Scarlett slept until eleven o'clock the next day. She opened her eyes. Sunlight came in through a chink in the curtains.

She squinted and subconsciously said, "Hilla, open the window". Sitting for a moment, Scarlett remembered that she was now in Chatbury City, not Juanton City.

She was a little uncomfortable with this.

It was colder in Chatbury City than in Juanton City. It was a rare sunny day. The sun was shining brightly.

Scarlett ate a bowl of noodles and took a book, sitting in the rocking chair on the balcony while reading.

It was quite pleasant.

The day passed quickly. Alexis had to start acting in a TV drama tomorrow. Before boarding the plane, she said a lot to Scarlett on the phone.

Finally, Alexis, who was always carefree, asked, "How come you replied to my message so late last night?"

Scarlett was flipping through a book. She paused. "I was looking for a taxi."

"You didn't find a taxi in more than half an hour? Do you have another sweetie? Otherwise, why didn't you call me and let me take you back? You don't answer me. That means yes. Am I right? My goodness. Lettie, you're really something!"

Scarlett couldn't stand her wild thoughts. "Something happened."

"What happened? Did Jadon send someone to threaten you?"

Scarlett clucked. "You turned a year older and wiser."

"That explains it. The hospital's Wi-Fi should be good so that we can chat smoothly. How much did you pay them in compensation?"

Alexis learned to fight back.

Scarlett raised an eyebrow. "Do I look like such a violent person?"

Would she casually put someone in the hospital?

"Yes."

"I'm hanging up."

Alexis hastily called out, "No! You haven't told me what happened."

Scarlett chuckled. "Haven't you guessed?"

Scarlett didn't say anything, but Alexis had said the end of the story. What else should Scarlett tell her?

"I believe what you said."

"Oh, then I may have done something you can't believe.

Last night, Scarlett drank some red wine. She was sullen and the alcohol took effect. Jadon just made trouble for her yesterday.

Alexis grunted. "You underestimate me. I know you very well."

Good!

Scarlett curved her lips. "Last night, Jadon asked his people to kidnap me. I beat them away. Then I went to Jadon s house with a baseball bat and smashed all his antiques in two living rooms and a study."

Alexis was dumbfounded.

What a tough woman!

"So are you okay?"

Alexis knew Scarlett wouldn't tell lies. Thinking of what Justin told her about the Hudson family, Alexis became worried and serious.

"Raymond was also there last night."

"Have you returned to him?"

Scarlett gave a wry smile. "Don't be silly."

"This is not the point. Why did you and Raymond stay together again?"

"You may not believe me if I say I met him by chance."

"I believe!"

Scarlett pursed her lips and told Alexis that Raymond followed her yesterday.

Immediately after that, Alexis cursed, "Raymond is shameless! But you're not! What a jerk! He dares to chase you!"

"I have nothing to do with him."

She wouldn't turn back.

"Very good! Go on like this! Ah, my flight is boarding! Let's talk after I arrive!"

After Alexis said that, there was no voice from the other end.
