Chapter 339 A Surprise Confession

"You always talk about wanting to escape from this

relationship, feeling a lack of security, and not knowing how

far it can go. And I, in matters of the heart, am someone who is accustomed to self-protection. In our time together, I may have failed to provide you with the security and everything you desired. We haven't been together for just six months, but these six months have been a breakthrough for me,

going from zero to a hundred. We have experienced a lot and solidified our beliefs. Evelyn, I love you. This ring is for you. Once you put it on, you can't take it off." Huston's deep voice carried a hint of urgency, and his eyes reflected her bewildered yet touched expression.

Evelyn looked at the man standing in front of her. His

movements were so elegant, and his eyes were so focused on

her, as if she was the only one in the world in his eyes, which

made her feel that she was cherished.

She didn't know when she had such a feeling last time. She had been too tired all these years, both mentally and physically. She had no expectations for such romantic treatment, but she didn't expect that he would do it.

Her tears fell in a pitter-patter, tracing her cheeks and leaving wet streaks behind. If it weren't for him reaching up to wipe

them away, Evelyn wouldn't have realized that she had

started crying.

How long had she waited for such a scene?

Evelyn had always hoped that someone would do this for her,

and she almost thought she would never have one again.

Looking at her tearful face affectionately, Huston thought,

"She looks so beautiful even when she's crying."

He lowered his head and took the ring out of the box. When

he was about to put the ring on Evelyn's left hand, he stopped and looked up at her. "Do you want me to put it on for you?"

Evelyn nodded without hesitation, and her voice trembled slightly because of her excitement. "I do!"

Huston smiled as he slid the ring onto her finger, fitting perfectly. As Evelyn looked at the additional ring on her finger, a unique emotion surged within her, making her feel like they would always be together.

Huston pulled her into his arms, kissing gently on her head.

"Now I can rest assured. You won't be able to run away from

me anymore."

Evelyn smiled, and her tears fell on his expensive clothes. Her heart was full of sweetness. "When did you prepare these..."

"When you came to the hospital to see me." At that time,

Huston thought he would never see her again when he opened his eyes, but he didn't expect that she had always been staying by his side, taking good care of him and forgiving him for lying to her. All of this touched and made him feel guilty.

He had done too little for her. In the past, he didn't dare to face the truth. But now that he had decided, there was nothing to hide.

Evelyn couldn't help covering her mouth. He had started preparing for this so early, but she hadn't noticed it at all.

Just as she was thinking about it carefully, the door behind her opened again; and steady footsteps were heard behind

her. Evelyn turned and saw Kevin, Matt, Marcellus, and Mabel

walking over together.

"When, when did you..."
