Dr. Luna
The Fairy’s Forbidden Mate Chapter 74

Rhea looked up to Titus full of questions. What was this energy between them? She felt protective ove from the world's eyes. She felt like she knew him and there was no doubt that she was connected to h around over her blue irises as the two of them gently swayed to the music.

Titus was also feeling the same way. There was a sense of urgency to protect her. Why was this desire "Maybe we are like superheroes and our combined powers turns us into a giant robot or something." Titus chuckled. "I hope your wolf is able to tell us what she knows... because this is a bit odd to say th "A twenty-year-old werewolf without her wolf is odd too." Rhea gave him a crooked smile. "Look if we get superpowers, I want to have invisibility." Titus said thoughtfully. "Eeewwww no way p*****t. Like you could be trusted with a skill like that." Rhea chastised his suggest "p*****t?" Titus coughed out. "I'm insulted. I might be a flirt, but I am not a p*****t. I'd only use it on b "Let me guess... your personal justice lays on the lines of no boner left behind." Rhea watched as Titus He shook his head and grinned down at her. "Always surprising me."

"I don't know anything about Lila but let me know if she mistreats you. I'll have a talk with her. You kn smile.

"Are you getting all protective over me or something? Worried I can't handle myself?" Titus chuckled a "I know you are a good guy Titus. You can hide behind your rough exterior all you want. But I know de "She's a good one. She has been for as long as I've known her. It is probably her you should be worrie "What?"

"I knew you would eventually look at this place as home." He said with a haughty attitude.

"Well for now it is. My home is with Lee. Wherever he is that is where home is."

"If Levi heard that you'd be making him blush for sure. He is a lucky guy to have you so devoted to him..

t." Titus winked and spun Rhea around again as he pulled her up to him he had a strange smirk on his face.

Rhea looked at him for a moment. Her eyes glanced at Lee for only a second and then back to Titus. "I wonder what life has been like for him."

Titus frowned. "I used to think about that often and worry about him when I am no longer around. It doesn't do us any good to think like that though. We should just concentrate on filling him with the best memories we can during our lifetime. So that he will always have them to hold onto. Of course," Titus grinned. "You can give him the gift that keeps on giving by having a bunch of little whelps for him to look after for generations to come."

"Even if I live over a thousand years what is that in the aspect of eternity... I don't want to ever leave him Titus. I..." Rhea bit her bottom lip. It was something that had been bothering her more and more as she thought about his immortality. "I worry about him. He is immortal, not invulnerable. I worry he may do things to purposely end his immortality."

Titus tilted his head and looked down at her with a small smile. "And? If he decides to do that would he not have earned that decision?"

Rhea looked up at him with surprised eyes. She then glanced down to the floor feeling a bit embarrassed. If the situation was reversed wouldn't she think about the same thing? Throw caution to the wind. "I'm being silly huh?"

"Yes. You have a lifetime with him. Don't overthink it, Rhea. Life is never a guarantee so we should enjoy the dance." Titus grinned at her as he swayed with her to the music.

"I guess sometimes you might know a thing or two of what you are talking about." The music stopped and Titus linked her arm in his tenderly reaching his hand over and patting her hand..

"Ha. I always know what I am talking about." Titus grinned and led her over to the side of the tent.

"You're always so modest Titus." Rhea teased and the two of them chuckled together. "Thanks for the dance. You should get back to your new mate now though."

Dex and Lila walked over to the side meeting up with them. "I guess this is where I leave you in Dex's hands again." Titus reached his arm around Lila and led her towards the many different tables. He was wanting to introduce her to everyone on more of an intimate basis.

"So now what?" Dex asked as he looked down at Rhea. Rhea's eyes scanned the area and then widened.

"Kelsie is back!" Rhea quickly walked out from the tent and headed in the direction of her friend. Dex followed right behind her. "Kelsie you are back quicker then I thought."

"I didn't go to the Diamond Pack. Your parents are planning to travel there. I let them know about what was going on though. Your dad wanted to come here though." Kelsie laughed. "You should have heard him cussing out Abaddon. Honestly, I never heard your father speak like that before. It seems like he has a deep hatred for the half demon. It was your mother though who disagreed. She said that they were needed by Wyatt's side right now and that you had plenty of support at your side. Your mother is amazing by the way. She already knew that I was your guardian... how did she know that? She told me to take good care of you and Cody." Then a small tear trickled from Kelsie's eyes. "She said she was glad that I was joining the family as Cody's mate." "Aww Kelsie. Of course, she is glad to have you in our family. I'm sure she was able to sense her power in you. Since it is the fairy queen who bestows power into the guardians.... I wonder what is going on with Wyatt. I hope everything is okay. I wonder if he needs me. Maybe we should go to him." Rhea frowned as she thought about her brother. Her parents were visiting him for a reason... she hoped it wasn't anything serious.

