"Ah?" Estelle's eyes widened in surprise as she looked up.

Jonathan spoke with a relaxed tone, "My folks called this morning, said they were going to visit granddad and asked if we wanted to tag along. I told them you were still catching some Z's, and there was no need to wait for us."

The disbelief on Estelle's face grew, "Why didn't you wake me? Isn't that kind of rude?"

Jonathan chuckled softly, "Rude? Is it more important than your beauty sleep? Besides, it's all in the family. They adore you as much as granddad does!"

Estelle felt that courtesy mattered, especially in front of the elders, but what was done was done. She casually inquired, "Did Geoffrey and the others need grandpa for something?"

"Of course, a very important matter!" Jonathan revealed.

Estelle pressed, "What's it about?"

"Our wedding plans!"

Estelle was speechless.

Tugging at Jonathan's wrist, she pleaded, "Can't we hold off until after the New Year?"

"No way," Jonathan dismissed the idea immediately. "You won't have to worry about the cold; I wouldn't let you freeze."

He adjusted the scarf on her coat, "I want all of J City to know that you're my wife!"

The eagerness he held had only increased after attending Magdalen's wedding.

Estelle, sensing his competitive streak, huffed, "You shouldn't be so competitive!"

Jonathan's smile was smug, "Do I need to compete with anyone?"

Estelle bit her lip and leaned in closer; glancing at the servants waiting nearby, she whispered, "Mr. Lamont, did you enjoy last night?"

Jonathan's eyes darkened and said in a husky voice, "Yeah."

"If you agree to a post-New Year wedding, I'll model any style you like, just for you," Estelle looked up, her eyes betraying a hidden blush but still shining through. Jonathan swallowed, and said in a rough voice, "Why does it have to be after the New Year?"

"I like it when spring is in bloom," Estelle's mind raced. "We met in spring, remember?"

He didn't want to agree, but her offer was too tempting.

He was torn, "I'll think about it."

Estelle added another condition, "We could start tonight!"

"Deal!" Jonathan conceded.

Estelle sighed in relief and, holding his hand, she walked towards the entrance, "Let's head in."

Jonathan tightened his grip on her hand and pulled out his phone, "You book it, or should I?"

"Book what?" Estelle was momentarily confused, then, catching his intense gaze, she turned flushed and stammered, "I-I'll do it!"

Jonathan nodded, "Make sure it's not half-hearted, or I'll retract my offer."

Estelle turned and blew a stray hair from her face, determined to do her best.

Terrence stood outside the gate, watching the figures who got out of the car walking towards the mansion. The man was hidden by the vehicle, but the girl looked familiar.

Estelle?

Terrence wasn't sure whether it was her.

The car belonged to the Lamont family. Was the Lamont family exploiting Estelle's connection as a protégé of Old Mr. Quintin to court favor with the Jarvis family?

Lost in wild speculation, Terrence moved to a secluded spot and dialed Bennett Macclain; he spoke urgently as the call connected, "Bring Simone to Old Mr. Quintin's place in N City, as soon as possible!"

Bennett's company was embroiled in issues with a batch of raw materials, leaving him frazzled. Hearing Old Mr. Jarvis's request, he frowned, "Head to Old Mr. Quintin's? What's this about?"

"Details later, just get over here," Terrence urged, "I'll wait for you."

"Alright, I'll call Simone right away," Bennett replied and hung up the phone.
