Desert Heat Chapter 40

{Allie’s P.O.V.}

“YOU DID WHAT!?” Sin and Leah shouted at the top of their lungs while we were sitting outside my balcony. The guys were all out at training, so we were enjoying the fresh Autumn sun and waiting to see them come over the hills.

“I proposed to Dorian,” I repeated.

“Hold the phone! You did not!?” Sin exclaimed. “You, Allison Park, proposed to Dorian first!?” I nodded and smiled.

“Wait, where’s the ring?” Leah asked.

“I don’t have one yet. I caught Dorian by surprise. I honestly don’t even know what compelled me to do it, but that moment, after marking each other, the love I felt for him was so unreal. I mean, yeah, we have technically only been together for a few months, but I can’t see my life without him. I want to be with him forever. Forever doesn’t even seem long enough,” I said to them.

“Girl, I honestly cannot believe you. Who would have thought that Allison Park, hater of the male species, would propose to her boyfriend after only three and a half months of being together? And in the f*****g shower of all places,” Sin said. I just laughed.

“Anyways, enough about me! Leah, how was your first time?” Sin and I scooted in to get the details.

“f*****g wonderful! Brandon did all the right things. It didn’t hurt as much as I thought it would. I didn’t even bleed. Brandon is big. Like really f*****g big. I didn’t think it would fit,”

“Spill!” Sin said wanting all of the juicy details. Leah spared none either. She went over their entire night, and when she was done, she so flustered and blushing as red as a beet. Sin and I were going gaga over how romantic Brandon was. Though, we knew that it would be short-lived once they got into the rhythm of things.

“Girl, you know that once you get used to having s*x, lovemaking will turn into straight hardcore f*****g?” Sin asked

“Yeah, I know. I am kind of excited for that to happen too,” Leah said fanning herself. Sin and I laughed at her innocence.

“What about you Sin? I mean, you guys ran into your room so f*****g fast,” Leah asked.

“Uh, well it started great. Mikey and I like it dirty and rough, and it was. It was hot, dirty, and hardcore and I loved every minute of it, but then…” she trailed off and bit her l*p.

“What happened?” I asked her. She stood up and lifted her shirt and pulled down her shorts a little. That’s when we saw the claw marks in her h**s. “What the f**k!?” I was pissed. “Did he hurt you!?” I went full Luna mode.

“No! No! It was an accident. He got so excited f*****g me while I was tied up, he accidentally let Mitch out. Mitch got carried away and dug his claws into me. I got him to stop, but the damage had been done. Mikey immediately took over again and untied me. He was so sorry about it, and he even cried because I got hurt,”

“He cried?” Leah asked

“Yeah, like full-on cried. He was damn near bawling he felt so horrible,”

“I am guessing after things calmed down you got back to it. I mean, you would have had to, seeing that you are marked,” I said to her.

“Yeah, we ended up taking it slow after that. I mean, the hot steamy kind of slow. Mitch even came back out to apologize too. He was hurting just as much as Mikey was,” I felt better knowing that both Mikey and his wolf repented for physically hurting Sin. But f**k, claw marks in her h**s. It was good that they were healing over, but they were still very visible.

“Well, now that we are all mated and marked, that just leaves our first shift, in one week,” I said to them. We all smiled. “So, I will just flat out say it,”

“What?”

“Sin, you are my maid of honor. Leah, you will be my bridesmaid,”

“What about Casey?” Sin asked

“I love Casey, but honestly I’m not that close to her. Plus, she has two young pups. That, and her husband Hank is never in human form for very long,”

“And the triplets?” Leah asked

“Why the f**k would I ask the triplets to be bridesmaids? I like them, and all, but not enough for something of this magnitude. Besides, I already know Dorian is only going to ask Brandon and Mikey to be his best man and groomsman. The problem is that the best man is going to be Brandon,”

“Why is that a problem?” Sin asked. I just looked at her.

“Sin, you are my maid of honor. That means you and Brandon will coming down the aisle together. You and Leah will have to switch mates for the ceremony, whenever we decide to have it,”

“Where do you want to have your bachelorette party?” Sin asked getting excited

“You need to calm down, I’m sure this engagement will last a while,” Sin pouted, and I giggled. “But I was thinking of all us going to the Bahamas or the Caribbean,”

“That would be so much!” they both exclaimed.