Kelsie let out a dry laugh. "I don't think so. I promised you would be safe here. There is no way we are traveling away from the protection you have here. Your parents will take care of Wyatt and Jason. And when all this is over we will go and visit him." Rhea gave her friend a crooked smile. "Look at you sounding all responsible now."

"I figured now that I am your guardian, I need to step it up some." Kelsie grinned.

"Okay... just don't turn into Cody on me." Rhea teased.

"I heard that." Cody snorted as he walked up from the side.

"Ooops." Rhea grinned and turned her head to look at him.

Cody walked up to Kelsie and took her gently in his arms. "Was the trip okay?"

"I can instantly travel through water. The trip was easy. Your parents are well. They are going to visit with Wyatt and Jason. They are leaving Rhea to us and to come and get them if we need assistance.”

Cody frowned. He was also worried about Wyatt and Jason now. He pulled Kelsie's body into his deeper and tenderly rubbed her arms. Sending Kelsie away from him, even though she can easily transport somewhere with water, was hard for him to do. His first instinct as a mate is to keep her close. But his instinct as a guardian is to protect Rhea and Kelsie is the most efficient way to deliver messages. As strong as his relationship is with Kelsie... nothing can ever come in between the guardian pull. Rhea was someone who would always come first. And now with Kelsie also being a guardian she could feel that too. It had to be this way. It was the natural preservation of the fairy power instilled in them. Rhea could never be replaced not until she at least produced an heir. "What did you and Reese find out?" Dex finally spoke up. He had been the quiet bystander for the last few moments.

"Reese is speaking with Titus now. He thinks the dragons should increase the patrol and widen its berth around the mountain. He thinks doing that alone will make the demons pause or at least double think coming closer to their territory. He said it isn't just a princess issue this is a dragon territory issue. They can't afford to show any leniency when it comes to their territory." Cody watched as Dex nodded along with him.

"Dragons are very territorial. If they think their territory is being invaded on, they will be more willing to scout the area and will patrol viciously. Reese has always been incredibly smart when it comes to military decisions." Dex glanced out to the darkness in the distance. He didn't like how brazen the demons were that they would come close to the West Dragon kingdom. Who was all working in the shadows that they would feel comfortable doing this? Who was protecting the demons and their agenda? "Why don't you two enjoy the rest of your evening?" Rhea looked at Cody and Kelsie. "I am going to go back and shower. Maybe watch a movie or something. But I want you two to enjoy what is left of the evening."

Before they could object Rhea added. "I'm sure Lee will join me." She smiled and nodded at them to go.

Luckily for Rhea, Kelsie could read between the lines. She wanted to spend some alone time with Lee and the two of them would hinder that. "Okay Rhea. Call us if you need us... but I doubt you will." She winked at Rhea and smiled up at Cody. "Are you going to ask me for a dance, or do I need to ask you?"

Cody playfully pawed at her nose. He smiled at Rhea in appreciation for also being considerate of him and then he led Kelsie away.

"So you kicking me to the curb?" Dex grinned.

Rhea giggled. "I think I should get to spend some of my evening with my mate... don't you?"

He nodded. "I'll walk you to your door then. How should I inform Lee?"

Rhea smiled and looked towards Lee. "There's no need. He will find me."

"I would rather know for sure he is with you..." Dex said with a frown.

Rhea smiled and tilted her head up to Dex. "He is someone that I can link to since he is my summon. I can tell him what I am doing."

"Well then do that first and I'll walk you to your door." Dex crossed his arms unwilling to budge. He couldn't just leave her alone after everything.

Lee... Rhea focused on the light blue energy inside of her head. It was different than mind linking. Mind linking she only had to think of Cody and she spoke with him effortlessly. With this summon link she had to concentrate and connect with the light inside of her. She watched his eyes twitch towards her direction and she gave him a small smile. I'm going back upstairs. If you aren't busy maybe I'll see you up there. She watched his lips curl upwards as he looked ahead of him to the crowd. His stiff demeanor seemed much more happy in that moment.

I'll be up there waiting, princess.

Rhea looked up to Dex and smiled. "Done."

"Okay... then shall we?" He extended his arm to her and she took it happily. The party was nice and all, but she wanted to be with Lee. She felt more excited to leave the party. She was going to get to spend some rare alone time with the man she loved.
