Claire's face remained stoic, though her eyes turned a shade colder. She motioned for Chloe to sit.

Chloe settled down on the couch across from her. "How about some coffee?"

Chloe set her bag down and pulled out a velvet box. "I'll pass on the coffee. I'm here to return the 'Tears of the Queen,' a piece worth a cool billion. Better keep it safe, big sister." With that, she opened the box, placed it on the coffee table, and nudged it towards Claire. Claire's grip on her coffee cup tightened, knuckles turning white as she looked at the jewels inside. Today, the company's stocks had taken a nosedive all because of this jewelry set. Chloe's mention of its billion-dollar worth was a jab at the massive loss Eldridge Entertainment faced.

In contrast, Connor's company, CNR, where Chloe played a key role, was riding high, with stocks shooting up since morning. As Chloe walked in, it had just hit its peak.

Claire took a sip of her coffee. "Ms. Chloe, you've played your cards well. That fool Lisa could never match up. If you'd teamed up with me from the start, we could've been quite the pair." Chloe smiled softly, "You're too kind, Ms. Claire."
