Don’t Fall for the Billionaire Lover -
Chapter 723
Chloe chuckled softly, "I just love seeing you get all jealous."
Connor put on a fake stern face, "Babe, that's not fair play."
Chloe reached out to scratch his chin again but paused, remembering that Connor wasn't a fan of it. He was sensitive about being treated like a trophy husband, feeling that such playful gestures were belittling. Chloe didn't see it that way, but she respected his feelings. As she was about to pull her hand back, Connor, still driving, leaned into her hand, offering his chin. Without looking at her, he said casually, "Go on, then."
Chloe almost burst into laughter but managed to give him a quick scratch before withdrawing her hand.
"You're seeing Cassie tomorrow, right?" Connor asked.
Chloe nodded, "Yeah, part of why she came to Riverbrook was because of me. Now I'm heading off to Eldridge City, and I feel a bit bad about leaving her behind."
"Don't worry, she'll tag along," Connor assured her.
"How do you know?" Chloe asked.
"She's like glue always sticking with you," Connor teased.
"Hey, don't talk about Cassie like that," Chloe said, a bit miffed.
Seeing her genuinely upset, Connor quickly apologized, "Sorry, it's just that with her attitude and style, I sometimes forget she's a girl." After a moment, he added, "I wonder what's up with her and the third Shaw brother."
Chloe was curious too, especially after seeing Winston's conflicted look the last time they met.
The next day, Chloe headed to Promise, Cassie's 24-hour bar, which was a chill diner by day and a bustling hub by night. Cassie was thrilled to see her and even whipped up a cocktail on the spot. Cassie's drink-mixing flair was so impressive that Chloe had to record it on her phone.
Sliding the cocktail over, Cassie quipped, "Here you go, my darling."
Chloe took a sip, "This is great."
After some chatting, Chloe said, "Cassie, I'm planning to move to Eldridge City."
Cassie just shrugged, "Go for it. With Connor becoming the CEO of Sartori Corporation, it was bound to happen. I knew you'd eventually

head over there."
"I'm coming with you. Riverbrook is a bore," Cassie added, a hint of sadness flickering across her usually carefree face.
"What about the bar? And the Gilbert family's auto shop?" Chloe asked.
"I'll sell the bar, it's been losing money anyway. As for the garage, my stepmom's always causing trouble, filling it with her people and sparking strikes. I'll strike too if need be. If Jeffery questions it, I'll tell it like it is. I'm not scared of her."
"Plus, I want to focus on what I love. Once I'm in Eldridge City, I'm starting a racing club," Cassie declared.
Chloe was all for it, "I'll back you up, become your partner."
Cassie, with her passion for cars, racing mods, and model crafting, was sure to thrive.
Cassie laughed, agreeing eagerly.
Chloe took another sip, "So, what's the deal with Winston? Has that blockhead confessed yet?"
Cassie nearly spit out her drink, "What are you talking about? Confess what?"
