Flirting With My Ex-husband -
Chapter 1220
Scarlett went to bed early last night and woke up early the next morning. The dressers had arrived, and Alexis was entertaining the guests. As soon as she woke up, noises were heard from outside. Cindy and others came to help. Over the years, Scarlett didn't have many friends. There were only a few people she was familiar with.
"Lettie?"
Alexis knocked on the door. Scarlett pulled on a red jacket and said, "Come in, it's not locked."
Alexis pushed open the door and came in.
Scarlett went out of bed and smiled at her friend. "Usually, you don't wake up so early.
Alexis raised an eyebrow and crowed, "I know what is important. Today is different. I'd rather stay up all night than stay in bed!"
She put down a bowl of porridge and said," Wash up and have some porridge. The dressers have arrived."
Scarlett responded with a smile, "Okay."
Alexis was reliable at such a moment.
The bedroom of Scarlett's house was as large as over 50 square meters. The bed was at the far end, and there was a parlor outside. The two rooms were separated by a partition wall.
The bed was above the stairs, and the bathroom was in the opposite direction.
Alexis led the others to wait in the parlor before Viviana came in. Ben and Rowan were entertaining the guests outside.
Moderation was never Raymond's thing. This time, he would impress the entire city with his high profile.
For the wedding, he had booked the largest hotel in Juanton City. It happened that the Thomas family was the owner. Jake vacated the hotel for him even though his reservation was quite urgent. The business partners were also invited by Raymond.
The invitations had been sent. Whether to come or not, it was up to them.
Raymond had a wide range of acquaintances who rarely had a chance to dine with him. Now that an opportunity presented itself, they were more than glad to come. Since so many guests were here, it would certainly be a long day. She should take the chance to fill her empty stomach.
Scarlett was not a fan of sweet and greasy food. In her pregnancy, she couldn't even stand the smell of food with strong flavors. Following Raymond's order, Alexis woke up at five o'clock in the morning and asked the housekeeper to cook the porridge for Scarlett.
The porridge was tasty and gooey. A foodie she was, Alexis had three bowls of it. After Scarlett finished one bowl, Alexis tried to get her another, but Scarlett shook her head.
"Full?"
Scarlett nodded and replied, "I have no appetite." "You had too little. No wonder your belly still hasn't bulged even though you're four months pregnant!"
Scarlett looked askance at her friend and said, "You just wouldn't stop teasing me."
Alexis cringed and said, "I'll put it in the oven and bring you another bowl an hour later."
According to Raymond, Scarlett should eat less but more times.
Alexis felt mushy at the thought of the attention list sent by Raymond.
Even a married woman like her couldn't stand such displays of affection.
She was not inferior. Justin was nice to her. Humph!