“What kind of wedding do you want?” Leah asked

“I don’t know, I never thought about it. I never thought I would ever get married. Dorian has changed a lot about my life and what my future holds. I mean, I never thought I would be a werewolf, fall in love, and be the one that proposed first,”

“So, no details yet?” I shook my head. Just then, I saw the guys come over the hill.

“Oh, look there they are,” I said. We all stood up and watched as they ran in perfect formation.

“So, they run in their wolf form?” Leah asked

“Oh, no. They run 10 miles in human form first, and then three miles in wolf form,”

“Wow, no wonder they are all so fit,” Sin and I nodded in agreement. There was no denying that the men in our pack were fit.

“HI BANDIT!!!” I shouted when I knew he was in range. He let out a howl.

“HI MITCH!! I LOVE YOU NO MATTER WHAT!!” Sin shouted. Obviously reassuring him she was not mad about what happened. Mitched jumped in the air and let his tongue hang out.

“EDDIE!! YOU’RE SEXIEST WOLF OUT THERE!!” Leah said. We just looked at her. Way to insult our guys at the same time. Eddie stood his ground and puffed out his chest all proud. We started to laugh at Eddie. He and Brandon were exactly the same even though they were two different souls.

“Come on, Mercury wants to go see Bandit,” I said getting up.

“Jupiter said the same thing,”

“Venus too,”

“I guess our wolves love their mates as much as we do,” I said. We made our way down into the backyard and saw that everyone was starting to shift back. I ran straight to Bandit and hugged his neck. I loved his soft fur. The warmth that radiated off of him gave me all the warm and fuzzy feelings, no pun intended.

Mitch went to Sin and lowered his head. He was still apologizing for last night.

“Mitch!” I called out to him. He looked up at me. “Be careful with her. She may be strong, but she is still delicate,” I told him. He lowered his head again realizing I knew what happened. “Just make sure it does not happen again, otherwise you will have to answer to me,” he nodded his head and licked Sin. She just gave him the look of murder and he turned his head.

“That’s disgusting,” Leah said as Eddie nudged her. “Hi, you sexy beast. Venus says that she can’t wait for you to… VENUS I AM NOT SAYING THAT!” she shouted. Sin and I started rolling over in laughter. Venus was just as dirty and Mercury and Jupiter.

“Good morning, Luna, Beta, and Gamma!” we heard three similar voices.

“Good morning girls,” I said to the ginger triplets.

They bowed to us and then to the wolves. The guys bowed in return and then we to go shift back into human form. Dorian came out first and scooped me up.

Good morning, he leaned down and kissed me.

“Wow, the Alpha and Luna sure show a lot of PDA,” I heard one of the girls say.

Girls, you have no room to talk. I tell all three of them in a mind link

“Wait, Luna, did you just mind link us?” Ava asked

“I sure did. Now that Dorian and I have marked each other, I am able to communicate with everyone. My Luna announcement was made already, and I already made the b***d oath,”

“Congratulations! That means all the ranked members have marked their mates?” Katie asked. We all nodded and showed off our new marks.

“Are you girls ready to start your new jobs tomorrow?” Sin asked them

“Yes, Gamma!” they all replied.

“So, girls, since this is your last on vacation before starting, I was wondering if you guys want to go shopping with us?” I asked them. Their faces lit up and smiles took over immediately.

“Do you really mean that Luna?” I nodded and they all jumped for joy.

“We were going to go out anyways, and since the boys are required to come with us, you guys can come too. As long you behave yourselves, and stay with the boys,” I say in my Luna tone. They nod.

“Go get ready,” Leah tells them, and they took off for the house.

“We are going to go shower, honey,” Mikey said kissing Sin on the temple. The guys went back into the house.

“We should go get ready too,” I tell Sin and Leah. As we walk through the living area, I was scooped up by Benjamin.

“Allie, I heard the wonderful news,” oh no, did Dorian tell his parents that I proposed.

“What news?” I asked him

“About your Luna Ceremony and that you and your friends are the blessed Desert Wolves,”

“Oh, that news,” I said with relief in my voice

“I wanted to tell you not to worry about a thing. Eleanor, Helena and Bridget are working on everything,”

“Bridget?”

“Brandon’s mother,”

“Oh, I’m sorry, I never got to officially meet her at the Luna announcement,”

“Quite alright,” he says patting the back of my hands. “I that son of mine is treating you like the queen you are,”

“Yes, he is perfect Benjamin, no need to worry,” I smile.

“I also wanted to let you know that you will be meeting Dorian’s older sister the night of the ceremony,

“Wait, Dorian has a sister?”

