The Fairy’s Forbidden Mate Chapter 78

Rhea. The war will need the Gemini Twins in order to succeed. I had to keep you two protected and secret for as long as possible. With Lumi out your souls will both have awakened. Your powers will now be released. When the two of you are together you will be a powerful force. Your ability to unite and command will be imperative with the interspecies war that is coming. But like before, they will try to take you both out. They will try to kill you when you are separated. I wanted to wait even longer, but the demons are moving quickly.

So, Titus is my soul brother? That was the connection we have been feeling... It's kind of weird. Rhea giggled a bit thinking how a dragon was her soul brother. Though... Cody was her brother too and he was a werebear. Maybe it wasn't that weird. It is very smart. Creating a bonded relationship among the species. And in this case among three species.

You planned this? In order to protect the fairies. Rhea came to that realization that this was all part of her plan. The Moon Goddess had the power of premonition too. This was planned.

There was more to them then what she was saying. She could be wrong but it was a hunch. You know what is important to know right now Rhea. And that is what your connection is to each other. Wait, Titus knows now too? Selene never responded to Rhea but drifted from her mind. She really did not answer a lot of questions. And she's gone again...Lumi... you still here too?

Yes... It's a bit overwhelming. I feel like more of us is waking up. Lumi laid down in Rhea's head. It was a lot for her to take in too. The pain of her past life stabbed at her heart. She wouldn't make those same mistakes this time. She was too trusting. If she had to she would protect Rhea. Rhea was too nice and still fairly trusting.

Rhea felt herself drifting back from her consciousness. She first became aware of the big burly arms of her brother around her. She could feel the dampness from her eyes still dripping down her face. She opened her eyes and slowly breathed in. She smelled the fresh scent of her mate. She could feel her insides calming down just from his scent alone. The mate bond was a wonderful thing.

"Rhea." Lee sighed out a breath of relief seeing her no longer in pain.

Cody slowly let down his arms. Rhea turned and looked at him. He was dripping with sweat and looked exhausted. "Cody, are you okay?"

He slumped down into the couch and Kelsie went to his side. He was slowly panting as he nodded. "As long as you are alright. What was that?" He put his arm around Kelsie and rubbed her arm to reassure her. He knew she was worried about him. He was fine. Just a bit exhausted now but he was okay.

Rhea felt Lee's warm arms wrap around her and she leaned into his comforting chest. Her life was finally all being pieced together. She now knew her connection to both Lee and Titus. One was her mate and the other her twin soul.

She listened as the sound of the door opened. She looked up to see Titus quickly popping up from the stairs. His eyes darted around the room until he settled onto Rhea. His gentle topaz eyes smiled at her as he closed the distance between them. Rhea stepped away from Lee and towards him. He wrapped her into his arms and leaned his head on her forehead. "I guess we have our answer." Titus said quietly. An intense energy grew around them as their souls reunited. There was a gentle pulsing energy flowing inside the both of them as their souls reconnected, finally fully together. A warm light resonated lightly over their skin before it began flowing between them internally. "So, I am kind of like a superhero?" Titus chuckled.

"Hold the invisibility though." Rhea giggled and looked up at him. Out of the corner of her eye she could see a minorly distressed Lee. He had no clue what was going on still. Rhea reached her hand out to Lee and took his hand in hers. She then pulled him in towards her and Titus. She let out a dry laugh. "Well... you said that I would keep your life interesting." He looked down at her with confusion as his eyes flickered between her and Titus.

Titus took a small step away from Rhea and Lee took the moment to wrap his arms around her again. "Speaking of interesting. I haven't seen the two of you for a whole night and half a day now. And Rhea.... You smell completely like Levi here." "Shouldn't you have been busy tending to your mate too?" Lee asked with a small smirk.

Titus was about to answer and then his eyes bulged. "All this time?! All this time? You have been... you know all this time? Man, I don't have the stamina." Titus shrugged and then grinned seeing Rhea's deep red face. "Why do you smell like him though?" "La la la la not hearing this la la la la" Cody said loudly shooting Titus an annoyed glare.

"I'm not sure I guess after...well afterward... it changed the way I smelled." Rhea answered in a quieted voice.

Lee grinned down at his bashful mate. "Anyways... are you two going to explain what just happened?" He cleared his throat trying to escape the topic of his night for Rhea's sake. He had nothing to be embarrassed about. If anything, he was quite proud of it. He wouldn't mind broadcasting his night to everyone but the timing still wasn't quite right for that.

"Did you feel that pain too?" Rhea asked. She watched as Titus nodded.

"Sure did. Man.. that really hurt." Titus looked up from Rhea and then into Lee's eyes. "I'm sorry to say that I am very connected to your mate." Titus said, trying to mess with Levi's head. "We are really close."

Rhea shook her head and smiled. "I don't think you can mess with his head anymore. Not after the evening we spent together. My wolf has said he is our mate."

