"It's happening in the next couple of days!"

"Does Xavier know?" Magdalen asked, her eyes blurry with tears.

"Nope. And I ain't planning on telling him either."

"Why not? If he knew, he'd definitely go with you. This is supposed to be between you two!"

"It's my problem!" Estelle insisted, her gaze unwavering. "Xavier almost lost his life once. I ain't letting him risk it again. I owe it to everyone!"

"By yourself?" Magdalen frowned. "How am I supposed to be okay with that?"

"I got someone who'll help!"

Seeing that she couldn't dissuade Estelle, Magdalen didn't say anything but just kept crying. Her heart ached terribly; it was like she could foresee what was going to happen.

"I'll be back. If anything goes south, keep it from Grandpa for me."

They sat together until sunset. After parting ways with Magdalen, Estelle went to see Jason.

She only mentioned that she needed to go on a long trip and would not be back soon. She asked him to pass on a message to Quintin. It saved her the trouble of going herself.

"Is it dangerous?" Jason asked, his brows furrowed.

Estelle nodded with a slight smile. "A bit risky, yeah."

"Can't you just not go? It's been so long since all that happened. Can't you let it go?"

"I'm letting go with this trip!" Estelle said, looking relaxed. "I've thought about it for so long. I need closure to move on!"

"You better come back. I'll be waiting."

"Sure!"

Estelle packed her bags. The day before her departure, she had a private meeting with Henson.

They met at the same restaurant where Henson treated her to a meal and asked her to pretend to be his parent for a school function.

Looking at the bodyguards standing outside the restaurant, she joked, "You think they'll snitch to Jonathan?"

"Who cares?" Henson said seriously, "You broke up with him, so what? We can't hang out?"

"You knew?"

Henson looked downcast, "Why though? Everything was fine. Why did you break up?"

"You'll understand when you're older. It's normal for men and women to date and then break up." Estelle reassured him, "Our relationship won't be affected by the breakup. Even though I'm not your tutor anymore, we're still friends. You can always come to me if you have trouble with your studies."

Henson grumbled in agreement, clearly not happy, "I still wish we could have been a family."

"Whoever Jonathan ends up with, will treat you well." Estelle comforted him, pulling out a deep-blue box tied with a black satin bow from her bag.

She placed the box in front of Henson, "This was meant to be Jonathan's birthday present. Could you give it to him for me when the time comes?" Henson picked up the box to inspect it, "Why don't you give it to him yourself?"

"I have to take a trip. I'm not sure if I can make it back before his birthday, so I'll have to trouble you."

Henson shook the box, "What's inside? Can I take a peek?"

"No way!" Estelle shook her head.

"Got it. Don't worry, I won't sneak a peek!"

"Thank you!"

"No need to thank me!"

Henson mumbled, shaking the box again, curious about its contents. He thought Jonathan would be really touched when he received this gift!

That night, Estelle made a video call to Old Mr. Jarvis.

They chatted for a while. She acted normal, even joking about his newly cultivated orchids.