“He hasn’t told you,” I just shook my head and shrugged my shoulders.

“He never mentioned it, and I never asked if he had siblings. I just assumed he was an only child,”

“Oh well, perhaps I should let you ask him all the details then,” he said and walked away.

I went upstairs to get ready to go out with everyone, and I found Dorian in the closet getting ready himself.

“Hey, baby,” he says when he sees me. I don’t answer him. “Allie, is everything okay?”

“Hm, oh yeah… Just something your dad said,”

“My dad?”

“Babe, you never told me you had a sister,”

“You never asked,”

“Touché,”

“Ask me anything you want baby, I have no secrets,”

“What’s her name, how old is she, are you guys close, where is she, why isn’t she here?” he threw is head back and laughed and walked over to me

“Her name is Amber, she is 40, we are very close, she lives in Florida, and she lives there because that is where her mate lives,”

“Is her mate a wolf?”

“Yeah, she actually met him when she on vacation with some of her friends. He’s the Beta of a pack out there, so you can imagine how thrilled my parents were when they found out,”

“How long has it been since you’ve seen her?”

“A couple of years now, she has five pups to raise and is the Beta female of a decent-sized pack out there. She also runs a branch of the family business down there,”

“Oh, wow…Five pups?”

“Yeah, last round was twins. Amber is a beast. And since she is the daughter of an Alpha, she radiates that kind of aura too,”

“So, how does ranking work when there are multiple kids,”

“The firstborn will technically take that title; however, it’s looking like my nephew Camden will be their new Alpha,” I gave him a funny look.

“The Alpha of their pack has no sons, only two girls, and since my sister has Alpha in her b***d, so does Cam. As long as no one challenges Cam when he is an adult for the title, Cam will become the Alpha, and his little brother Cassias will be the Beta,”

“That’s too confusing,” I say grabbing my hair. He laughs and hugs me. “Wait, so you and Amber have a 12-year age gap, that’s a lot,”

“Yeah, my parents had Amber when they were 18. Amber was conceived the same day they found they were mates. My dad seriously wasted no time in mating with my mom,”

“Oh wow,” I just laughed.

“My sister was treated like a f*****g princess, but my dad was still strict with her. When I was born, my sister helped raise me until I was about 10, then she found her mate and left home. I was sad for a while, but when I got older, I understood why she left,” I hugged his waist. He really loved his sister. I didn’t see any reason why he didn’t tell me about her. It literally just never came up in conversation.

“My sister is also one of the reasons why I stopped sleeping around. Once my dad told me why I had trouble with my d**k, I reached out to my brother-in-law too. He ended up telling my sister everything, and to say that she was disappointed in me was an understatement. I mean, her kid brother was a man w***e for six years. She said I was lucky that I never got any of the girls I slept with pregnant. I would have been so f****d,”

“Yeah, that is a good thing. So, she knows about me?” I asked him

“Intimately, I tell her everything. Well, not everything, just important non-private s**t,” I laughed.

“Alright mister, let’s finish getting ready, I am ready to do some serious damage to that bank account of yours,”

“Oh, that reminds me,” he walked out of the closet and into the bedroom. He came with an envelope.

“What is this?”

“Open it,” I tear it open and I find a bank card with my name on it. I look at him confused.

“It’s your debit card that is attached to my personal account. I called my private banker and added you as a joint owner,”

“Dorian,”

“I know you never had your own bank account or card because of having to live off the grid. But now that you don’t have to do that anymore, I wanted to make sure you were taken care of. My money is your money baby, and if you want to work at the firm after everything settles down, you can work as my assistant,”

“But I don’t want to be a paper pusher and I hate taking phone calls,”

“Oh, no, I already have an office assistant, I meant my assistant for the company as a whole. You will help me with contracts, productivity, and marketing. You have used my products before, and you said that you wanted to build your own app. I need that big brain of yours,”

“Oh, well that I might actually enjoy then,”

“Good, just let me know when you’re ready to work, okay. There is seriously no rush. I want you to enjoy your life before working again. You deserve the extended vacation,”

“Oh, speaking of vacation, I was wondering if you wanted to do a group bachelor and bachelorette party in the Bahamas or the Caribbean?”

“That f*****g sounds awesome, baby,” I smiled, and he smiled. “Think about where you want to go for a honeymoon. Wherever you want to go, I will take you and we will spend three whole weeks, together. You can pick multiple destinations if you want to as well,” when he said that I got excited. I knew that it would be at least a year away, but that gave me a lot of time to think about it.