It then clicked for Titus. "So that's what happened..." Titus smirked and looked at the two of them. "I guess your wolf wanted to seal the deal more than Levi's beast." He heard Levi let out a low chuckle as he continued to poke at him.

"Get back on topic, young whelp." Lee gently stroked his hands over Rhea's arms as he held her close. He was no longer worried about Titus being her mate, but he did want to know how they were connected. "Rhea and I are connected by our souls..." Titus filled them in while Rhea added in with the story.

A small frown had been resting on Lee's face after they finished explaining. He knew about the Gemini Twins and knew of their first fate. He felt very concerned and protective. The two people he was closest to would have a big target on their back. At the same time, they would be incredibly strong together. Lee was in deep thought over everything. The fates had their hands in this. It was not a coincidence for him to have someone like a brother to him and the other his mate who are the Gemini twins. He was in their lives to protect them. He wasn't the only deity watching over these souls. They would have several that back them. Maybe this would be enough to get the other deities to accept his relationship. Since he was mated to one of the Gemini twins.

"So, when the two of you are near each other you are immune to magic and fire resistant?" Cody had intently listened to the story that was pertaining to his sister. "In a sense you are Rhea's brother as well?"

Titus smiled and nodded. "She always seemed like a sister to me. I guess that's why."

"Well then I guess you are my brother too." Cody hopped up and patted Titus on the back.

Titus' eyes widened and he jumped back a bit shocked.

"What?" Cody asked looking around.

"Didn't touching me burn you?" Titus looked at Cody incredulously.

"Tiiitttuuuusssss. I'm a Guardian." Cody chuckled. "You really didn't think that your pathetic dragon skin could burn ME, did you?"

"Wait! I'm a Guardian too. Let me see." Kelsie walked up and touched Titus; she then removed her hand and wiped it on her pants. "It didn't burn but it's just a bit gross. I hope this smell comes off." She raised her hand up and grimaced at the scent still remaining. Dragon musk was gross.

Titus stood there staring in awe. Inwardly, he could barely contain his happiness. These were people who would be staying in his kingdom that all could touch him. For someone who started out so alone he felt like a family was growing around him. Even Kelsie was becoming like an annoying little sister to him. He had his mate, his brother, his soul twin and now the two guardians. He was having a houseful. He would never feel lonely again.

Titus reached his hand out to Cody and clasped hands with him. He then leaned in with his other hand and patted him on the back. "I told you we would end up as great friends."

Cody chuckled and nodded. "I never would have imagined it before."

Rhea leaned into Lee and smiled. This felt like such a good moment. She didn't want it to end. She didn't want the future to come. Couldn't the demons just disappear? She tilted her head up to look at Lee. His eyes were gazing back down to her. He lowered himself and then gently kissed her nose. She enjoyed the tiny sparks she felt from the contact. The sparks and electricity had gotten stronger since she got her wolf. Oh... her wolf. She finally had her wolf. She wanted to shift.

About damn time you thought of me. I need to stretch my legs. You know I've only been stuck in a bubble forever. Lumi teased but was also enjoying the moment with Rhea. It had a very uniting feel to it. One that Lumi craved as well.

Sorry. You are right. I am ready for my first shift. Rhea turned and looked at Lee. "Any chance a girl who just got her wolf can shift and go on my first run?"

He smiled down at her. "Yes, but I want to be there with you. I want to be with you while you shift." He nuzzled his nose into her hair taking in their joined scents.

"Let's go to the far end of the woods. It will give us plenty of privacy. I want to see her shift too. Lila is busy today anyways." Titus said with a small pout.

"I'm so excited! I can't wait to see your beautiful wolf." Kelsie was bouncing around in excitement. She was so happy for her dear friend.

"Rhea... I can help you with your shift. Like how Jason helped Wyatt. The first shift can be painful. But let your wolf guide you and I can help alleviate the pain as well." Cody could use his gift as a guardian to draw the pain into himself when she shifted. Just like how he had taken the pain away from her earlier.

"You can help guide me, but I don't want you taking the pain, Cody. This is mine. And it will get better after the first shift. Lumi is pretty ready so I don't think my first shift will be too hard." Rhea smiled as she felt Lumi bouncing around her head in excitement. The group stood under a canopy of shaded trees. All excited to be part of Rhea's first shift.

"Okay Rhea. Connect with your wolf. Feel for her and let yourself drift back as she comes forward." Cody watched Rhea nod to him. He wanted to help her with the pain, but she was insistent on doing this part herself. Okay Lumi are you ready?

Is that a joke? Just relax Rhea and let our energy flow together. Let it flow freely and don't fight it. Fighting it is what causes the pain. Which is why the more wolves shift the less it hurts because they learn how to shift properly. We can do this together. We can do this painlessly. Just let go and hand the reins over to me.
