Chapter 471 You're In A Hurry to Die

The door closed with a click. Evelyn stood in the middle of the room and looked at her coldly. "What's the matter? Can you

tell me now?"

"What's the rush?" Mia looked indifferent, which made people

angry.

Evelyn frowned and didn't want to be alone with her for too

long. "I only have half an hour."

The more anxious she was, the happier Mia became. If

she was in a hurry to die, it would save Mia the trouble of

scheming.

"Evelyn, if it weren't for Huston, I'd rather like you to be so

direct."

Of course, Evelyn didn't think it was a compliment from the bottom of her heart. Her expression was as cold as ever as if she was watching her perform alone.

Only then did Mia raise her hand and point to the medical disinfectant cabinet. "There's a set of protective clothing

inside. Put it on. I'll take you to meet someone."

Evelyn didn't move. She stood still for a moment with a faint smile in her eyes. "What are you up to?"

"You're still worried after all this?" Mia finally stood up from the bed, walked to the cabinet, and opened the door. She took out two white isolation suits and changed into one of them. She looked at the other door in the room meaningfully and said, "There are serious patients inside. They must be isolated before they can enter."

Only then did she notice that it was another room? Evelyn didn't expect it to be connected to another ward.

Evelyn reached out and took the isolation suit. She took off her

coat and put it on quickly. Neither of them spoke. One of them had ulterior motives, and the other was on guard. There was

only the sound of fabric rubbing against each other in the air.

After wrapping herself up tightly, Evelyn straightened up and said, "Let's go."

Evelyn felt that Mia had a strange expression on her face, but

she couldn't put her finger on it. From the moment she entered the room, nothing had happened.

Mia secretly restrained the strange smile that flashed across her lips. She walked to the door and pushed it open, only to

see a completely different scene.

It was also a ward. It was a little smaller than the room of Mia, but it was equipped with a lot of equipment. There were two huge machines on both sides of the bed. The pipes were connected to the body on the bed, and the cold liquid was constantly sent into it. If it weren't for the heartbeat on the screen next to her, she would even feel that this person was dead.

"Beep-beep, beep-beep."

It was so quiet that it was strange, and only the cold sound of heating could be heard.

The soles of Evelyn's feet were a little numb, and her hands in

the isolation suit couldn't help clenching a little. On the other hand, Mia was very calm, as if she was used to it. "This is my

grandma, my biological grandma."

Mia's words broke the silence in Evelyn's heart. Evelyn was very surprised. "What?"

"You don't know yet, do you? Although my parents passed away early, my grandma is still alive, but..." She glanced at the person on the hospital bed. "She's in a bad condition. Her brain has been dead for many years. She's in a vegetative

state, unconscious, and relies on the instruments in this room

to survive."

Evelyn struggled for a long time before her eyes fell on the face in the white pillow. It was wrinkled and sickly pale. Her facial features had been tortured by age and illness, especially her body under the quilt. Although she couldn't see

it directly, she could imagine how thin it was.

And this person was the grandmother of Mia.

Suddenly, Evelyn's throat felt dry. She looked away and didn't want to see anymore. "Why are you telling me this?"
