Doctor Annastacia's Love Scandal
The Late Arriving Bridegroom

Two weeks after JC proposed to Anna Marie at the Karapova family's residence, they were both getting married today.

In his luxurious home in the elite Hollywood complex, this handsome young man is reflected in front of his bedroom mirror while wearing a black tuxedo to his body which is worth millions of dollars for one advertising contract. JC smiled faintly at his reflection.

Suddenly the memory of his wedding day with Annastacia flooded into his brain. His body swayed and fell to the floor of his room. JC is unconsciously drawn into the vortex of his dark past.

Meanwhile, the bride had finished her make-up that morning at a well-known bridal salon of JC's choice. The wedding car picked up Anna Marie to be taken to St. Basil's Catholic Church on Wilshire Boulevard, where JC and Anna Marie will have their wedding blessing.

Relatives and close friends of the bride and groom sat in the pews at the church. They were waiting for the bride and groom to come. However, an hour has passed and it still hasn't come.

Anna Marie waited in the waiting room of the church because JC should have arrived first and waited for her at the altar, while her father brought her to JC. Anna Marie's heart was pounding erratically because her future groom never showed up.

She also asked people to find Max Brury, JC's manager to meet her in the waiting room of the church.

Not long after, the man came. "What's wrong, Anna? Why hasn't the sacrament of the wedding blessing started yet?" asked Max confused.

"I don't know Max, Jason was normal last night, he was very excited waiting for today. I called his cell phone, but he didn't answer. Can you check on Jason at his house?" said Anna Marie anxiously. "Okay, I'll immediately check Jason's house. Wait!" Max said as he ran out of the church toward his car park.

Max immediately drove his car to the elite Hollywood housing complex. It was getting late, the wedding blessing ceremony was almost 2 hours late. Inside Max was worried that JC would change his mind in his last moments. Maybe that young man went to Grenada looking for Annastacia! thought Max confused.

Finally, after driving for almost an hour, he arrived at JC's front yard. He entered through a side garage which JC luckily unlocked. The blue Lamborghini Aventador was parked neatly in the garage. How odd, Max thought. He immediately took the lift to the 2nd floor where JC's bedroom was.

Not seeing JC's presence in the living room, Max walked into JC's room and found the handsome young man in a tuxedo lying sideways on the floor of his room. Immediately Max ran toward JC.

"Jason ... Jason ... Jason!" he called while patting JC's face.

Slowly the young man moved and opened his heavy eyelids to stare at Max's face. "Aarrrhh! Where am I, Max?" said JC dazedly.

"Oh... gosh, thank God you're awake too Jason. Your bride is waiting alone at church, you're nearly 3 hours late. Hurry up!" Max shouted as he helped JC up.

"Just come with my car, it looks like you're not in good condition and it's not safe to drive yourself," Max said taking JC's arm to go down to the garage with the elevator.

After locking the door properly, JC climbed into Max's Tucson car. The man immediately drove his car at high speed towards St. Basil's Catholic Church. He was concerned about the situation faced by Anna Marie who was waiting for her late groom.

"Why are you lying on the floor, Jason?" asked Max curiously.

JC massaged his temples, he still felt a bit dizzy. "Earlier, the flash of the memory of my wedding day with Annastacia hit my consciousness, suddenly everything turned and became dark as if I was drowning in a vortex of my memories. Max, will I die young?" JC said worriedly.

The JC manager sighed tiredly, he couldn't answer his foster child's question because he wasn't a doctor. He then suggested, "Tomorrow you better see a neurologist again, Jason. I think the doctor understands better what you're suffering from. Take Anna Marie because she's also a doctor."

Finally, after nearly an hour of speeding on the streets, Max's car arrived at the church car park where JC was to be married. "Just get off Jason, I'll park the car," Max said.

JC immediately ran to the waiting room of the church, his bride was sitting waiting for him with a semi-transparent white veil covering her head. The young man knelt in front of his bride while grabbing a tiny hand covered in white lace gloves. "I'm sorry I was late and made you wait so long, Anna. I fainted at home until Max woke me up earlier," said JC explaining the reason for the delay.

His heart was troubled by his health condition, JC asked Anna Marie, "Anna, are you still going to marry me today even though I might not live long? Maybe I have a problem with my brain so I often faint."

Those clear tears passed through Anna Marie's smooth cheeks. She squeezed JC's hand that was holding it. "Yes, Jason. I don't care how much time I get to spend with you. Let's enjoy any chance we have left to love each other as if each day were our last on this earth."

Anna Marie's words made JC's heart sink, he was sure that this time the woman he chose would never leave him for another man. Nor left him because of his deteriorating health condition.

"Anna, come hold my arm. Let's meet Father Peter Jackson now at the altar. I will make you my wife who I will love for the rest of my life," JC said confidently as he stood up and helped Anna Marie up too.

Anna Marie smiled beneath the sheer cloth looking at JC. Then they stepped into the main prayer hall of St. Basil's Catholic Church.

The sound of the piano singing Ave Maria accompanied the steps of the bride and groom toward the altar. They ignored the whispers commenting on the bride and groom's delay. A happy smile bloomed on JC and Anna Marie's faces because this was their happy day together.

The procession of the sacrament of the wedding blessing went smoothly. Until the time came for Father Peter Jackson to read out his question to take the sacred vows of the bride and groom. Just like what JC had lived with Annastacia Brighton in Santorini before.

One side of his heart ached, remembering that the promise he had made with Annastacia had failed.

When Father Peter Jackson asked about his willingness to accompany Anna Marie through joy and sorrow, health and sickness, strengths and weaknesses until death does them part, JC replied, "Yes, I do!"

Likewise, with Anna Marie, she replied, "Yes, I do!" Without words but just like what Annastacia used to say in the wedding blessing first.

The priest asked JC to open the cloth covering the bride's head and kissed it.

JC carefully removed the cloth covering so that he could see Anna Marie's beautiful face shining with love looking at him.

"I love you, Anna Marie Karapova," said JC before kissing his bride's lips.

A feeling of emotion welled up in Anna Marie's chest until a single tear passed through her eye sockets. Her love for JC will never waver no matter what, they are meant to be united even though she may not be JC's first love. "Forever I'm yours, Jason, I promise you," Anna Marie replied solemnly.

In front of all the guests present and also the priest, JC hugged Anna Marie tenderly. He smiled happily because he had found his true love.
