Darkness approached in the distance very slowly. As if a shadow had been cast down on the earth. Th no fear for they had a lord of darkness with them. Even in the distance, behind the demon swarm, his gathering against him. His ancient evil was one they could all feel in their bones. It was a presence that Lee looked at his opponent and shifted into his blue colossal dragon. He glared defiantly at Mephisto looking off in the distance as well. He was expecting for her to tremble or to see fear in her eyes. Who "That isn't who all the fuss is about right?" Rhea teased during this serious moment. Wyatt turned around and faced the werewolves. "We know the enemy is strong. But so are we. Some one not going to be making the trip back home. We already understand this. But we are the last line of defense. We are the ones who are standing between the demons and our homes; our packs that are depending on us to be victorious. It is our responsibility to not have to worry about not being able to fill our bloodlust. There are plenty of enemies to s*******. demons have come for our future..." Wyatt turned and faced the demons. "Well then... let them come a Freya walked up to his side and ran her fingers through his fur as they stared at the demons. His fur w angry roars ripped through the demons in a rippling chorus. She lifted her head up and looked out at their destiny. "How in the hell did they get that many hellhounds?!" Jason said as he walked up by Freya's side.

Jason said and then allowed his bear form to take over. He let out a loud roar which was echoed by two other guardians in the distance. Both Tristan and Cody echoed Jason's roar.

That was a pretty good speech. I couldn't have done better than that. Our son even has me all pumped up. Tyler linked to Lilly. Jax and Kira stood side by side as they took to the front in front of the fairies. Tristan's bear was also at their side. Ready to fight another hellhound? Jax wagged his tail as he looked up at Tristan.

There are a lot of witch doctors out there. The demons have come very magically prepared. Let's hope Reed's group can handle them. Kira shifted her toes in the dirt as she prepared herself for the fight. It has been a while and she was relishing the opportunity to show what she can do once again.

The demons suddenly halted. They started banging their weapons against their shields or stomping their feet to intimidate the army in front of them. It was as if the gates of hell had opened up and all of their minions had gathered here. There wasn't an evil creature missing. There were servants of hell, large powerful Oni's everywhere, witch doctors, goblins, imps, ogres, trolls, dragons, wolves, wraiths, hell hounds and various other demons. An impressive demon army of monsters were facing off against the defenders of Elysium.

Mephisto looked at Leoric and nodded his head. "The red dragon is the other Gemini twin. Make sure he and the fairy survive. The rest... annihilate them."

Leoric nodded his head and made his way to the front of the army. He looked out in the distance at their adversaries. It would be a tough battle, but once Leviathan was taken care of, victory would be theirs. "Leave the big red dragon and his rider alive. Those are your only stipulations. Kill the rest freely." He then turned and smirked. "To death or victory but no matter what it ends here."

The demons bellowed loudly and started making grunting chants. They pounded their weapons and stomped their feet. The earth trembled around them and towards the opposing army. Leoric looked over the army in front of him until his eyes set on a large silver wolf in the front of the werewolves. He had been looking for a challenge. He thought perhaps a dragon but seeing the commanding silver wolf he knew. That was the challenge he was looking for. He grinned and shifted into a large brown demon with brown wings. Almost looking like an oversized gargoyle. He screeched loudly and swung his arm forward. The two armies charged towards one another...

*CRASH*

Jin looked down at the plate she had dropped on the floor. It had shattered into dozens of pieces. She started to bend down but a heavy hand landed on her shoulder.

"I'll clean it up." Harley said and gently eased her away from the glass.

"You are not at all how I pictured." Kelsie said as she walked up to Jin.

Harley took a small brush and started sweeping the glass into a dustpan. "I think a lot of us are not how we are pictured." He tilted his head up and looked at Kelsie. "A tame kelpie? A dark fairy who feasts on human flesh."

