Demon War: Rise of the Alpha Chapter 57

"You guys are not going to say anything I take it." Tristan sighed and glanced back towards the pack house with a frown.

"There are no guarantees. And you know some things you are meant to find out for yourself. Just because I was given a premonition doesn't mean I should do something about it. Not that anything can be done about this. This will have to happen the way I have seen." Lilly stopped walking. "I just don't know how it is going to end. I only got a glimpse. Whatever the goddess is planning she is trying to keep our sight blocked from it. Even my mother isn't able to see past a certain point."

"It has me concerned. What does she want of our children?" Tyler growled in agitation.

"You mean besides putting them in danger?" Tristan let out an angry puff of breath. His hot breath created a white cloud of fog in front of him.

Lilly looked down at the ground. "I'm sure she has her reasons. I have faith in the moon goddess." Lilly turned and looked at Tyler. "After all she gave me you."

Tyler smiled and nodded his head. "I'm sure there is a reason for the visions you and your mother have been getting. We will know more when we are meant to. And this must be another part of the future our family is supposed to take charge of. I just hope they can do what the goddess wants them to do."

"It's hard to believe she can't do it herself. Instead, she is risking your children's lives." Tristan growled in annoyance as he grabbed onto the hippogryph.

"The connection Rhea has with Titus is needed. And then the connection between Wyatt and Rhea is needed. The three of them are the key to her plan. The problem is there is nothing halfway about it. Either they succeed or they will be lost forever." Lilly hopped onto her hippogryph and looked at the pack house in the distance. "We aren't going to worry them over it. Let's just keep working on what we are doing. Maybe Tyler and I can take their place."

"We won't give up while we have time. We will get right back to studying in the archives when we get back." Tyler kicked his feet into the hippogryph and the three took to the sky. They had a lot of research to do and were running out of time.

Wyatt sat the phone down and then poured himself another cup of coffee. He had just gotten off of the phone with Reed and had gotten a full report on the Briar coven. They have finally had a few days of quiet. A week to be exact. And he was finally able to talk with about everything that had happened with the witches.

"Is everything okay?" Freya asked as he took a seat.

"Yeah, they have elected a new leader now. It turns out that everyone involved has been taken care of. There is only one that is unaccounted for. It is Meryl's granddaughter. And from the description Reed had given me it is the same child that had injected me with the blood potion." Wyatt's silver eyes looked over to Freya. "They are not sure where the girl had been hidden away at. However, I am not worried. She is just a child. I'm sure she will not be a problem for us."

Freya sipped her coffee. "She was just doing what she was told. I hope wherever she is she is able to live a normal life now."

"Jin are you sure you are alright? I could have brought you breakfast in bed." Jason frowned at Jin who was happily eating a bagel beside him.

Ciana giggled and shook her head along with Freya. Jason had been nonstop worrying over Jin.

"Jason, let the poor girl eat. She needs to eat for her and the cub she is growing inside of her." Wyatt chuckled and shook his head.

"I don't want to hear it. I know you will be even more protective over Freya." Jason snorted and looked back at Jin.

"Jason I am fine. Now please. Like your brother said, let me eat." Jin giggled and swatted her hand at Jason.

Jason sighed and then looked up to Wyatt and Freya. "You sure we shouldn't go and hunt down this child? Take care of her now before she becomes a problem." He was already in overprotective father mode now.

Wyatt chuckled. "I didn't even think you were listening with how concentrated you were on Jin. No, I think we don't have to worry about it. Besides, the covens are still looking for her. They will probably find her. She is only a child."

Renee trotted into the pack house with Sam next to her. "Okay so we are soooo throwing a baby shower for you. It is going to be so much fun. I can't wait to go shopping for the new little bundle. Susan and I were just looking at baby stuff and I am beyond excited." Renee sat down next to Jin as Sam chuckled.

"Any excuse to shop." Sam chuckled and then looked up to Wyatt.

The sun was shining brightly as the wind blew through, her silver hair. Her sapphire eyes smiled as she looked at the familiar territory in front of her.

"Oh my goodness I am so excited. Hurry Lee!" Rhea squealed as she rode on top of a blue dragon.

Lee chuckled as he continued to flap his wings. To his side was another red dragon that was carrying two other passengers.

"Thank you for coming with us Titus." Rhea grinned as she looked over at the red dragon.

"Lila is back with Dex anyways. Besides it is safer for you if we travel together. We know that mate of yours slacks on the job." Titus grinned as the blue dragon growled lowly.

"I can't wait to see the look on Jason and Wyatt's face when we get there!" Cody held Kelsie close to his side. He couldn't wait to tell his brothers about his mate and that he was going to be a daddy.

"Cody look! There is the pack territory. We are here, we are here." Rhea squealed as she bounced around.

"Hold still Rhea. The last thing I need is you falling off." Lee flapped downwards and soared towards an open area below him. He could see werewolves that were sparring suddenly stop and gawk upwards as they descended.

"Wyatt!" The doors to the pack house busted open and revealed a panting Winston. "Rhea is here!" He breathed out heavily.

"Wait? What?!" Wyatt jumped up to his feet with a wide grin.

"Her and Cody just landed at the upper training ground." Winston smiled at Wyatt and Jason's childlike excitement.

Rhea looked up towards the packhouse and saw Wyatt run out. She squealed and took off towards him. He opened his arms and she leaped into his arms. He twirled her around while she began to let liquid crystals drop from her face. "I missed you so much." She sniffed into his chest.

