma, whenever you are ready,”

“On the count of three Mikey?” Mikey nods.

“One…” Dorian starts

“Two…” Mikey adds to it

“Three!”
