Chapter 78

No... it can't be. He promised me... he promised he would always be there for me. We were supposed to have another movie night. No... No... I can't believe it... It hurts too much to believe it.

To hell with all of them. She pushed out of Tristan's arms. Her body ached as it steadied itself on the ground. It was protesting as she tried to manage her weak legs.

"You all can go. You can give up. I won't... I can't... I need him." Lilly met her gaze with the sympathizing ones she was getting. They all thought he was dead. She couldn't help the fury that was igniting inside of her.

"You are the Diamond Packs Luna! Right now, they need you. They need you to help them mourn for the loss of their Alpha." Ethan commanded with his Alpha voice. He was trying to shake his daughter. Instead, she met him with a challenge.

He would not use his Alpha tone on her. She already had an Alpha. It was her mate, and he was out there somewhere. He had to be. They had two boys waiting for him to come home... a daughter who he still needs to meet.

"Lilly... for how long? How long do you need to search before you will understand? Staying here and searching what can't be searched for won't change anything..." Ethan softened his voice trying to reason with her.

"So... you are telling me that Abaddon took his body?" Lilly glared at her father as she watched him shake his head.

"Then I am going into the depths of hell to bring it back." Lilly narrowed her eyes at her father as he shook his head no.

"You can't. You can't go there. You will never get out. They'll keep you there." Ethan adamantly refused her. She couldn't go there.

"What if they took Tyler alive?!" Lilly gasped out wondering if that was exactly what happened.

Ethan was quiet and then rested his eyes on her sadly. "If they have him there... then, he is theirs now."

"Would this be your answer if they had taken me?!" Lilly growled back.

"Yes, there is no saving you from there." Alice answered quietly.

Lilly smirked. Tyler would go there for her. She knew he would. "I'm not like you. Any of you. I don't care where I have to go or what opponent I have to face. If Tyler is there... then I am going after him."

"In your condition?! What can you do? You can't do anything." Ethan yelled angrily at his stubborn daughter.

"You guys are awful quiet... what are you thinking? Thinking of abandoning Tyler too?" Lilly snapped at Tristan, Kade and Cedric.

"I'd never abandon Tyler. NEVER! This... this is different Lills. The Diamond Pack needs you. You have to come back to them." Kade quieted his tone towards the end.

"If Tyler thought I had been taken... what would he do?" Lilly raised her eyes to Kade. She knew damn well what Tyler would do. He would try to come for her.

"Lilly. There is no way Tyler would have been taken alive... there would have been signs of a struggle." Cedric said softly.

"Tristan..." Lilly's voice was but a defeated whisper.

He stared at her. He couldn't just give up on Tyler either. Even if it was hopeless. He would walk into hell if it meant retrieving his body to put him to rest.

"I'll follow you. Wherever you go. I'll go and retrieve his body so that he can rest in peace... but I want you to stay here. I can't lose you both." Tristan meant it. He may not return from the demon's lair... but he would give his life trying. Thank goodness she had Tristan.

"Kade... I order you to return to the Diamond pack and perform the duties as Alpha in charge. Cedric, you can return to your mates' side until you both can join the Diamond pack." Lilly looked at the two men who hesitated without moving. "GO!" Lilly boomed her Luna voice at them. Forcing them to obey her.

"Lilly..." Alice started.

"Mom... you need to trust me. Tyler and I have a destiny. I refuse to believe that was all we were meant to do. My body may be weak, but I am going to push it. I wasn't born with all of this power for nothing." Lilly set a determined gaze on Tristan. She had an idea. "Kade... Cedric... wait before leaving." Lilly saw the two stop and wait.

Kira... we are still connected to Jax aren't we? Just because we can't feel him... It would be different if he was dead... right?

HE'S NOT DEAD! Kira growled back loudly. Lilly had Kira on her side too. Then let's find him.

Suzaku... I need you to lend me your strength... She heard her screech in approval. She was going to try something. She was going to try to force find him. He was her mate... no... her soul mate. That meant their souls were connected. She was going to try to find him through her souls' connection.

"Tristan... I need to borrow your strengths... Mom... yours too." Lilly reached out and held onto both Tristan and her mother. Her mother was the key. The two of them together could unleash extraordinary abilities. Now that she was there... she could try what she had been hoping to try.

Alice didn't hesitate. If there was some way her power could help her daughter, then she would give it to her.

Lilly closed her eyes. She drew power from Tristan, from her mother, from Kira and from Suzaku. She connected it to herself. Linking it to her soul. The soul that should be connected to Tyler. It was quiet though. She didn't like how quiet it was. They were going to hate her for what she was going to do next. She didn't care though. She didn't care if this would be her end. She would go to Tyler. In a brilliant flash; she was gone.