Cody grinned and pulled his brother Jason into a big hug. "You're looking weak." Cody teased as he hugged his brother tight.

Jason chuckled. "I'm not the one who died. I swear if you ever die again..." Jason choked out the last part. He felt so much relief holding his brother in his arms.

Wyatt lowered Rhea and then the siblings switched.

"Ray Ray! Look at my perfect little sister." Jason hoisted her into his chest and gave her a bear hug.

Wyatt pulled Cody into a big hug. "You scared me to death."

Jason lowered Rhea down to her feet. Over his shoulder she noticed Freya. "Oh, my goodness. Freya! You look amazing!" Rhea walked up to her and pulled her into a hug.

"By the way. I'd like to introduce you to my mate." Wyatt said with a smirk. He then walked back to Freya and Rhea. He placed his arm around Freya and grinned. "Meet my luna... oh and my queen. I am now the werewolf king. You know... you didn't miss much." Wyatt chuckled as Rhea began jumping up and down squealing.

"Yeah, now we are really sisters." Rhea giggled.

"Well guess you are yesterday's news, Levi. How does it feel to be leftovers?" Titus elbowed Levi who rolled his eyes.

Wyatt looked up then. He recognized Leviathan but not the other man. He also noticed Kelsie who was standing a few feet behind Cody.

"Oh I'm sorry." Rhea giggled. "I still love you both." Rhea motioned for them both to come closer. "Of course you know my Lee, who I'm sure you heard from mom and dad that he is my mate. And this is Titus the dragon king of the west. He is also my soul twin and our adopted new brother."

"He isn't so bad once you get past the stench." Kelsie giggled and Cody chuckled and reached his arm out to her. She walked into him shyly at the same time another person with green hair walked into Jason's side.

"You've got a mate too?"

"You've got a mate too?"

Jason and Cody said at the same time. They were both looking at each other in shock.

"Well there is more too..." Jason said with a smile and Cody's eyes grew even wider.

"Don't tell me she is pregnant too?!" Cody said in shock.

"Too?! You mean...?" Jason said awe struck.

"Oh my goodness. I get to be an auntie times two?!?! And I didn't even get to meet Jason's mate yet." Rhea bounced over to Jin and wrapped her arms around her. "I'm Rhea."

"You can call me Jin." Jin giggled Rhea had energy that matched hers.

"You see?! This is what happens when we take forever to see each other. Everyone has mates, Cody is dying and resurrecting and there are two new family members being cooked up. Wait there are only two right?" Wyatt said as he eyed Rhea suspiciously. Rhea giggled. "Nothing cooking on my end. You Freya?" She looked at the girl with auburn hair who held her hands up and shook her head no.

Wyatt then looked to Lee. "I know we've met and all but you are mated to my sister now. So I feel like we should have a chat." Wyatt and Jason both pulled serious expressions as they looked at Lee.

"Boy you sure know how to make friends." Titus gave Levi a crooked smile.

"You are acting awfully brave for someone I could burn to a crisp in seconds." Lee lifted his brow towards Titus.

"Rhea! Levi is threatening me." Titus then beamed widely; he lifted his head towards Rhea expecting her to scold Levi. His eyes drifted behind her to a girl with black hair and caramel skin. The smile on his face vanished as he analyzed the girl and her aura. She was a dragon.

Lee also followed Titus' gaze and landed on the girl. "Guess you don't have to go searching for her after all." Lee said quietly to Titus.

"What am I missing here?" Rhea looked to the girl that was now walking up towards them.

"It's the girl that Grandpa Sage wanted us to find." Titus said as the girl's brown eyes met with his.

"Oh, she is the luck dragon?" Rhea turned and smiled at the girl. "We have actually been looking for you."

"Your parents did a good job hiding you away." Titus chuckled and shook his head. He had thought that he wouldn't find her.

Jin frowned. "What do you want with her?" She was worried about her friend.

"Oh don't worry. We aren't going to hurt her." Rhea said soothingly to Jin. She didn't want her new sister to get upset especially since she was pregnant. "It is just the luck dragon has a special healing wind. Isn't that right?" Rhea looked up to the girl. Ciana nodded her head slowly.

"When she was born her parents fled my kingdom. They were afraid she would be misused or stolen because of her rare gifts. White dragons are rare which is why we call them luck dragons. They usually all have special gifts. Hers specifically is a healing wind she can create." Titus looked at the girl. "Which Grandpa Sage said would be helpful in the upcoming war."

"What is your name?" Rhea asked, seeing the nervous eyes of the girl.

"Ciana."

"Well Ciana. We aren't going to force you into doing anything. I know those two can look intimidating, but they are great people. It is a request that you can feel free to turn down." Rhea said sweetly.

Freya smiled and leaned into Wyatt. Rhea was a very kind person. Seeing her again reminded her how much she cared about Rhea. And now it all made sense why she was connected to her back then. They were able to feel connected to each other because she was destined to be Wyatt's mate.

"I'll do whatever I can to help in the upcoming war." Ciana looked up to Rhea who smiled at her.

"Speaking of the demon war..." Wyatt said, directing the attention on him. "The vampires will also be aiding in the battle."

Levi looked at Wyatt. "The vampires have been around through the ages. What was agreed upon for them to join in the war?"

"We are forming a treaty between the werewolves and the vampires. We will be uniting our kind through blood." Wyatt looked into the light cool blue eyes of the deity in front of him.

Levi nodded his head. "A unity between your children."
