Dr. Luna
Chapter 22

Tyler smiled as he felt the locked door. Like that was going to keep him from coming in. He unlocked t about the possibility of her making a break for it again and was relieved to see that she didn't. As he s He pushed the door open further and his ears picked up on a muffled noise. He stepped in more towa stared at her closed eyes. They were damp and liquid streaks ran down her face.

r and looked around the room. Was she hiding from him? He quickly checked the windows, but they were all locked. He let out a breath. He did not think over the room his eyes landed on the walk-in closet door. It was the only place he had left to check. He opened the door and looked inside the dark room. sound. On the floor in the corner of the closet was Lilly curled up in a ball with ear buds in her ears. He was hearing the muffled sound of her music. He

He knelt down beside her and his heart squeezed at the sight of her. She was hurting. His poor mate looked so pained. He cursed himself for causing her anguish. This was all his fault. He plucked an earbud out of her ear and her eyes flickered open. "Baby, what are you doing in the closet?" Tyler reached out and smoothed her hair back from her face

"There is a storm heading this way, Aaron called me and said it was pretty bad. I thought if I put on headphones before it started storming then I would be okay. I wouldn't be able to see any lightning in the closet, so it seemed like the best place to go." Lilly reached her hand up and wiped her face. He saw the tears that she did not want him to see. She did not want him to know how bad she was hurting. Hearing this broke his heart. She was going to weather the storm on her own. It was time to fix everything, hopefully.

"Lilly, do not ever and I mean ever try to leave again. I will always find you. No matter where you go, I will find you. You are mine... Avery told me what Jessica implied. I have never ever slept with her and certainly didn't tonight. She asked if she could sleep downstairs on the couch and I said she could. That was it. I do not want Jessica. I want you. I need you You are my mate." Tyler sat down in front of Lilly. He then reached his hand out in front of him and cupped her cheek. "Let's talk everything out, okay?" Lilly stared at him, biting her bottom lip nervously and nodded. He didn't sleep with Jessica. There was an instant relief in her chest. At least that is one issue that was gone. She should have hit the b***h even harder.

"I'm sorry for the way I have been today. I was angry with the way you looked and was upset because knew other men would be looking at you. I let my temper get out of control from that point on." Tyler apologized as he stared at the glistening green eyes in front of her. "Honestly... I let my jealousy get the best of me. I hurt you and I am so so sorry. I know that isn gh bu-"

"You didn't even tell me that I looked nice." Lilly pouted and shot her eyes away from his face. It was one of the things that started her bad mood.

Tyler chuckled and then reached out to pull her into his arms. She felt a bit reluctant, but she finally relented. "You looked more than nice. You looked too amazing. I had the most beautiful lady in the room as my mate and couldn't have her by my side. I was extremely frustrated. The thought of you being another man's date, and not just any man, one of the nown Alpha twins would be my mate's date for the evening. I snapped. And then you refused me as your Alpha, and it broke my heart Lilly. I was jealous and

hurt and I could not have acted more poorly. Please forgive me Lills."

"I'm sorry. I was wrong. I was angry, but I should not have said that. I guess I can be a little childish sometimes." Lilly looked back up at him. Denying him as her Alpha would be painful to him, since it would be like denying him as her mate. "However, you could have had me as your date tonight. So that is on you."

"I'm sorry... and I'm sorry for the situation you were put in too." He reached up and brushed her neck tenerty. "That was my fault. Those men only got that idea because I openly shunned you and had the pack do the same. If I hadn't acted poorly you never would have had to deal with that situation. So, I am very sorry. I know my apology isn't enough, but let me start from there." Tyler watched as the tears poured from the emerald pools in front of him.

"If I wouldn't have dressed that way or wore my hair that way... I did it to tease you. It wasn't for other men." Lilly sobbed through the words. He was blaming himself and she was blaming herself. Even though it was none of their faults that those wolves were disgusting people. Lilly was not one to not admit when she had wrong doings. It was not in her nature.

Tyler's heart skipped a beat. She had dressed up like that for him. She was flirting with him. She was being his own personal tease and he reacted so poorly over it. He really was a moron. He took his thumbs and wiped the tears away from her face. "This was not your fault, Lilly. Don't you dare think that." Tyler pulled her into his chest and rubbed her back soothingly. "I am very thankful that Tristan and James got there so fast. Those two really are wrecking balls." He began to trace her neck gently with his fingertips. "I cannot imagine how much that must have upset you." Tyler's eyes were pained as he stared at Lilly.