Alice stood there blinking before cupping her hand over her mouth. "Oh no... Oh no."

"She used our strength to teleport herself to his body." Tristan growled angrily. He couldn't lose them both and she disappeared where he couldn't follow. He fell to his knees and grasped at the ground. This was too much for him to bear.

She saw a dark blue hue. She was in a cave. The soft trickling of water was heard as it dripped into a body of water. Where was she? Tyler... He should be here. She teleported to him. She pulled her wolf senses forward in order to see in the dark. There in the distance was a body, in dark blue clothes, laying up against the stone wall. Her breath caught in her throat. She could smell him. But more importantly... she could hear him. She could hear his breath. She mustered her strength to go to his side. Collapsing on her knees beside him. She pressed her hands on him and rolled him over. He looked fine. Her movements must have startled him though. He jumped up and stared at her. She watched as he raised a shaky hand up to her face. He looked shocked to see it make contact with her.

"Lills? You are really here?" Tyler's voice croaked out.

"Tyler!" Lilly swung her arms around him as his crashed around her. She started sobbing. The sobs that she wouldn't let come before. The sadness from thinking she may have lost him. "They all said you were dead... I wouldn't quit looking for you though. They tried to make me. I knew you weren't dead. I couldn't feel you... I couldn't mind link to you..."

"Shhh... baby. I'm okay. You're okay. I have been so worried about you. I couldn't get back to you. I have been sick wondering how you have been. How you managed in the fight... and then how you were holding up without me near you... I have been a mental wreck. I guess we were too far apart to be able to mind link and feel the other. Thank goodness you're okay." He planted soft kisses all over her tear-soaked face.

"Where is this place?" Lilly asked looking around wiping her eyes. How far away was he if they couldn't connect together?

"It's underwater. When I went over the falls I was dragged under. I was pulled and then left in this cave by a siren. There were clothes laying in the cave, so I found some that fit and threw them on. Not sure who they belonged to before...heh. But, we are completely underwater in a cave. I can't find my way out. I tried. For some reason, the siren keeps stopping me from leaving."

"Is that so? Pfft. Sounds like she was trying to keep you for herself..." Lilly crawled over to the water muttering angry words under her breath.

"Lilly what are you doing?" Tyler asked in concern.

"Calling for reinforcements..." Lilly dipped her head into the water and yelled "ROWAN." Her muffled watery shout hardly made any noise, but she knew he would hear her. She then lifted her head back out of the water. SPLASH

The loud sound of water lifting and falling onto rocks was heard. And there in front of them was Rowan. He shifted into his human form and a huge grin spread across his face.

"Hot damn you found him Lills! Atta girl" Rowan walked up and lifted Tyler to his feet and embraced him in an awkward hug for Tyler. Everyone was thinking he was dead, so this reaction was natural for them. Tyler on the other hand had only met this guy once... "He said a siren has been keeping him here." Lilly's irritated voice rang out. Because of this siren, she had been suffering for days.

Rowans eyes turned black. Black as night. There was no color as he turned an icy gaze to Lilly. "Is that so... so she thought she could keep the fairy prince here as her personal toy? Well, well, well. She is about to learn the hard way what happens when you cross a Kelpie."

"When did you guys get so close?" Tyler chuckled nervously at the ominous aura the horse was letting off.

"Rowan and his mate Liza came to our aid. They helped fight off the imps and wolves. Then, they have been searching for you tirelessly since then. Heh... it's a good thing I found you this way. I was getting ready to walk into hell, thinking Abaddon took you." "WHAT?!" Tyler and Rowan both yelled.

Lilly gave a grin and shrugged. "I don't give a damn where I would have to go. If you have my mate, I am coming for you. No matter where that would lead me. Tristan was going to come too. He was the only other one who hadn't given up." "Geez Lilly. Never ever just be willing to walk into the demon's hands." Tyler rubbed his forehead. She almost went into danger thinking he was there.

"How did you get here?" Rowan looked at Lilly with some confusion.

"I teleported. I borrowed some power from my mom and Tristan, and I used my link with Tyler to teleport to wherever his body was." Lilly walked up to Tyler and felt his arms come around her. "I wasn't sure if it would work, but I had to try to get to him." "Don't do that ever again. If I am in danger, I don't want you coming to me." Tyler scolded her...though inwardly he was glad she was there. He wasn't sure how he was going to make it out of there. The only escape he could find was underwater and every time he tried the siren ended up showing up. He could only hold his breath for so long. He was trapped.

"Oh... so if I am in danger, you wouldn't come for me?" Lilly looked up at him with a grin. She already knew what the answer to that was.

He grinned down at her and kissed her forehead. He knew he would scale the cliffs of hell in order to protect Lilly. "Okay Rowan... can you get us out of here?"
