The Crossroads of Destiny (The End)

Shane and Rayden's upcoming vacation is planned to be spent visiting the families of Aunt Jocelyn and Uncle Max in Los Angeles, California. They also have cousins there, namely Royce and Adeline who are almost the same age as them. This morning Max Brury picked up his little brother-in-law's little family at the Los Angeles international airport with his little family too. The two children were so excited to be reunited with their cousins. Usually, they are visiting Grenada, but now it's their turn to welcome Shane and Rayden to LA.

When they met in front of the passenger arrival gate, the two pairs of young children ran and hugged each other excitedly.

"Shanes!"

"Royces!" "Adel!"

"Rays!"

They called each other and embraced intimately. Both their parents watched while laughing at the excitement of the small children chatting.

"Hey, Max, Jocy!" greeted John shaking hands and hugging warmly alternating with Max and Jocelyn.

"Hey, John, Anna!" replied Max.

"Let's continue on our way home to talk!" said Jocy helping Anna carry her family's luggage.

On the way to Jocelyn and Max's house, Max's car passes a billboard featuring JC as the star of the advertisement. Annastacia noticed that and Jocelyn knew it.

"JC is a dream father figure in California, Anna. He adorns many billboards in this city. I hope it won't bother you," said Jocelyn, who sat next to Annastacia.

"Her daughter is very beautiful, similar to Jason," said Annastacia sincerely while taking a deep breath. She has buried all the memories of her love story with JC for the past 7 years.

Jocelyn understood what her youngest sister felt, she patted Anna's back and didn't continue talking about JC.

Meanwhile, John also feels wary because the city reminds him of the shooting incident he did at the famous pop star artist first. He hoped that Anna would not experience romantic nostalgia with JC.

"Uncle Max, can you take us to Disneyland tomorrow? Ray and I would love to visit there," Shane asked Max Brury, his uncle who was driving his old Tucson car which was still very good performance.

"Of course, you can, Shane. Tomorrow we'll go on a picnic together to Disneyland," said Max lightly.

After driving about two hours from Los Angeles international airport, they arrived at the Brury family home in LA. The house was nothing fancy, a traditional minimalist two-story townhouse in suburban Los Angeles. There is a beautiful and well-kept garden plot around the white house with dark brown wooden ornaments.

"Welcome to our little house!" Jocelyn exclaimed happily as she opened the front porch door for her family guest.

Children run into the house without feeling shy because they are a close family. Royce took his two cousins to an empty room next to his on the 2nd floor.

"Shane, Ray, you guys sleep here okay, if you ever need anything from me, my room is to the right of this one. Are you guys going on a week's vacation in LA?" Royce said sitting on the edge of one of the adjoining single beds. Shane sat across from Royce and replied, "I don't think it will last that long, my mom and dad are very busy doctors, Royce. Do you often meet Hollywood stars?"

"Several artists yes, you know, my dad is an artist manager. Uncle Jason is one of the famous artists he deals with, we often meet him," Royce answered proudly talking about JC.

"Uhm... JC you mean huh? I like him too and also his beautiful daughter, Mikhaela," said Shane with a blush.

Seeing his cousin blushing about Mikhaela, his close friend, Royce laughed at Shane. "Do you have a crush on Mikhaela? We're playmates, you know, Shane. I'll introduce her to you later," he said.

"Wow! That's cool Royce. Introduce me to her. Does she have a boyfriend?" said Shane excitedly.

Royce shrugged. "I'm not sure, but she's very friendly and beautiful, maybe a lot of people like her too, Shane. If I only dare to be friends with her, I'm afraid my dad will scold me if I date Michie," Royce said, looking at his cousin who had a handsome face and dark hair while chuckling.

The next day the two small families were so excited about preparing things to take on a picnic to Disneyland. Jocelyn and Anna cooked some homemade snacks for their family picnic.

At 10.00 AM LA time, the Tucson car left for Anaheim, California, where the Disneyland play area is located.

The four children ran into the various playground areas. Unfortunately, several rides are still not allowed to be played by children under 10 years old. They also have to be satisfied with a vehicle to play with according to their age. Annastacia walked alone reminiscing about the day she had her last date with JC at this place. Her heart felt squeezed even though her face looked normal. Flashes of John shooting JC in the courtyard near the castle restaurant after she bought ice cream with JC flashed through Annastacia's mind.

Unintentionally, Annastacia's gaze clashed with the eyes of a man who once shared her love. Her tongue seemed to be numb and they walked straight past each other without greeting each other like two strangers who don't know each other. From behind Annastacia, a beautiful woman with long wavy reddish-brown hair with a pair of turquoise eyes ran past and took the handsome man's hand.

The man stopped walking and said, "Anna, thank you for being someone very meaningful in my life."

Annastacia stopped walking and turned around to look at the man. Her eyes were moist as she returned the man's smile.

While the woman who was holding the man's hand replied, "It's my pleasure, Jason. I love you, Hubby!"

A fact that quite saddened Annastacia. However, she realizes that JC also has the right to be happy just like herself even though she doesn't have each other like before when they were together making love.

One side of JC's heart felt the same pain as Annastacia, all of his memories had recovered as before. However, Anna Marie was the last harbor of his love. He also put his arm around his wife's shoulder walking in the opposite direction from Annastacia.

"Darling, sorry for the long wait. The toilet is busy. Is something wrong? Why are you crying, Anna Dear?" John said curiously as he hugged Annastacia's body.

"I met Jason and his wife," Anna said with tears streaming down her cheeks in her husband's arms.

John's hand caressed Annastacia's head gently. He wanted to comfort his wife who must have been hurt to see her old lover with her new partner. John is a man who is patient and very mature in his thinking, he is not jealous or blames Anna. "He has a happy home life just like us, Anna. I've met JC's daughter, she's playing with Shane and the others. You also have to meet Mikhaela Channing, I think your eldest son likes her," said John while laughing dryly kissing the top of his wife's head.

Then Annastacia looked at her husband's face in surprise, laughing amusedly. "Oh my God, is this destiny? If Shane becomes Jason's daughter's lover then he will continue their parents' love story which was cut off in the middle of the road," Annastacia replied.

The man nodded his head as he walked to put his arm around Annastacia's shoulder. "Maybe... no one knows what will happen in the future, My Dear. The most important thing is that your love is only for me," John answered, stopped walking, and kissed Annastacia on the lips, his true love.
