Cora's POV

We made it home in record time with Collin driving and he carried me across the threshold and then gave me a kiss before slowly lowering me down his body. Collin had been raring to go since I had to unzip my dress, in the area that I had gotten dressed in, to nurse the babies before we got to leave the venue to start our honeymoon. We were heading to the airfield at 3 am, and it would not have been nice to drop them off at that time, plus mom and dad have been missing them since we moved out. I left their cribs there for when the babies spent the night, Collin had bought the babies new baby beds for our new home. Collin gives me a more passionate kiss and I go upstairs. Collin stops me by pulling back on my arm and leading me to the dining room. This is unusual because, with the babies here, we usually just go up to our room, so they are always close to us. Collin stops me, unzips my dress, and helps me slide it off my body while running his thumbs down my sides as he guides the dress slowly down my body. Collin promptly takes my underwear off of me and then sits me on the edge of the dining room table and tells me to lay back as he kneels down on the floor and places my legs onto his shoulders. Two Weeks Later

Collin and I came back from Paris after having a wonderful week there. We basically stayed in the apartment and only went out to eat once or twice a day. I would cook one of the meals there. We would decide each day what we would like to eat, and I would cook the meal we didn't want to go out for.

We had a great time getting to spend time together and on the last night we again took the moonlight cruise on the water, but this time we didn't take any photos and sat in the back of the boat and Collin kissed me stupid like he promised he would do one day. It was a wonderful memory, but I miss my babies and we both needed to come back. The first court date was coming up the week after we came back and Nicolas and Livi were chomping at the bit to get at her for all the difficulties that she had caused both me and Collin. I, for one, was really looking forward to getting it over with too.

We sit behind Nicolas and Livi at their table. Nicolas will do the talking for Collin, but if they need something from me, Livi is there to represent me as she took a lot of the videos where they showed Maddie knowing right from wrong and choosing not to assault me with witnesses present, and when she instigated me being assaulted at the mall when I was 6 months pregnant by lying and getting the group of women riled up to where I got assaulted.

Collin was sitting next to me on the aisle when the far door opened and Maddie walked in with her ankles shackled and handcuffed. She smiled at Collin like she was glad that he had come, and was going to help her, and then she saw me sitting next to him, and acted calm until she got to the swinging doors separating the lawyer's and judge's area, from where the public gallery seating where we were sitting and attempted to run to attack me with Collin putting his body in the way so she couldn't get to me and her screaming that she was going to kill me and the officer tried to reach his radio to call for backup. The judge had been coming out as Maddie was crossing the room and watched her come to attack me, as well as how it took three men to pull her back. Her family did not come in support as she had written them off long ago.

As they took her to the table where her new public defender sat, Maddie was screaming that she was going to kill me when she got out of jail, over and over again, with her public defender trying to calm her, but she was not listening to him at all. The judge had to tell her to stop, or she wouldn't be back in court for another few months for contempt before she finally stopped. Maddie kept looking back and glaring at me, and she was scary, with her face not perfect anymore, as you could tell her nose had been broken and reset, but since she can't get plastic surgery, she is marred for life now from where I punched her after she stabbed Collin.

The public defender tried to ask for a continuation for him to look at all the information, but Nicolas countered advising that he has had a month and a half to look at it, and it isn't going to change the facts of the case. The judge agreed and the trial started. The FBI Agent, Jack Coats, was called up and spoke about being informed about the Blackmail, Extortion, and Sextortion charges that he had brought forth against Maddie. The phone taps where we all heard her calling the five reports, known for being aggressive and sicing them on me so I could get hurt. They played the videos from Collin's apartment where it shows several times her knowing right from wrong, so the insanity plea was thrown out. It also showed that she was sure I was pregnant and sent the reporters after me hoping that I would have a miscarriage from being knocked around by the assaulting reporters that she sent my way. We also had sworn statements from all five of the reporters who said that she had given them all of the information that they were asking me about, which was all incorrect and inflammatory. We had the videos of them approaching me as I entered my home and then coming in uninvited to assault me and barrage and harangue me with the lies Maddie had told them. They showed the video of her about to hit me at the restaurant before she noticed that she was being recorded by several people. Me being assaulted at 6 months pregnant at the mall when she again incited people with lies. Collin was called up to testify as well. Maddie got angry and called him a liar when he said that he had never loved her. He admitted that she had blackmailed him into buying her an engagement ring, clothing, shoes, purses, and spending almost $50,000 in the 8 months that they were "together" on shopping trips, forcing him to spend more and more as she got angrier because he refused to sleep with her. Maddie was now full-on staring at me and glaring and the bailiff came to stand near me to protect me while Collin was on the stand. Collin answered just what they asked and no more. I was glad that they had the video of her threatening to upload the video to p**n sites to make her money when he told her he was done. The judge watched me at the end of the runway as Maddie ran up to attack me and me backing away from her, as she attacked and knocked out the off-duty detective, who was also there to testify against her. Collin was questioned about his being stabbed. The emergency room doctor was there to tell the judge how close Collin was to dying that day and I couldn't keep the tears contained hearing what the doctor said. I was called up to testify with Maddie threatening me as I passed by her table. The Judge warned her the last time as I was questioned by the Judge, public defender, and Nicolas about all that I had gone through. I kept calm and answered only what they asked. The judge also asked about our children, and I smiled then and told him that they were wonderful. He knew that the attack on both myself and Collin getting stabbed caused me to go into early labor from the stress.

"I swear to you, Cora, when I get out of here, I will get out of here. I am going to kill both you and those bastard children of yours too", Maddie said with venom in her voice. Maddie is absolutely evil and I shudder to think what would have happened if she hadn't been caught. I would have been looking over my shoulder for the rest of my life, or until she got caught. The Judge only took about 5 minutes in his chambers to come back with a guilty verdict and gave Maddie 110 years without parole until she had served at least half of them. The attempted murder of two people was what carried the most weight, as well as her having me assaulted when she knew I was pregnant, as well as inciting people against me with lies on those two occasions. The judge gave her the maximum years for all the charges against her, as he mentioned that he firmly believed that she would come after me and the children, or the whole family if she were let out any earlier than that.

Maddie screamed out in frustration and again attempted to come at me with Collin taking me to the end of our aisle, and the Bailiff pulled her back away from me. You could hear her screaming about the fact that "I am going to kill Cora when I get out. Her and those bastard children. I hate her!! I hate her!! I am going to kill her; she can't escape my wrath" until she was finally far enough away from us that we couldn't hear her anymore.
