Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan) -
Chapter 1612
Chapter 1612
Jonathan's Facebook page was getting more and more lively, while Estelle sat quietly, reading the comments,
She considering to send Jonathan a message, suggesting he might want to delete the post.
Magdalen looked up, grinning, "What's making you so happy on your phone?"
Estelle set her phone aside, giving a faint smile and shook her head, "Nothing."
Magdalen stood up, saying, "I'm going to the restroom. You guys carry on with your meal, just make sure to save me some of that wine."
Kevin chimed in, "If you like this wine, I can buy you a couple of cases to take home."
"We'll see when I get back!" Magdalen replied, letting out a chuckle before leaving.
After Magdalen left, Kevin rose from his seat, "I'll go get the waiter and have them pack up those wine cases."
"Okay!" Estelle responded with a nod.
Kevin left the private dining room, and sought out a waiter, instructing him to pack up two cases of wine.
The waiter grinned and asked, "Our wine comes in gift boxes, with two-bottles in each. Would you like two of these?"
"That works!" Kevin agreed.
"Please wait a moment."
Kevin waited outside the private room for Magdalen.
A few minutes later, when Magdalen returned, Kevin eagerly approached her, "Magdalen!"
She turned to him, surprised, "Why are you out here too?"
Kevin looked at her with anticipation, "After we finish, would you like to come to my place to watch the finals? It should be an exciting match!" Magdalen replied, "Morrison will come to pick me up later, so I probably can't make it today."
Kevin's eyes flickered with disappointment as he tentatively asked, "Magdalen, a few days ago, there was some entertainment news about Morrison leaving a hotel with a young star in the middle of the night. He doesn't seem to care about you, why do you still stay with him?"
Magdalen's smile faded slightly as she replied, "That young girl is a new artist in his company. She had an issue with a film producer and called Morrison for help in the middle of the night. I was with him, and waited in the car outside."
Kevin laughed awkwardly, "I see!"
Magdalen added, "Kevin, we share common interests, and we can be friends. But I don't want to talk about my personal affairs with you, okay?"
A shadow of disappointment crossed Kevin's handsome face, "Magdalen, if it was Estelle asking, you wouldn't get mad, right? In my heart, we're friends who can talk about anything!"
Magdalen responded, "You're overthinking it, nobody can compare to Ella!"
Kevin chuckled in disbelief, "Magdalen, are you kidding me?"
She shrugged, "Believe what you like!"
After saying that, she turned and walked back into the dining room. Kevin nervously caught up, "Magdalen, are you upset?"
"Not at all!" Magdalen said while she quickened her pace.
Without thinking, Kevin grabbed her wrist, "Magdalen, listen to me!"
She shook him off, turning back with a furrowed brow, "Kevin, you're not falling for me, are you?"
Caught off guard, Kevin immediately shook his head, "No, I see you as a friend!"
Magdalen let out a sigh of relief, "Good!"
Seeing her relief, Kevin felt a twinge of disappointment but managed a frank smile, "Magdalen, we're friends, and 1 see you as my sister. Don't misinterpret my concern!" With a twinkle in her eyes, Magdalen replied, "I must have been overreacted. Forget about it!"
"So, you're not upset anymore?"
"Do I seem that petty in your eyes?" Magdalen laughed heartily, giving him a friendly pat on the shoulder, "Let's go back!"
As Magdalen turned to walk back, she spotted a man trying to take her picture. Unable to hide in time, he was caught in the act and quickly ducked the corner of the stair. "Come out!" Magdalen yelled, dashing towards him.
Kevin taken aback and asked, "What's wrong?"