"Eeew don't make me sick. I'm pregnant too, remember." Kelsie held her hand over her mouth. "We might kill people, but we absolutely don't feast on their flesh. Yuck."

Harley stood up and emptied the contents in the trash. "And I just happen to be a modern demon who loves being a businessman. I enjoy the kill of taking out another business more than actual killing."

"Do you think the battle has started?" Jin asked quietly.

Kelsie bit her bottom lip and walked over placing her arm around Jin. "Let's try not to think about it."

"Right. Why don't you two ladies go in there and make yourselves comfortable. I'll whip up some chocolate chip pancakes for the two of you. Of course... I am mainly doing this to spoil my growing mate." Harley cleared his throat a bit while both girls gave him crooked smiles.

"He must think we are naïve." Kelsie said with an amused tone.

"It's okay Harley. We won't tell anyone that you really care." Jin giggled. "Let's find a feel-good movie to watch."

Harley grabbed the milk and eggs out of the refrigerator. He looked up and smiled at the two girls as they walked away. Maybe he was quite uncharacteristic for the son of an original demon. But he didn't care. And from the moment he met Jin there was only one thing that mattered to him. And that was being the person his mate needed him to be. He would be everything for her.

He turned his head and looked out the window at the rising sun. He had his spies watching. He would know the outcome as soon as it was decided. For now... all they could do was wait. He grabbed an egg and tapped it on the counter.

*Crack*

The sound of a neck cracking echoed loudly in Lilly's ears as Kira tossed the dead body to the side. Her wolf and Tyler's were fighting side by side while Tristan barreled in deeper. He was fighting against one of the hellhounds just like Cody and Jason were. As another demon came closer Suzaku flew down and engulfed the goblin with fire.

Tyler looked over towards each of his children trying to keep tabs on all of them, but he was interrupted again as a demon wolf closed in on him. It was mass chaos. The air was saturated in the smell of blood that was also pooling over the earth. This was nothing like he had ever seen before. Even when he was younger the war that claimed his parents was nothing like this. There were so many fighting on both sides that every side was getting engulfed by the other. Just when you killed one enemy another was stepping in front of you to take their place. It seemed and felt never-ending.

The wolf lunged forward at Tyler's wolf Jax. Jax leaped into him and collided full force into the demon wolf. He put everything he had into this. He was trying to kill as many demons as he could in order to clear a path. He was worried. His son Wyatt was fighting against a powerful demon. As Jax clamped his jaw around the demon wolf its blood splatter over him and then began to pool over the ground. He dropped the wolf and glanced over towards Wyatt. What in the world...

Freya blurred over the demons in front of her. Slice. Dash. Cut. Stab. Dice. The bodies began falling. Every foe she met was swiftly annihilated. Immediately when the demons collided with her and Wyatt they were separated. Freya recognized the demon Leoric as he faced off against Wyatt's wolf Blaze. She was fighting trying to get to him. But the demons kept coming. It was as if they instantly respawned after she killed them. She could see Wyatt. He was within ten feet of her but they were separated by bodies fighting against the other.

Freya. Ember replied calmly. Project part of me out. Let me help.

What is this new energy bubbling inside of me? Is it you? Freya threw two stakes into demons who were running towards her and spun, slicing two more demons. Their blood splattered over her face before their bodies dropped to the ground.

Your fairy magic is morphing together and creating a stronger power of your own. Of our own. Trust it. And use it. This way we can fight together.

Freya grasped onto the light inside of her. And with force, she pushed it forward with Ember. It was a strange feeling at first. She could feel herself almost evolve. Her and Ember were one. A flame flickered around her body and over her hands gripping the daggers. Immediately demons were being injured as they came closer. She had no time to marvel at herself. Her thought was protecting Wyatt and getting to him.

She started pushing her way through the army, repelling them with her flaming shield. As she got closer to Wyatt she gripped her dagger tighter.

Her eyes widened and for a split second she seemed stunned. How did I do that?