Lilly shut her eyes and nodded. "I keep feeling his breath on my skin. He was so close to my neck. I feel so violated." Lilly whimpered softly.

Tyler leaned forward close to her neck. "Then let's erase that feeling." He let his hot breath sting at her neck. He then kissed her forehead and let his fingers trace along her neckline and marking spot.

The jolting sparks of electric rippled through her body from his touch. She stretched out her neck unconsciously allowing him more access to it. His fingers gently ran up and down her neck, slowly tracing over her sensitive marking spot. His touch was healing, removing the sickening feeling of someone else's sticky breath and replacing it with little pricks of pleasure. She wanted him, she wanted him to place his mark on her. She could feel him beginning to give her gentle kisses on her neck. He was making his move to mark her. She was allowing him more access to her neck. Subconsciously her body was demanding he mark her too. She suddenly woke up from her trance like state and quickly pulled away. She was getting ahead of herself. She still needed to talk to him. She looked at the hurt that reflected in his eyes. "It's not that I don't want you to Tyler. I actually want you to mark me really bad. I just need to say something first and to tell you something. I want to be honest with you and not trap you." Tyler chuckled. "Baby, you are a prize. There is nothing about you that is a trap."

"My pack didn't want me, but they didn't have a choice since I was born into it. This time, there will be a choice involved." Lilly was not going to be the obligated burden. Not this time.

Tyler looked at her with amusement. She was adorable. She actually thinks there is something she could say that would make him refuse her. He'd refuse his pack before refusing her. He leaned back against the closet wall. "The stage is yours." "Okay, first. You are sure you don't want Jessica at all? I know she was your fiancé, and you broke it off, but it just seems that you are being so tolerable of her." Lilly gazed into Tyler's eyes she was searching for the truth.

"No, I don't want Jessica. I never should have gotten engaged to her in the first place... but that's a story for another day." Tyler rubbed the back of his neck and then looked for Lilly to continue.

"I know you were jealous and hurt... but Tyler I swear if you ever order the pack to ignore me again-"

"I won't. It will never happen again. I-I don't even know what I was thinking. I snapped. That doesn't justify it, I was wrong, and I hope you can forgive me." Tyler had really wronged her there. Sorry doesn't take it away, but it was at least a starting point. Lilly reached down and lifted the necklace that hung from her neck. "Remember how I said that my magic was suppressed?" Lilly watched Tyler nod his head and then continued. "This necklace suppresses my magic. My pack only allowed me to stay as long as I never took this necklace off. It is linked to my magic so that it absorbs it from me. Which is why I can't heal like a werewolf should. The thing is... I am not all werewolf. I am a half breed. My mother was magical. My father never got into it much, but I know she was not a werewolf. I guess she was a witch. It is one of the reason's Kira is so large. My pack was afraid of me, I guess to them I was an abomination."

Tyler looked at her quietly. He stared at her green pools waiting for her to continue, but that looked to be the end of her story.

"The Silver moon pack have always been what other packs consider purists or snobs. They are the rarity. Most packs have several members that are mixed. Half human, half witch, half something... it is normal. You can't help who your mates are. The Silver moon pack has always disowned their pack members who found a non-werewolf mate. Obviously, you can't disown the Alpha when he does though." Tyler looked at Lilly with very serious eyes. "They were wrong how they treated you. There is nothing wrong with you. They made you think that you were weird and inferior. Now, let's take that damn necklace off." Tyler reached towards her and ripped the chain off of her neck. He used his wolf strength to crumble it away, disgusted with it. How dare they make her wear something like that.

Lilly was stunned. He had ripped the necklace off of her so fast before she could even object to it. On top of that, her big secret really wasn't that big. She had been holding it deep inside. It had plagued her every day. She was made to feel like an outcast. And now she is being told that it was just the way her pack was and that it was her pack that wasn't normal.

She was told before that it would take a day for her powers to come to light after the necklace was gone. So, she was not surprised that she did not feel any different. Except that her neck felt weird in its absence. She reached up and touched her bare neck. Tyler watched her feeling her neck. She was not used to not having anything there. His eyes wandered down her neck. It was bare now and completely unmarked... but not for long.
